Good morning!

One quick question. If someone is assigned room 18-091 Central at the Dolphin Resort, does that mean that the room is on the 18th floor?

We stayed on the 18th floor on our last trip to the Dolphin in 2010 on the 18th floor central in a deluxe alcove....the views were amazing!

Has anyone recently sent their 3yo to Camp Dolphin? I see on the CD site it says 4-12, but disney.com and other sites say 3-12. I also found references to other's taking their 3yo's to the camp, so I'm wondering if either this is a recent change, or if 3yo's are officially accepted?

How awesome is that, to stay on the 18th floor? In all our trips, the 11th was our highest - in fact 11101 was our favorite rm at the Dolphin- great views from either direction and we were always just above the top shell on the front of the hotel.

I think it's 4. It might say 3 on a Disney site because I believe their kids' clubs changed the age to 3 (as long the child is potty-trained) recently. You can just go on S/D's website and send them an email -- or call them if you want to know for sure. Also, if it is 4, you could always take the 3 year old to the kids' club at BC. But it's sure nice being able to eat at a S/D restaurant and get free child care.

It was pretty awesome, but it looks like that cruise you are going to take looks amazing too!

I don't think the hotel itself offers in-room childcare (at least they didn't last year). I think they will recommend outside vendors/child care services that will come to the hotel. I have no idea about price. I didn't use the service, I just inquired about it.

I would assume they recommend the same service Disney recommends. But even if the suggest someone else, you can use any service.

This is the one from the Disney page:

You can even reserve a childcare specialist to accompany you and your family during your visit to the Parks, providing a helping hand where needed. Available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

To contact Kid's Nite Out, Inc., please call (407) 828-0920, 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., 7 days a week. Guests under age 18 must have parent or guardian permission to call.

I forget the rate. I have it at home in my spreadsheet. We've used them before and will use again on this trip for PFTS.

Here's the details from the DIS for Kids Nite Out:

Rates are based upon the number of children…

1 child - $16.00 per hour
2 children - $18.50 per hour
3 children - $21.00 per hour
4 children - 23.50 per hour
For groups or more than 4 children, all children must be 2 years of age or older. Please call Kid’s Nite for these rates
After 9:00 p.m., there will be an additional $2.00 an hour charge.
For children 6 weeks - 12 years old
One-time transportation fee of $10 will be added to total bill for the care provider.
All rates are hourly based, with a 4-hour minimum, and a one-time transportation fee. Cancellations require 24 hours notice to avoid the 4-hour charge. Advance reservations are required. Prices are subject to change without notice.
For childcare on Holidays and Special Events, rates are subject to change.

I have been lurking for forever, but finally am posting, so please forgive me if I do this wrong!

My questions about our upcoming stay at the Swan:
1) What are our potential views from a Swan Balcony room? Are there any bad views possible?
2) What are the chances of getting our request for connecting rooms with my parents (we have a queen/queen room booked and they have a king)?
3) If you purchase park tickets at the resort, can you charge them to your room (i.e. get Starpoints for the purchase) or are you buying the tickets through Disney?

I wondered this also and I believe tickets are through disney at the resort, so you can't charge them to your room.
