Nope...hmm? It took me to all the same pages I went to before (after the inital AmEx page.) Not sure why, but I'll keep trying and searching. Thanks :goodvibes
Are you going through all the steps to price out the trip? The box for the promo code doesn't pop up until the last page, where you would enter your payment info.

Yes, I found the box, but when I type it in it says it's not a valid code. Thanks for offering help :goodvibes

Have the rooms at the dolphin been renovated? Our last stay there was may 2009 and I found the rooms to be worn and run down. A friend of mine was thinking of staying there and I didnt want to recommend the dolphin unless the rooms have been renovated since I was last there.

As I said some pages back, with the size of these two resorts, I would say that there is renovation going on on a constant basis. I think there are always rooms being renovated. That said, I have never stayed in a room there that was not great.

Just came across a really good discount code for the folks who are planning to travel between May 17, 2011 and August 31, 2011: LINK HERE

The discount is on Travelocity...save 20% using Promo Code AMEX20H. It's good on all Travelocity "GoodBuy" hotels, which includes the Swan and Dolphin, as well as all of the Disney-owned resorts.

Here are the terms:
~Must be booked by May 31, 2011
~Qualifying purchase must be made with a valid American Express Card.
~Qualifying purchase means a three-night or longer GoodBuy Hotel stay which is offered on the Site during the Promotion Period.
~GoodBuy Hotel purchase requires a minimum spend of $800.

Unfortunately, I can't take advantage of the promo, since I'm traveling in October, but just for fun, I priced out some August dates. Travelocity is offering the same Sunsational rates offered on the S/D site...6th night free + $100 food & beverage credit. With the additional 20% savings, a 6-night stay works out to $112/night! *This is inclusive of taxes, but not including the $12 per night resort fee.*

Here's the math:
Room: Traditional Room with 2 Double Beds Non Smoking (2 Adults)
6 Nights:
Sat, Aug 20.....$149.00
Sun, Aug 21.....$149.00
Mon, Aug 22.....$149.00
Tue, Aug 23.....$149.00
Wed, Aug 24.....$149.00
Thu, Aug 25.....FREE

Sum of Nightly Rates:.........................$745.00
Tax Recovery Charge & Service Fees:..+ $95.00

Total Before Savings:.........................$840.00
Less Promotional Code Savings............$168.00

Total for 1 Room:..............................$672.00

PS - just want to point out that this is a pre-paid, non-refundable rate. And in reading the Travelocity fine print, it's noted that "GoodBuy reservations are generally ineligible for hotel award points or airline mileage."

Still, it's an awesome rate. Hope someone can take advantage of it!

WOW....I JUST DID THIS, NOT ONLY THAT YOU CAN ADD WDW TKTS AND GET 20% OFF!!!!!!!! I JUST SAVED ABOUT $250 OFF & DAY PARK HOPPERS FOR 2 adults, 2 kids.....PRICE WAS $40 Cheaper than Undercover Tourist BEFORE 20%........WOW WOW WOW :rotfl::banana::yay:

That's awesome...I didn't even think to price it with the tickets added. :thumbsup2

Of course, that just adds salt to my wound, since the discounts don't apply to my dates. Rats!

THANK YOU SO MUCH...THE DOLPHIN WAS AWESOME TOO, I HAD PREPAID THE SUNSATIONAL SAVINGS (NON-REFUNDABLE) I CALLED, THEY SAID BOOK THE SPECIAL, WHEN THEY GET THE BOOKING, THEY WILL REFUND MY MONEY, AND SENT A CONFORMATION E-MAIL...THANK YOU!!!! DIS BOARDS JUST SAVED ME ABOUT $500 ON HOTEL/TKTS!!!!:banana::banana::banana:

That is amazing! It is wonderful to see how much you can learn and save on the DisBoards but especially the Swan and Dolphin thread. It seems like some of the other threads are not as budget conscious as those of us who already love the Swan and Dolphin!

That has always been my experience at the Swan as well.

Wow, that deal probably can't be applied retroactively huh? We are staying there 5/21 through 5/29, and I booked through travelocity. I'm still happy with our rate ($129/night excluding tax, resort fee, & parking) but that's an awesome deal!

Whoo-hoo thank you so much for that code! I saved a LOT using it to book both the hotel and the tickets. Now I don't have to get the tickets from undercover tourist and I cancelled my old reservation.

do you know where can you find the most up to date pictures of the rooms at the dolphin?

So you called the dolphin and they said to go ahead and book through Travelocity? Just want to clarify since I am in the same situation!! I originally booked through the dolphin website though. Did you originally book through Travelocity? Would love to get the savings! THANKS!
