Yes, I have changed again, followed my heart back to Poly (FTW and 1st visit ever)..just so tired of changing my tickers! LOL

Yeah -- all carry-ons and it's a long trip, too. Hope we can actually do it -- you never really know until you start putting it all in the tiny suitcases! We use to travel overseas with only carry-ons (they could be bigger then), then we had our DD and traveled with tons of things. Now that she's older, we're trying new ways to pack lighter!

I just checked out the CR photos you mentioned above. Looks like it's really happening. Unfortunately, the "rumor" on the GF thread said that there would only be one at the Poly! I would feel weird being the only one in a cabana, plus, it would be too hard to book. I'm hoping that wont be the case, but I suspect that the info was correct.

Oh, what special memories you must have! I love watching weddings there from LVC when we book that.

Great combination...we've done the Polynesian followed by BCV quite a few times now. Love it!

I recall at GF when the cabanas were not equipped as they are now....and it was just first come, first serve
We enjoyed one on our departure day...so we had a great place to hang at the pool after check out

We are doing all carry-on's too - and yes, you can bring sunscreen, as long as it fits the 4oz rule, I have brought it onboard many times. HTH.

This is not our first LGVC trip - We stayed LGV Concierge back on Thanksgiving week in 2007. I love it there!!

My sis was just curious as to the offerings b/c she is a veggetairian - she was asking if they did cheese and crackers - i thought they did.. as most the others i have stayed at (BC/YC/ GF ) all offer cheese and crackers.

Do they still have the fresh pineapple slices with the caramel sauce?? I LOVED that!!! Goes good with that alcoholic punch they make!! LOL (Can't wait for that!)

BCV, I am so envious of you! I live in Chicago area and it stinks here. On top of it I am recovering from major surgery and oh how I wish I was sitting on the Poly beach recovering than looking out the gloomy windows here...

Thank goodness for Tiki's site, this board and my own personal pics so I can "escape" to Poly memories.

Oh yes! They did have the pineapple and carmel when we were there in Dec. That was a great combo. I also loved their punch! Good thing we only spent two days there or I would have drown myself in that stuff!

I'm almost positive the pineapple and caramel sauce was still offered in May but not every day. Crackers and cheeses are out every night.

We are staying in the Hawaii build. LVC. Can someone who has come back recently from staying concierge, please tell me what kind of foods have been put out lately? (Mostly looking for the 5pm stuff) Thanks!!

Have a great trip! I loved the evening offerings when we stayed LVC! The Chicken Lo Mein and the bbq pork were our favorites!

Went to Poly Club Level Jan 09, and now we are booking Dec 09, too!



They only thing we are wondering about is if bigger suites are worth it. We were a little cramped with our two kids under 3. I can't find much info on them. Anyone have any pics or experience with them? If I remember right, they are pretty pricey.

Also -- what is the Poly Decor like at Christmas?

I think a beach Brady party sounds swell! I have the Brady Bunch's greatest hits on CD somewhere.

I'm also curious about the suites. I'm planning on coming with my husband and kids and then my sister and her husband, so there will be a total of 7. I'd like to either get adjoining rooms or get a suite, depending on cost - it seems like it might cost less to get the suite than to get two rooms. .

We will be between 5 or 7 so im keeping the suite in mind.
The price is slightly more than 2 rooms i was going to get so I'd love to do it if I can find out how many it sleeps.

Great idea about the greatest hits cd. Im heading to amazon now to buy it. It would be great put the cd player on your balcony and then enjoy the beach!!

Fellow Polynesian fans, we're headed to WDW next week. We're not staying at the Polynesian at all this trip but will be having breakfast at Kona at least once. Does anyone want me to check on anything? I remember mmmears wondered about Neutrogena sun block.

Can you check out what is going on with the roofs being painted green. I love the new color and i wonder if its just for that one building i saw on another thread or will all the buildings be painted that way. and i wonder if its just the roofs or if the sides of the buildings will be painted too

We are vegan and we were pleasantly surprised at what we could eat at the Club Level. she should have no problems!

Captain Cooks also has vegetarian options, and I recommend talking with Chef TJ (Ohana & Captain Cook's chef) to make a special vegan or vegetarian meal for her at Ohana's. We did it (Jan 09) and it was fabulous! He is a great man to talk with, and a fantastic chef!
