So, I'm going to be a Junior this year, and the only thing I can think of is how I've never had a normal high school experience. God forbid Prom is this year, when I've never been on a date.

Hey dont worry about it. I'll be a senior this fall and I've never had a boyfriend, never been kissed, and never been a real date. What do you consider a normal high school experience? Because I probablly haven't had most of them too. High school is what you and your friends make of it, not what your supposed to make of it.

Mostly it's the fact I've only had one close friend for five years and I spend the weekends and breaks at home, and it takes it's toll on me mentally...

Don't stress over prom and create "Prama" rotfl2 A few of my friends and I are planning to go in group, with or without dates or 'dates'. I know a few of my friends have 'backups', guy friends who are going to ask them if neither of them have anyone to ask. Some of my other friends, me included, are going to go with our other girl friends as 'dates' if we dont have real dates. You know as a joke, take the classic date photo, get each other flowers, pay for each others dinner. We are going to have fun with it instead of make it stressful.

Friends will come and go, even close ones. I've been real close with this one girl for a while now and I love her to death. I can tell her anything, and she can do the same with me. But we have times when we wont talk for a week or wont see each for a bit. It's natural. I've lost more friends in the past three years than I have in the 14 years before that. High school is when we are really finding ourselves and changing. Along with that is going to come different friends at different times. Lately I've been spending a lot of time at home because I've drifted from a lot of my friends of school. Don't let it get to you. Stay positive about yourself.
