The dog looks quite cute! Although I am scared of dogs! I once went to an education show in the same venue that Crufts was on (the huge dog show in England). It was my worst nightmare. There were dogs everywhere! I'm definately a cat person!!
So how is everyone doing this evening? I only have one more day left at work with the children in, then a teacher training day and then a week off!!!! I'm looking forward to next week. On SUnday I'm going for a day at a health spa with my mum. My uncle won it in a competition and like he said, why would he want to go to a health spa? So my mum and I are going instead. I'll let you know what we get up to.

I was sooo happy that the Newfoundland won Westminster last night. What a great dog! And the Ibiza Hound with the rabbit head was too cute!

I love dog shows; my parents had a Puli named Tarna who was eligible for Westminster in 1974 but my mom was too pregnant with my older brother so they didn't go. I always root for the Puli!

Hi all. I have had the worst day. You know my user name is dawgfan because I am a Ga. Bulldog fan and because I love dogs. It seems that there are many other dog lovers here as well. I have five dogs as my Jack Russell recently had puppies (the day my wife and I were headed to WDW for our anniversary. That is a story in itself). Well, this morning I let them all out to potty and one did not come back. Buster the only male puppy who is 8 months old was missing. Later that morning my wife got a call from a friend in the neighborhood advising that she had found Buster in the road after being hit by a car. He was alive but hurt badly. I rushed home and got him to the vet quick. He seemed to be doing well although pretty banged up. They took x-rays and determined that he had a broken foot that was pretty severe as well as a broken pelvice. There was significant damage to the leg and evidently it is bad enough to consider amputation. They have said that we may have the option to seek specialized care at an Ortho. specialist in Athens Ga. where they have excellent animal care hospitals (best in the state) but warn that this is expensive and possibly something that may not help that much. We will not know the full extent of injuries and what we may be looking at until tomorrow morning. We are torn up about this as our baby is in ICU at the vet and we are unable to see him and comfort him. We are worried sick. Had to let this out. Thanks.

The neighbor called right away and was crying when I got there. She is also a dog lover. We will see how he does. We are hoping for the best but I suppose I am preparing for the worst. My wife has been crying all day as she is very close to this particular pup.
