WL courtyard 12/23-12/30. We thought we would never get a room at Christmas time. I can't believe we are going to be at WL again. We sooooo love this resort. My kids are just as excited. Icing on the cake dinner at CRT on Christmas day. Somebody pinch me I think I'm dreaming!!!!!

I think I have heard various answers to this question, but when does WL typically decorate for Christmas? We saw the decorations in Jan. '05, but we're staying there at the time. I'm really not expecting them to be up 11/11-11/13 but it would be a nice treat if they were.

Can someone give me the address for WL? I want to have baskets delivered from Disney Florist.com and need it.

Is it only me that finds it amusing that Disney Florist needs to be given the address of a Disney resort? ;)

My Wise Friends,

I have a quick question:

I will be staying at the WL for the first time 9/9-14/06, and got a super deal through WDW Travel by asking them to match a sale I found on Expedia. The thing is...I bought the basic Standard room, and am worried about just what I'll see out my balcony window.

Any suggestions as to what I should say in my fax request? I've had terrific luck with stays at POFQ and CBR with this method, but don't have much of a clue what to ask for at WL, or if I should pot luck it, and then ask for an upgrade when I check in. Since the second week of September should be relatively low in attendance at the parks, can I assume that occupany rates at WL will be low as well - and that there might be a good inventory for the CM at the desk to choose from? Or is WL so popular that I should stick with the fax request?

Thanks, and sorry to be so anal about this.

Alison

We were there in June, in a standard room and loved it. We stayed on the sixth floor, north wing. Our room did overlook the service bay, but we were high enough up that the sounds of the trucks didn't bother us too much and we weren't there much during daylight hours. The night time view from our room was worth any daytime noise. We could see the top of Cinderella's castle and watch Wishes (fireworks show) every night from our balcony. It was beautiful. We were in room 6056 and had a perfect view of the castle during the day and the fireworks at night. Hope this helps! Good luck and you'll love it, regardless of where your room is.

Thanks Laura,

I just read on AllEarsNet.com that WL does not take fax requests like most of the other properties. I guess I'll have to call WDW Travel and make the request that way and see what I get.

I think you're right, I think whatever I get will probably be teriffic. And if not, I can always asked to be moved if I get put in a room I don't like.

Good luck on that '08 trip. Have fun with the planning!

No. That struck me as quite odd as well... :confused3

When I first planned to stay at WL and made my reservations I requested a Woods View room. It's what I wanted and I was really hoping for a view of the castle. Between adding nights and getting the AP discount and whatnot I've ended up with a Courtyard View. I know to ask for inner courtyard. Please sell me on this view! What's wonderful about it?

Having trouble searching for the answer...

Can anyone tell me which wing (north or south), area and floor is best to view the EWP? Thanks!

Well after requesting a woods view room to make sure we got bunk beds we did........But my kids said never again. They kept hitting their heads off of the botom bunk when they sat up. :) :rotfl2:

But other than that this was my first stay at WL and I have to say that we loved it....... We were on the 4th floor right above the lobby. We had a terrible view #4081. But after being their I would rather be close to the lobby then have a good view. We were close for roaring forks, Store, and Laundry room. I heard many people complain about how far they had to come to do their laundry.

Room was very clean we had animal towels our first 3 days. Kids were happy. Only complaint is that mousekeeping would come about 3pm everyday, when we would be back in the room for a shower and change of clothes.

Other than that WL was an awesome experience and it probably has spoiled us to stay anywhere else for a while.

If you have any questions that I can help with please let me know

THanks

Hello WL Lovers, my husband and I are taking our 2 year old to WDW for the first time in December and will be staying at the WL. Since we have never been to the WL before, we are not sure what kind of room to request. Our reservation says we have a Woods View but that is all. Now I know the following questions must surely have been asked prior to this but seeing that there are over 250 pages to this thread I am a little overwhelmed. So if any of your would be kind enough to help, I would GREATLY appreciate it.

What kind of view should I request and what should I stay away from? I would like to be semi-close to the boat docks and I do not want a parking lot view or service area view. Ohh yea and since I have a 2 year old I can not have a room that has bunk beds. (she is a climber and a jumper and bunk beds would be too dangerous and tempting for her).I must have 2 queen beds. I would also like a room that has been recently renovated. Again, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I believe that all the room are done or almost done. My room was newly renovated. Personally with small children I liked the closeness to the lobby. My hubby and kids and I were never on the balcony. It was nice to get a shower in the am and go get hot chocolate by walking down to roaring forks then coming back up to wake the family.

My wife and I are staying at the WL for our 15th Anniversary  . We are leaving the kids at home for this trip :cool1: . This is our first stay at WL and I would appriciate any advice on getting a romantic view from our room. We book thru Disney with a Courtyard View. Any suggestions would be greatly appriciated. Any restraunt suggestions would be great too since our last trip was with three kids and limitted our dining choices. Thanks. pirate:

We did not eat there, but I had the salmon from Artist's Point and it was wonderful! (Kind waiter from WCC was able to get that for me) Check the menus on allearsnet site for menus to help with your decision. I think a lot of the resort restaurants would be a great choice. You can relax and stroll around the grounds. We especially enjoyed that after eating at Boma.

Thanks, didn't think about being close to the lobby before.

This may have been asked before, but I couldn't find it anywhere. Is there any internet access at WL? My hubby will be needing to check in with work at least once while were are there. Is there somewhere there to get access? If there is nothing at WL, what about anywhere else?

Anyone?

Thanks!

Yes, they do. They have high speed internet access now available right in the room. Does he have a laptop? He would need that to access it. It is 9.99 for each 24 hours of access, we found that it was best to log on at night because then you had it a full 24 hours after that initial log on.
They do not have public computers available for use and internet, you would need a laptop.
