Mstinkerbell..

thanks for the club level review. Can you tell me when was the beer available?(?from DH);) Was it in the evening 7-10? Did you have to ask for it? Oh and what type was available?

Thanks so much

I was wondering if the boat from the Poly to the MK was wheelchair accessible? ...She can transfer to a seat as long as we can get the wheelchair on the boat...

You should be ok... so long as the person is indeed able to transfer into and out of the boat, and the wheelchair can be folded during the ride & carried on/off of the launch by another member of your party.

If the wheelchair is too heavy for any of you to lift/carry (or the transfer proves too difficult)... then you could instead take either the resort monorail (from GCH), or the larger ferry boat (from TTC)--both of those options are very ECV/wheelchair friendly.

Beer was available during the early evening service (5pm - 7pm-ish). I did have to ask for it as the ice bucket with the beer is behind the table where the food it served. Sam Adams and Heineken were available for sure. I think Corona was also available. Some of the folks who frequent the CL for the beer stash may know more about the brands available.

Hope that helps! :thumbsup2

There is also Budweiser available as well. Not sure about any others.

Thank for the info. I was hoping it would be out later in the evening for him but either way he is fine.

When we stayed CL at GF in March DH and FIL commented on evening that it was too bad they didn't have the beer out anymore. A CL CM heard them and asked what they would like and he brought them out 2 each! My point, you maybe able to ask ;)

You can ask for beer anytime during the day. I've asked at 4ish and also at 9. The cm's are very nice about it!!

You could also go to the TTC and just wheel right onto the bigger boat that goes from the TTC to MK. We used that a lot and it was quite easy for me in my ECV.

Is the Capt. Cook's breakfast menu really as limited as what is shown on allears.net? For example, they show that the kids breakfast menu only has an option of scrambled eggs, bacon and grapes. I guess I thought there would be more breakfast choices for everyone. Maybe I am comparing it to WL and Roaring Forks. Last year we would get the Bounty platter- French toast, eggs, biscuit, sausage, potatoes etc. and split it between the three of us. I was hoping to do that this year as well. Anyone know?

Fellow DISers heading to the Poly this month look out for my buddy Tim who's a CPer working at the quick service location at the resort.

Only about a year til I stay at the Poly!!!

I don't remember exactly what they had, but i thought it was enough choices, as there is also pastry, fruits, cereals, etc.. as well as eggs, and such...

Just learned that "The Big Hawaiian Guy" is no longer entertaining nightly at the Tambu Lg. What a drag! I complained to the management and they suggested we all submit our thoughts on the matter to WDW dot guest communications dot disneyworld dot com. Budget cuts killed Kalao's contract renewal...we'll miss his talent and heart. He made the dinner evenings at the Poly very special...Aloha all!

Just got back to the Boards...Hoping to be at the Poly sometime in the next 2-3 months...just have to say, Brooklyn, your Signature is fantastic! :thumbsup2

Good to see you back!:goodvibes

Brooklyn, your signature is beautiful!

WOODY13, love your location!

I was wondering if the boat from the Poly to the MK was wheelchair accessible?

We will have someone with us who has some mobility issues and will be using a wheelchair (not all the time, but absolutely at the parks), but the boat from the Poly to MK looks a little small and I wasn't sure if they'd be able to accommodate her wheelchair or not. She can transfer to a seat as long as we can get the wheelchair on the boat so we'll have it when we exit.

If not, it's not a huge deal, since we can use the monorail to. Just wanted to know if the boat will be an option for us when we have the wheelchair.

Also, does anyone know how deep the main pool is (at the deepest point)?

Thanks!

BabyFu, the launch is rather small and there is quite a step down into it....maybe 12 inches. But if she can handle the step and the wheelchair folds, you should be OK. As others have said, the ferry at the TTC is a great alternative as is the monorail of course.

The menu on allears has never been complete for some reason. I don't know the details as we don't order it but there is some sort of platter. More importantly, you can order Tonga Toast there.;)

We have two rooms booked for this fall. I made the ressies a few weeks ago. Does anyone know when IPO will contact me?

I know I've seen a couple of folks come in either wondering where the food is or annoyed there wasn't food out. Granted this was in-between food service times or really late at night (past 10pm). I think it had more to do with how many people were on the concierge level at such a peak time. Now at 5pm when they start the evening service, the lounge was hopping! The food went f-a-s-t but the CMs there replaced everything in a timely manner. Again, just because of the sheer number of people the lounge got quite busy. In the evenings I just got mine and DD's selections and brought them back to our room--much more peaceful. :goodvibes

Thanks so much! We're having a fantastic time! It is going to be so hard to leave the Poly on Saturday....

Were there cookies or anything during the in between times along with the DIET COKES?

Yes, there are cookies, pretzels, goldfish crackers, popcorn, etc.. out at those in-b/w times.. along with drinks.

I can't see how those who get there after 10pm can complain, as it clearly states that it ends at 10 pm.. you know?
From what i have seen the CM's do a great job keeping up with the food. :)
But, man, i have seen some VULTURES there at 5pm, you would think some of these people have never eaten. and they can be rude!! I try to wait til 5:30-6:00 to go - much less crowded. Or i go at 5 and get my wine and sit down and watch the vulture show!!
