OK Mad4Mickey, this is kind of a long story, but here's what happened to us last summer at a hotel in Louisville. (Lou-a-vul) Holly always travels with her own pillow, BB (blankie) and purple bear ...
Yup, something similar happened to me, too. I was working on a project in Tacoma - was travelling back and forth every week for a year and a half. Instead of checking in and out of a hotel every week I had an apartment - fully furnished and with weekly maid service. (The project manager set it all up before I even arrived.) Anyway, as my time on the project was winding down I started bringing my stuff home that had accumulated there. By my last weekend trip home, all I had left in the apartment was enough clothes for the week, toiletries and makeup, a few books, and a bit of food in the kitchen. But when I got there on Monday evening, after travelling and working all day, I noticed some of my stuff missing. Specifially an expensive pair of workout shoes, a bottle of perfume, and a weeks worth of Lean Cuisines out of the freezer. What the heck?

I called the management company to report that some of my possesions were missing and the only person that had been in the apartment since I'd left the Friday before was the maid. They assured me that it couldn't have been her because she had been with then for several years, but they'd question her anyway. Of course they came back and told me she denied taking anything. I insisted that it had to be one of their employees because no one else had the key to the apartment. Oh no, the maid in question is an honest person and has never done anything like that. One of my coworkers suggested I report the theft - which I wouldn't have thought of - and once I mentioned that to the management company (and they to her), she came clean. Lo and behold all my stuff reappeared in my apartment the next day - including the frozen meals, which I promptly threw out.

Just the mention of police seems to get the truth out of people that have something to hide.

dawgfan :grouphug:
I know what you are going through.
Prayers and Pixie Dust for your puppy.

Now I understand how it feels to come home after a day away from the TAGLIARCHY. I left this morning to go get my hair cut and didn't get home from errands and such until 8:30 (met ohanafamily at the mall for dinner) and had pages and pages to catch up on.

dawgfan, I'm so sorry to hear about your puppy. I hope he'll be okay. I'm not a dog person, but I certainly hate it when any get hurt or are abused (as seen way too often in the news.)

llebrekniT, sorry I'm not sure why the pics don't show up. A suggestion when that happens though. take the
img ] out and just leave the address for everyone to click on. That seems to work for opening another page to see the pic just fine.

dawgfan, Lots of Pixie Dust from me. I grew up with dogs and I remember one died the night before one of my all-or-nothing exams. I failed it,of course, but I was able to retake it a couple of days later and passed.

I was devastated, but I survived. It will be difficult, but you will too...Big Hug...

another story, a little racy so kids hide your eyes.
I was seeing this girl who had a big mutt. he was mostly great dane, but a mix. His name was Dude. He would get out and howl for a certain neighbors dog when she was, well, approachable and locked up. He got...his manhood removed on April second; I called her answering machine at 7:00AM "Dude, Dude, when she lets you out, run like heck...It WASN'T AN APRIL FOOLS JOKE!!!!!"

her only comment was...Oh yah, that was cute.
Needless to say, I am no longer with her...
(Ouch just thinking about it)

:bounce:

dawgfan I am so so sorry to hear about your baby.

RRBB where you been? Did you watch GH?
Just now finished watching Wednesday's GH. Interesting! Scotty not Zander huh?

Good morning everyone!

Hey ohanafamily and RRBB, got our proxy in the mail yesterday and I followed your link to find out how to vote no. Thanks for the info., I also have no clue how to vote on the other issues. Advice?

dawgfan, just reading your story made me hurt inside. I feel for you guys, it's so terrible when things like this happen. We have had a couple incidents with pets where they were injured and you really do worry just as much as you do with your own child when you love them that much. I hope they are able to help that poor baby. I've been through a similar, but different, incident with a puppy and we had to wait it out overnight and he did not make it. So sad. I'll be thinking good, positive thoughts for you guys. Lots and lots of pixie dust to you.

I have not seen this thread, but I have noticed it in your posts.::yes:: For instance when you were having trouble posting with "color" I noticed you spelling it "colour" and wondered if that was the problem. Before I could ask you, you had already figured it out. BTW, how is your mum? I wish I had the English accent, ever since the war in Iraq<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/1029.gif' border=0></a> I can't say <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/12/12_9_11.gif' border=0></a> "missul" like an American, I say "missile" with a long "I". I like saying it that way.;) Makes me feel so proper:goodvibes .

I've got some b-day shopping to do and Ella is having her 1 year old picture made tomorrow, only she turns 14 months old today! Guess that's just the way it is with the 3rd one. Anyway, she needs something cute to wear, so I may have to make run :moped: to LEX. and visit the Gap and Gymboree.<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_8_8.gif' border=0></a>

dawgfan So sorry to hear about your puppy:worried:......I'm sending armloads of pixie dust your way!!!

I sure hope there's some improvement today!

Cheeringmom Sorry, but I just can't agree with you about Benicio......he is mysterious but in a scary kind of way.......

.......but, and that's a big but, a friend dragged me to see the movie 21 GRAMS and I must say he was awesome in it! I'm not sure if he's up for the Oscar or not but he definitely deserves it!
:teeth: If you haven't seen this movie, it's very graphic and may be too upsetting to some people, but the acting alone makes it all worthwhile!

Forgot a couple things -

Lewski, Owen=cute, Tim=yuck!<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/10/10_1_106.gif' border=0></a>

RickinNYC, I knew those NY'ers were getting perks! If you could, just forward any unwanted tickes to llebrekniT@ i'llnevergettogo.com that would be great! Thanks buddy!

WHAT?!? I miss a day or two in the "year of the fire" and what happens?? The body was Scotty?? But....Kin has been on GH since, well...since I can remember. I mean, he had the Port Charles years, but Scotty has been a part of GH forever. Can you tell me what happened or will that spoil it for other folks?

Thanks!!
