Ah, I see. How far is the distance btwn the two resorts, would you say? Easy to walk btwn the two?

Not too bad of a walk - but too long to want to run back to your room to use the "facilities". :lmao:

Check out our other popular thread:

Many of the "regulars" have been kind enough to post their pictures - this might help with some of your logistics questions! :thumbsup2

I am so sad!!! I just called to make my resv and now the rate has gone up to 169.00 instead of 149.00 which really means 189.00 for us b/c of hte resort fee and parking. :sad1: It puts it in the can't range :sad1::sad1:

Well persistence pays off! I called back and spoke to a different agent and got the 149.00 rate!! :cool1: I booked a block of 15 days so now I have to find some sweet airfare!! Yay!!! :dance3:

Not sure if this has been added here.

Dan, sorry, what is tow? And can anyone chime in to verify that AAA discounts are valid here at the restaurants? thanks! heather

TIW = Tables in Wonderland. It's a Disney discount dining card that Annual Passholders can purchase, to receive 20% off.

I have used my AAA card at Picabu, and yes they give a 20% discount on dining with it.

Did you use a discount or anything? Because I am getting 189 as a rate without the resort fee.

Persistence does pay off....I called a 3rd reservation rep and FINALLY got the $149 rate adjusted for those 3 days. The first rep I spoke to was so rude and "snarky" that I contacted customer service. This last rep was very helpful (as most have been). Worth calling back and following up even if they can't locate the rate right away. Thanks again! :thumbsup2

Just read your post again... I don't believe the Swan has a kiddie pool all to itself..... but there is one at the Grotto pool area.

:)

...and if you are staying during the summer months, that's the place to be with kids... While we were there in June there has been a DJ entertaining the kids - organizing activities and contests - he is usually set up on the basketball court next to the kiddie pool....
DD is too old for that sort of thing, but it's cute to watch the ones that enjoy it. :cheer2:
There are hair braiding, temp. tattoos, and sometimes sno-cones on the Dolphin side, too.

THANK YOU so much for all the information. Is there a sheet of paper that list all the kids activites for the week? We asked my son where he wanted to stay and he first said CR but we checked and unable to get a room. Then he said lets stay at the place that has the big Swan and Dolphin b/c it was great last time. I asked him how about AKL (not that I want to go back to AKL...thinking he enjoyed his stay there and all the animals)...this is from a 4 yrs and he said not Mommy the Swan I had a great time b/c it was so close to HS and the bus ride is shorter and I did not like the bus ride at AKL. Then he said let's try Swan for now and then in a few months lets go to Dolphin. YEAH!!! My husband thinks I'm brain washing him but this came out of his mouth. Other people think Swan/Dolphin does not have the Disney fell but my 4yr old think Swan/Dolphin is Disney.
