You ROCK!!! Thank you!!! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:
So excited that they will have egg hunts...we are driving from MD and will be at the resort super early on Sunday so we are going to take it easy, hope for an early check-in (probbably won't get it) and hang out at the pool. So at least the kids will be busy with some of these activities. I had been looking at the website, but nothing yet! I am working on putting together our own easter baskets (dont' need a $70 one!) so hopefully they will still deliver these to the room when we finally get it! :banana:
Thanks again! :cool1::cool1:

You're welcome, any time! The great people on this thread have been so helpful in helping me plan my vacation, it's nice to have some inside info myself for once :) I can't wait to come back and be a Dolphin expert myself! :banana: How old are your kids?

Does anyone know the name of the scent wafting through the Swan lobby? Some people on these boards didn't like it, but I found it to be quite unique. Not subtle by any means, but unique in that the moment I smell it it'll bring me back to WDW! Thanks!

Good morning!

It's called White Tea. Westin sells candles, oils, etc. in this scent on their website. Amazon carries it, too.

I love the White Tea scent in the Swan, but it was a little overpowering the last two times I was there (Dec. and March). A little goes a long way.

I agree it was overpowering 2 weeks ago as well!

I work for Yankee Candle & we provide a scent to some Sheraton & Westin hotels, but not the White Tea. I forget the name exactly, but it's a green grass fragrance. I have no idea how they determine which Sheraton & Westin's get which fragrances. We did carry the fragrance in-store for a few months but it didn't sell very well. The resorts use a highly concentrated form in their HVAC systems for public ares, that's how it's pumped in.

Is there anywhere online to find a resort room map like I have seen for the Disney resorts?

Have not stayed here before so just trying to get an understanding of how the rooms are layed out in the Dolphin. I know there are a lot ... just not sure where they're all at in that big building.

We'll be there for 2 weeks so requesting a good location is important to us.

Thanks for any insight! Appreciate all the feedback I have read on here.

We love staying at the Westin Diplomat in Hollywood, Florida. The white tea scent and the ocean together in one place.....ahhhhhhh :)

Leaving in 9 days!!!

3 nights at the Swan
7 nights at the Contemporary

I know what you are asking for but I'm not sure it is available. I asked the same questions a month or so ago on this thread as well as google searching and didn't turn one up.

It would be nice to have at check in so you could see what your room view might be. Oh well.....

I have seen that map and can't really tell the where the rooms are from that one but thank you for sharing the link.

Yes, I was just wondering if there was a more detailed one provided at check-in ... but maybe that is the only guide they provide. Just wanted to know how many floors in the wings, how many in the "middle," which is best location for access to pool/food court/busses ... those kinds of things.

Thank you both for the quick responses.

Hey everyone! I just wanted to share my excitement that I will be arriving at the Swan in 2 days! :banana: This will be my first stay here and looking forward to the alcove suite and the quick walk over to Epcot (my favorite park).

;)

you will ADORE the location!!!! Have fun! :hippie:

I was just talking w/ my DH and I am using that D part loosely !! I have planned this trip for months and nwo he is asking questions !!

We are staying at the Dolphin, first time, July 16-23. I got a teacher rate of $199/night for a resort room view w/balcony. My DH loves sitting on the balcony drinking his java in the morning and the same w/ an adult beverage in the evening (me too). His question, what might we be seeing from our resort view room balcony ? Please let it not be that awfully scary view that :worship:the infamous Tara PA took a pic of !!!

:hippie: Thanks so very much !!

You will probably be facing the Swan --if you are on the west wing, it will be, possibly, the Yacht Club or Boardwalk.
A resort view will not put you on the back side!! :thumbsup2

Are there places around the S/D resort to watch epcot fireworks and do they pipe in the music (I actually dont even know if there is music to go with the epcot fireworks, my only experience is with Disneyland fireworks).

Are there rooms with fireworks view and again (if there is music) can you turn the TV to a certain channel for the accompaning music?
