Just thought I'd check in before hitting the hay. I was hoping chapter 2 would be posted, but I guess it is still early in [color=339900]ibouncetoo[/color]'s time zone.

I'm just watching the end of Celebrity Mole. It is pretty entertaining so far. I'm a sucker for reality shows.

Tigger Fans!, I'd have to agree with you about people needing to get out more if the great Chicken finger controversy bothers them that much. That being said, I wish the biggest thing I had to worry about in my life was one less chicken finger in my basket!

HuggaBaloo, please don't feel bad!! I am so glad you are going to the World!!! I can't wait to hear about your trip. We'll all get our turn sooner or later! The planning is half the fun, I just have more time to plan now

Well, I've been waiting for another chapter of our story but I'm feeling tired. Here's a quick story before I go...

Grab your pillow and blanket and come by the fire. Tonight we have brownies and fritos with bean dip. There's diet Sprite if you want something cool and, or course, hot chocolate.

Chapter 2
As their single masted sailing boat was tossed wildly about, the four occupants hung on for their lives. Yes, a storm had suddenly come up shortly after they left the safety of the river and headed into the sea. The little dragons were getting worried. You see, they are flying dragons (or will be when their wings mature), not swimming dragons (commonly, but erroneously, called sea-serpents). Lovey clung to the rudder, trying to keep their vessel on course and Pearl attended to the two sails. Suddenly, a large wave engulfed the boat and with a shriek, Sister dragon was washed overboard!
"Grab my tail" shouted Brother, as he dove for the side of the boat.
Pearl quickly grabbed his tail with both hands and braced her feet on the side of the ship. Brother streatched his whole length and reached into the water and grabbed his sister by her ear.
Lovey cleverly turned the rudder so the boat moved into the valley between two waves, grabbed Pearl by the waist and they were able to pull everyone back on board!
"allck, allck" said Sister as she spit saltwater and her brother pounded her on the back. As soon as she could stand Sister grabbed her brother and gave him a big hug.
"You are the bravest brother in the whole world!" she exclaimed.
"That was pretty amazing" agreed Lovey. "And Pearl, I've never seen you move so fast!"
"Well, you were pretty clever yourself, Lovey, moving the boat so we could be pulled back on board so easily."
Brother, who was a little embarrassed by all the fuss noticed that the storm was letting up and pointed out that bit of news to the girls.
"Grab some buckets and start bailing out some of this water." said Lovey. She was, after all, serving as captain on this voyage. She and Pearl took turns being captain, but since Lovey knew the way (more or less) to the Magical Kingdom, she was in charge this trip.
After a half hour of bailing in the waning storm, Pearl said "Looks like everything is fine now. Fortunately the sails did not tear so we should be able to sail on easily now."
"Ships can sail with torn sails" said Sister.
"Now, how would you know that, smarty?" asked her brother.
"Because that big black ship over there, the one with the black flag with the white.....face?..... is sailing just fine. It's even catching up to us!"
"Oh my goodness!"
"Holy Smokes!
"YES!"

Okay, I know I said I was headed to bed but I just had to check one more time to see if our fantastic story had been continued! I'm sure glad I stopped in! Things are really getting exciting!

Who could be on that boat with the black sails??

back.....after a couple mins. on the CB and making a lovely cuppa with whipping cream and sugar free hazelnut syrup.......yummmm.
Let's see, where were we.......flips pages...ah, yes, the pirate ship!


Yes, friends, there was a pirate ship! A big, black ship, with tattered sails and the jolly roger flapping in the breeze.
"Could it be?" asked Pearl.
"Oh, I hope so!" said Lovey.
"Hope so! Hope so!" said Sister, jumping up and down, her tail flapping against the deck. "Even I've heard of pirates. Aren't they bad?... And excuse me for not realizing what that black flag ment." she added meekly.
"BAD, I'll say they're bad" yelled Brother. "They swash buckles and stuff!"
"Um, I don't think they do that" said Pearl. "But they do pillage and plunder."
"That doesn't sound good"mumbled Sister.
"Oh, don't you worry, I'll protect us!" said Brother, his chest swelling as he stood as tall as he could.
"I don't know that we'll actually need protection." said Lovey. "Just listen for a minute."
As they got quiet, they could hear the strangest sound coming for the black ship.....
"yo ho yo ho...hm hmmmmmmm hmmmm hmmm hmm"
"Is that singing?" said Pearl listening harder.
"Yes, I do believe so" answered Lovey "It dosn't sound like they are in pillaging mode."
"They kind of sound like my Uncle Rick after he visits Pleasure Island" said Pearl, "when he has his meetings of the Adventurers Club."
"You don't suppose pirates belong to the Adventurers Club, do you?" asked Lovey.
"I suppose we'll find out soon, that ship is very close."

Just then a rough and grubby sailor yelled from the ship, "Ahoy, the small ship!"
Lovey and Pearl looked at each other, nodded, and without saying a word, turned and yelled back to the pirate......

"Kungaloosh!"

The pirate turned and yelled to his shipmates, "Tell the Cap'n, they knows the bloody password. We must offer them aid now!"
Lovey and Pearl began to shiver with excitment, they were sure they would now, finally, get to meet the famous Captain Jack Sparrow.

Then suddenly, there he was, standing at the side of the ship. Oh, he was everything they could have imagined.....except perhaps he was a little shorter than the Cap'n Jack of their dreams. Nevertheless, he stood erect, with his flowing hair and flashing black eyes!
"Hello, poppets" he said. "As ye knows the password of the renowned Adventurers, we will offer you whatever aid we can.
Ehhh, what's them that's traveling with you? I've not seen the likes of them afore."
"I AM A DRAGON" shouted Brother. "AND I'LL FLAME YOU IF YOU HARM ONE SCALE ON MY SISTER'S HEAD"
"Rest easy, little one" Cap'n Jack answered. "If ye be a dragon, there's no call to be worry'n. The likes of you are so rare, not even the scurviest knave would harm ye."
"But I heard people try to slay dragons" said sister.
"Mayhaps in other parts of the world, but never this close to the Magical Kingdom." replied Jack. "I've heard tell at least three dragons live there and are respected and even loved by some."
"You've seen these other dragons?" asked Lovey.
"Well, I never clapped eyes on them meself, but I've heard tell of em."
"We must get there!" said Sister, "we must see if they are our family!"
"Well, I can lead you to Pleasure Island" said Jack. "And from there it be but a short ways on."
"Oh, would you please take us there?" asked Pearl.
"Well, the crew could use a respite at the Island and I've been want'n to explore inland as I've heard tell of a town where the rum flows like water and the can can girls are the most beautiful in the world."
"What's a can can girl?" asked Sister.
"Never mind that!" said Lovey and Pearl simultaniously.
"Just throw us a tow line" said Lovey, a little hurt that Cap'n Jack was talking about can can girls.

And soon, the big black ship was towing the small, one masted ship off towards the infamous Pleasure Island, which rested near the entrance to the Magical Kingdom. And as the ships sailed away, you could hear someone say "Where's the rum?"

Sam had a good day at school yesterday-only two classes. She was pooped when she got home though. She is back at it today for 2 classes-plus lunch- she has got to get that socializing in. Her friends have been really good about carrying her backpack to class for her. She wants to start back full time next week but I'm not so sure. I'm a worry wart <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/23/23_4_45.gif' border=0></a>
Will pop in later. Lots of taxing to do for Sam. She goes to two classes but they are not back to back-of course-so I need to shuttle her here and there! Be good!!
