Ok..let me see if I can help you out a bit here. I think trying to get breakfast at Spoodles..DD..then WL and over to MGM within 4 1/2 hours, would be quite a chore. You wouldn't leave Spoodles until almost 11am..then you'd have to take the Boardwalk Bus to DD .. probably arriving at DD 11:30, earliest..then you'd have to take the DD bus back to WL, so you'd have to get in line for that the latest, 12:15.. and if you want an hour rest, you'd want to be back to WL by 12:45 pm and leave there about 1:45..so that would mean maybe an hour at DD, at the most. And you'd be going from Epcot/MGM area..to DD area..to MK area..back to Epcot/MGM area. Boy..did you get all that?? :rotfl: That's too much traveling in a short period of time. To get to Spoodles by 10:00 I would take whichever park bus comes first..take that..and then once you arrive at the park..I would get in the line for the buses going to Boardwalk resort. I would start my journey no later than 8:30 am.

I don't think you'll have a problem doing AK and Boma with a WL rest in between. I would go to the AK for rope drop..plan on having to leave the WL about 3:30 for your trip to AKL/Boma.. I would take the WL Bus to one of the parks (whichever bus arrives first)..then take the park bus over to the AKL. You would probably need about 90 minute to do that and arrive with a little time to spare for your Boma seating. I know..cuz I have to do the same thing :)

Lisa (or anyone), would it save time to take the boat to MK and then catch a bus to Boardwalk? 8:30?! I was hoping to sleep in until then... at least. I've changed my itinerary around a bit....I'm gonna do DD a day earlier (WL concierge breakfast, lunch at Sassagoula (beignets!! ) , THEN DD and later dinner at Rose & Crown and IllumiNations.) I think that will work out mucho better....I hope.

When I need to go from one resort to another..what I do is take the first park bus that comes along. And yup..we start out about 90 minutes before. :) You could take the bus/boat to MK and then go to Boardwalk from MK..but if I were at the bus stop and an MGM or Epcot bus showed up..I'd get on that and then transfer to a Boardwalk bus at that park..or in the case of MGM..you can take the boat over to Boardwalk. You could do that with Epcot too..but you'd have to walk thru WS and that doesn't open until 11am. Hope that helps! I think you are definitely better now that you've rethought the DD trip..I think you would have been way pressed for time. :)

Little help here....

Made an appt. today at BBB for DD princess: (can't wait!). Her appt. is at 3:00 and we have an ADR at 1900 PF at 4:30, so I'm thinking we'll cab it there and back. What do you think guys???? Will we have enough time to get to 1900 PF by cab for 4:30? The CM I spoke with today said she'd be done around 3:30 - how long by cab from DTD to WL? Or GF? Anyone?

Thanks!!! :thumbsup2

If the CM will be done with your DD by 3:30...and your ressies are at 4:30..you should have no trouble at all taking a cab to GF for your 4:30 ressies. If it were me..I'd save the cab fare..and take the DD bus to the GF..you'd have enough time to get there by 4:30, as long as you are going direct from DD to GF, without a stop at WL in between. :) If you need to stop at WL before you trip over the GF..they are really close to each other..so you shouldn't have a problem with the cab :)

Hello fellow WL fans!

I read through much of this thread a couple months ago, simply because we love the WL, and have stopped there a couple times to admire it and have eaten at "that very quiet restaurant." ;) We hoped to stay there someday. Now, it looks like we are actually going for a long weekend stay just before our anniversary in November.   So, rather than reread this whole thread again, can someone tell me what floor and wing we should request for the nicest woodsview room? I remember people mentioned that over-looking the otter pond was a nice view. I can't believe we are really going! It's funny after reading about everyone elses plans very wistfully, to actually be going ourselves :goodvibes

Congratulations on your planned trip to the WL in November. You will LOVE it! We really enjoy the rooms we've had in the Northwing, overlooking Otter pond on the 4th and 5th floor. We have been able to see MK fireworks and the water pageant from our room and enjoy the peace and serenity of Otter pond during the day as well. Have a GREAT trip.

Sorry if this was covered somewhere else...can't get the search to work.

Are small kids allowed to wear water wings or other swim aids in the WL pools? TIA

We're staying at WL Jan 31-Feb 6 (FIRST TIME!!!) and we're not sure we'll get into the pool, but we want to be prepared. We live in Northern NJ and we'll swim in cool weather as long as the water is warm enough!

My daughter had her pink innertube "floatie" on and wasn't questioned, and my son used his noodle around his waist to help him swim. They also have the life preservers you have to wear on the watercraft rentals available for kids to use in the pools and I saw lots of kids with those on.
Have a great time!!!

I will be staying at Wilderness Lodge Dec 4 thru 10

Just want to verify some information:

I have ADR'S for 8:05am at Crystal Palace, Mk will open at 9:00, will either the Bus's or Boat's be running that early and will i make it on time???

Thanks
Brooke :sunny:

There is a bus that runs for the early ADR's Also the boats start at 7:30 but I woild take the bus as it is a bit faster. I have the same situration for a couple of my ADR's. and will be at WL

Just back from 9 days at the WL. Stayed Concierge for the first time and absolutely loved it! I did notice that they were still loading in some of the new furniture to a few of the CL rooms. Since CL was not completely sold out, I am sure they were rooms that weren't occupied. Adored the staff-- they were wonderful!

Would be happy to answer any questions while everything is fresh.

p.s. yes, they do have an airline scale that they actually use to weigh "questionable" bags. Mine got in just under the limit at 48.5 lbs.

now that I've had to totally rethink my packing strategy, it's especially good to know I don't have to guess & cross my fingers on the way home!!!
