Lemme break it down. XD

Today is a winding road that's taking me to places that I didn't want to go
Edward didn't want to leave Bella, but at first, he tried to. He went to Alaska, stayed out of school.
Edward didn't...really want to leave Bella, he was attracted to her scent, but he left so he wouldn't kill her...he came back. Then he left in New Moon for a long time. But seperation was extremely hard. Edward never wanted to leave her, but he just wanted to keep her safe.
Random side note:The day is always a winding road for nomadic vampires. XD (Regular nomadic Vampires, not the Cullens) :]

Edward held on to Bella, even though both of them knew that he was a danger to her.

I didn't bold the lyrics that were already explained. Haha, I was listening to Thunder and I immediately thought of Forks, because it rains a lot. I thought...Thunder relates to Twilight a lot, so I looked at the lyrics and started to connect everything. XD

Rob is growing on me (besides the fact that I don't understand why he's always wearing sunglasses in the movie. Um...how is Bella supposed to look into those breathtaking Topaz/Butterscotch/Onyx eyes if he's wearing dark sunglasses?). Anything to bring Edward somewhat to life, haha. As much as I'd love Tom Sturridge (my real life Edward) to be cast, I'll be content just watching my favorite book being adapted to film.
