My darling & I went to WL for the first time this past May, and I recently finished my scrapbook pages documenting our arrival. If you'd like to check them out, click on: Kinfolk. :)

I hope I got everyone added to the list, please let me know if I've missed anyone.
Thanks

Sorry, but there is no single day's use park hopper option. You either must purchase hopping for the length of your tickets or purchase an additional and seperate single day's ticket. Even if you are on day 9 of 10 day tickets, adding the hopping option is based upon the original ticket -- all 10 days.

 Hooray! We are going to stay at WL for the 1st time this November!

I've read (most of) this thread today and am even more excited now!

We needed to change our vacation dates and OKW did not have any availability for the first 2 nights of our ammended dates. We're on a DVC waitlist but I think its a great excuse to try yet another incredible Disney resort!

We ate at WCC three years ago and were wow-ed by the incredible lobby and the whole atmosphere of the place. pixiedust:

We've never "split" our resorts; I'm a little apprehensive, but lots of people do it and hopefully it will go off without a hitch.

I was told that since our party has children, our request for 2 connecting rooms will be honored. I requested a Courtyard View, but am considering a Woods View if it will be quieter during nap time and at bedtime.

Perhaps an upper floor (5th or 6th) would be a good idea?

Any advice for this WL newbie would be appreciated! Thanks!

Kathy

Be aware they cannot/do not guarrentee connecting rooms. CM's are not allowed to do this. Just wanted you to be aware of this.

We're also considering WL as a first time, we've stayed at just one Disney resort, AKL but thinking of two or three next trip! A few questions ..
If we took the "small" boat to CR, we could hit the monorail to MK and where would we end up? Would it be an easy walk to MK, or one of those things that takes you to gates from the parking areas? (its been a few years since I've gone to MK) .. and what would be a popular room suggestion for MK view, preferably for the fireworks as thats what the aunt wants .. we're probably going with standard view, thanks! (two queen beds)

Edit: and I forgot, is there any restaurants at WL that would have chicken fingers? its generally all I eat, easy on the stomach.

We'll be at WL Dec. 10 - 16th. Is anyone else having trouble booking a sleigh ride? I called at the 90 day mark and was told it's too early to book - might be another 30 days. Confused...

We Have our TA on it.
Rumors here and from what she found out is that reservations may not be available til November.

BTW we will be there Dec. 9th - December 14th. There are others here that will be there during that same week. :wave2:

Just wanted to say a quick thank you to everyone one the thread - we leave a week from today and check in to the WL in just 9 days     for one WHOLE week!

I have a courtyard room reserved in Dec. Is there anything special I should request? I have read that some of the courtyard views face the villas (are these bad?). Also, how many rooms have the enclosed balcony (just the 6th floor?). Thanks...

Re: Sleigh ride
When I called on Tuesday, they told me that they didn't expect to be able to take bookings until November. I don't really know why, but that's what the CM's manager told her.

Dumb question , but how do they intend to pull a sleigh with no snow? Is it a real sleigh or a carriage?

We are going to WL right after MLK weekend (the Wed. after).
I haven't seen very many posts of people going at this time.
If they were giving an upgrade, has anyone ever been given
an upgrade when the had 2 rooms on the ressie? Just curious
as we have taked my parents with us, seperate room but on our ressie several times and I don't think we ever got an upgrade when we had 2 rooms. We have been upgraded with one though. Anyone? :surfweb:

The views that face the villas & quite pool aren't bad...it's just more quite. If you want to have a view of the main pool, gyser and a lot more activity request inner courtyard view.

I believe only the 6th floor ones are enclosed...but someone else should confirm that for you.

Yooperfan

On most trips I also book two rooms, I have received a upgrade to two Wood Views with a connecting room with bunk beds when traveling with my young nephews. I have also received a upgrade on two Courtyard Views but they were adjoining one was a Inner Courtyard the other was located across the hall and had the Villa view. I have also received many other upgrades to Inner Courtyard Views with two rooms but they were futher away from each other. (yet still close) So yes they can upgrade a reservation with two rooms.

Don't tell anyone but there are wheels hidden by the sleigh runners.

We just got done booking three rooms for January 4-13, 2007 for a 9 person Grand Gathering. Now the hard part waiting…………..

In the mail today I received an updated mailing and I noticed on the special request I had non-smoking, then it said plz. make dinning arrangements and on another line it said please note "near boat launch". I have a courtyard room booked and mentioned I wanted to be on the same side of the resort as the boat dock since the MK bus isn't running in Nov. I have all my ADRs, why would they put the line about dinning in? Maybe since we are on the dinning plan. Should I call and double check my ARDs?
I am not sure if I should call and have that removed from my request so the boat launch request is higher?
TIA
