Love the pictures!!!!!!!!!!!!

Not to change the current subject...but I am determined to figure something out. Even after our many trips to the Dolphin, I can't seem to get the elevators right. I'm specifically talking about the ones that are near Picabu's. There is one halfway down the hall (before you turn to the Picabu hall) and another further down the hall.

I always end up taking the elevator to the lobby and then the esclator (the picture made me remember this question) and then walk to Picabu.

Anyone have any idea of what I'm talking about? For that matter does anyone have any cheat sheets on all of the elevators, etc. Sometimes we get so turned around!

OH MY! Yes I know what you mean and I TOTALLY forgot about the elevators! I would love to know the answer before I check in next month.

It depends on the room. I've stayed in 3 different rooms at the Dolphin, and 2/3 of the rooms had a sink/vanity inside and outside the bathroom door. The standard double bed room was the one that just had 1 sink, outside the bathroom door. If you are booking a standard room, count on just one sink.

Thanks, what my wife really wants is just not to have the vanity/Mirror inside the bathroom door with the toilet/shower, getting ready in the AM after a shower it gets to hot for her. So she doesnt really care about the number of sinks, just that there is one outside the bathroom door. I are looking at Dolphin Resort View with Balcony. After watching a couple vids, it seems like most have the vanity and sink, albeit only one sink, outside the bathroom door, so i think (someone please confirm) we are good then

Great pictures Dan!

We are staying at the Dolphin next year. Can't wait!

The Central elevator is the one halfway down the hall. The West elevator is the one further down the hall. I've been assigned in the East wing lately so I take the escalator from lobby, too.

Thank you!!!!! If you use the Central elevator does it go directly to all the floors or do you stop at the lobby?

Central and West don't have to stop at the lobby level (3rd floor) but can if someone's waiting to go up. Central elevator reaches higher floors than West because the central portion of the building is taller than the wings.

I need a Swan/Dolphin fix to help me recuperate from all the agita Irene caused this past weekend.

Anyone back from a recent trip with some new pics from our favorite resort? Pretty please, LOL! :flower3:

I staying at the Swan during Nov. and I'm getting a standard room view. Can anyone give me some pointers as to what to request for getting the best possible view?

We will be at the Swan in 23 days!!!!!! I am so excited. I am hoping to get an upgrade (fingers crossed) We are Starwood Preferred Guest Plus Members plus have the Amex. If not no biggie but a girl can dream :-)

Oh and the kids still have NO IDEA!!!! They don't even know we are going anywhere! I hope we can get to the airport before we tell them!

I am so jealous! We still have a month a few days to go but everyone is getting super excited - we are still in planning stages of Halloween costumes and planning Grotto pool time!

Have a wonderful vacation!

Are you speaking of the West Elevators?- I usually stay on the West side and that is one of our many reasons why the elevators take you straight down to Picabu's!

Dan GREAT photos - I will be just missing you on your next trip!

We will be arriving at the Dolphin on 9/30 very excited to get back there. We usually stay at the Swan but love the entire complex over there. Epcot is one of our favorite parks so any of those resorts are our first pick.

Thank you! We will surely have pool time! We normally go in February and the weather isn't always good for pool time. It will be perfect in a few weeks!!!

We will be staying at the Swan for the first time (24 days to go!), and had a question for those of you who have stayed there previously. Do you get all of the same Disney Resort TV channels that you do at the Disney run Resorts? Not a huge matter if you don't get it, but we do like to watch the info channels when we check-in and when we are getting ready in the morning.

It's been a while since we stayed at a Disney resort, so I'm not sure if you get all the same channels, but you do get a couple of info channels...including Stacey in all her glory!

So we are staying at the Dolphin on our next trip :cool1::banana:. We normally stay at Pop, but after walking around on our last trip, dh and I loved the idea of being able to walk to DHS and Epcot. I priced out YC/BC and Dolphin and with the nursing discount, dh said we could stay at the Dolphin.

Having always stayed in "Disney" resorts I have a few questions:

1. Is there a coffee pot in the room? If not, is there a decent place to get coffee? Do they use the same nasty coffee as the rest of Disney?

2. Reading through the last 10 pages or so, someone mentioned refillable mugs. Are these the different than the refillable mugs at Pop?

3. Any specific room requests? We will just be paying for a regular room, not preferred views or balcony.

4. Will I miss the *Disney* feeling of staying at Pop?

5. How are the buses to MK and AK?

6. What would be the preferred way to get from MCO to the hotel. I know we won't be able to use ME. Cab? Mears? Car service?

TIA, can't wait for our next trip and our first stay at the Dolphin :goodvibes.

An individual cup maker (12 oz), fresh Starbucks. :thumbsup2

They are different, same concept though. You can refill at any restaurant at either Swan or Dolphin.

3. Any specific room requests? We will just be paying for a regular room, not preferred views or balcony.

Ask for upgrade if possible when you book, and when you check in.

4. Will I miss the *Disney* feeling of staying at Pop?

Not at all. You will not have the various Pop icons though.

5. How are the buses to MK and AK?

Excellent, never a problem.

6. What would be the preferred way to get from MCO to the hotel. I know we won't be able to use ME. Cab? Mears? Car service?

I rent a car.

TIA, can't wait for our next trip and our first stay at the Dolphin :goodvibes.
