I went to WDW from Dec. 6-10, 2006 and stayed at the WL. I had requested a Main Courtyard view but got a room on the first floor facing the Villas.....

Disney Park fan, thanks. I had the same exp. with the villas..I came to love the view. You brought goose bumps to me. We were there in May 2006....I fairly sure I will never go any place else. :cool1:

I just read on another thread that the WL pool is being redone. Does anyone know when this starts? It's open now right? We leave on Friday.

We leave in 8 days and are getting really excited. We have always stayed moderate, never deluxe and never WL.

So here is my question, I love the idea of the turndown, when do you leave a tip for this? Do you leave it before they turndown and when you leave the room? What about mousekeeping? Do you just leave the cash on the bed or in a special envelope?

Not sure about tipping in regards to the turn down service as we have never used it. As for the Mousekeepers, we just put the cash in an envelope marked for Mousekeeping and left it on the bath room counter when we left for the morning. I don't have the website handy but you can search the boards to find the link. It has nice logos that have the Disney characters and they say "Thank You Mousekeeping". Just save the one you like and print it on the envelopes before you leave. We always put the money in before our trip and seal them. Then each day we pull one out and leave it.

I think a lot of folks leave their tip for regular mousekeeping in their room in the morning, then a tip for the turn down mousekeeper is left later in the day (for example, when they return to the resort mid-day for a swim). Many people do use special envelopes.

Yes, that's what we do. In the morning when we head out I leave a note for housekeeping/mousekeeping and add any "needs" we may have, etc onto the note and I leave the tip with the note.

When we come back in the afternoon and we need turndown I will call down and ask for it and then leave a note with turnddown and the tip with the note. If I don't need anything I just write a nice "thank you" on the note.:thumbsup2

The housekeeping/mousekeeping envelopes probably come in handy for this instead of leaving a note but I always forget to make them up before our trip.

I've decied I want a WL resort banner in my signature but I don't know where they're at. Anyone? Thanks!

My apologies for asking something I'm SURE is on this huge thread, but 331 pages is too many to skim!

Can someone tell me the regular season rate for a deluxe room (May 2007)?
Thanks!

Okay, I've decided my family and I will be staying on the concierge level for Dec. 2008, don't laugh, I like to attend to all the details :) Here's my question....I was reading allears.net for the reviews of the concierge level. I saw something about a pre-planning office on the concierge level. Can anyone give me details? I would appreicate it, thanks.

Not sure but do you mean the Banners that the DVC Members have? If so you may copy from this post and add it to your siggie.

We don't usually post the room rates, just the link on page 1 for the Walt Disney World Website:

A Deluxe Room (Jr. Suite) Regular Season $550.00 + tax

On page 1, second post about half way down we have gathered information about the Concierge Level. The Cast Members that assist with your request will receive notification when your reservation is made and will contact you about 200 days out from your arrival date. If reservations are made under the 200 day mark they will contact you in a few days. The information I have post on the 2nd post of this thread was put together by several WL Vets.

I hope the information posted there will answers your questions, if you still need more information just post...someone should be able to answer your question.

I just made my reservations today for our Christams 2007 trip over at the Villas.

Have a Great Time with your planning.

so I'm trying to book a room for December at the lodge with a E-mail Pin and apparently they do not have any rooms available for this special ... they do have a studio availabe.
what would the difference be?:confused3
We are 2 adults and a 4yr & 7yr old.

First - I recall there being a WL soundtrack being available. Is true or was I dreaming it ?? :confused3

Second - Has anyone ever tried to compile a picture database of every room in the WL ? I'm stupid....er, crazy:scared1: enough to give it a shot if no one else has. If there is none and the response is favorable, set uup a process to start having a standard set of pics sent to me....(1-from entry looking in, 2-from far end looking back, 3- view from balcony/window.) Could be a fun time killer for a WL obsessor.

The Studio Villas are 356 square feet and come with one queen bed and a full sleeper sofa. There is a small dining table and two chairs, color TV, and bathroom. Also included are a microwave, coffee maker, under the counter refrigerator, ceiling fan, wet bar, hair dryer, iron, ironing board and vacuum cleaner. There will also be a private porch/balcony. The Studio Villa can accommodate a maximum of 4 adults and one child under 3 in a crib.

The Villas are usually booked up fast for December by DVC members that own there. I just made my reservations for next December yesterday. You need to call soon and make the reservation if it's still available.

Even though I love the Wilderness Lodge and The Villas, I would try and check other resort availability if it's a great discount.

Good Luck

There's no soundtrack available but they will give you a list of the songs. I have a playlist on my itunes that is a complied list of all of the songs I could find. Some I just couldn't find. If I find the list that they gave me I will post it for you.
