My excuse for not going into school today. I need to plan it out, or i'll sound like i'm lying...

My sister had a tonsillectomy the Friday before Half Term and Sunday night, her throat started bleeding so she had to go to the hospital. It happened around 12ish so I didn't get to bed until around 3:30am when they got back. I find if a close family member starts coughing up blood, you're too worried to really get to bed until you find out they're OK...
