Thank you for the quick reply. I would have liked the Sentinel since it is local. Now I know I don't have to bring a light bulb with me like I do for some other hotels I stay at frequently.

So excited, haven't stayed concierge since 2003.:cool1: :cool1:

Had to change my check in date by 2 days but who cares. I'll survive.:lovestruc

MsStinkerbelle,

Thanks so much for the detailed review of the Poly CL -- and what a great upgrade that turned out to be!:cloud9: We're going during peak season, and I can understand what you mean about it being worth it then (especially when you have to wait in a huge line for a drink or a snack if you dont have the lounge).

Where are you staying at DL? We've stayed CL at the Grand Californian several times and it was nice. Let me know if I can give you any info about DL.:)

According to the Unofficial Guide Monday is less crowded than Sunday :goodvibes you can check this out here: http://www.touringplans.com/tp2/UG2_index.php?PageID=14

You just need to scroll down a bit until you get a table with the parks and the days of the week. Of course this will always also depend on EMH schedule etc. I would suggest to get a subscription for their website to really see which parks are best. Tour Guide Mike also has great info on which park on which day!! I have used both and they have been extremely helpful

Thanks for the info! I will check back for the fall info.

Does anyone know--or have an opinion about--the fastest and/or easiest and/or most efficient way to get from the Poly to the FLying Fish for an evening ADR?

You could also take the monorail to the MK and hop on a bus to the Boardwalk Inn/Epcot Area Resorts.

It's coming down to the wire now and of course I have yet another question for all of you Poly veterans and experts :flower3:

We are doing a trail ride and HDDR next Wednesday. I plan on taking the monorail to MK and then taking the boat to FW. How much travel time do you think that will take? I figure 45 mins. Any thoughts? TIA

Oh, and I'm going to be calling the Poly later today and give them our room requests  DH wants the Tahiti longhouse, 3rd floor :lovestruc But we have back-up options if that can't happen.
DS is complaining of a little sore throat this morning  Better to be sick at home before we go then sick there.

You could also take the monorail from the TTC to Epcot and walk to the Boardwalk. Or you might be able to take a bus to the Boardwalk from the TTC, but I am not sure if there are buses that go to the resorts from the TTC. Good luck

OK, I know this info is in this thread somewhere, but I've sorted thru 60 pages and haven't had any luck finding it!:headache: :badpc:

We check in Jan 21. I booked my trip thru AAA, they were "supposed" to request interior connecting rooms, and a specific longhouse. My travel agent was an idiot, on a good day. :rolleyes1 So, I want to know if I can make this request myself, and if so, who do I e-mail this request to?

Thanks so much! :goodvibes

You can try, but most likely they will not "speak" directly to you. One drawback to using a travel agent is that you "lose" control of your reservation.::sad1:

Hi Everyone!
I'm off to Disney in only 3 days and I am staying at the Poly for the first time. We requested Tahiti 3rd floor as well, (I think someone a few posts up requested the same thing) I'm hoping it is quiet and that we get a balcony...thats all I really care about. I can't wait to report back on my experience. I really can't believe I'm staying there. It's been a dream of mine since I was a little girl so this should be very magical!
I just wanted to say how grateful I am for this thread and......

:yay:
That was me! We want Tahiti with a balcony for peace and quiet too! We are going to be there in 3 days also  Maybe we will bump into each other in the hallway! Better still, maybe not, maybe one of us will get some pixie dust and get upgraded! :woohoo: Have a wonderful trip!!

Can anyone tell me if there is a hot tub at the polynesian? THANKS!

No hot tub...

But at the end of the volcano pool closest to the GCH, there is in pool seating with the most wonderful, massaging water jets. Very relaxing after a day in the parks. :goodvibes

Also, we are traveling with our moms who have limited mobility. We are going to request to be near the main building but do we have to be on the 1st floor or are there are elevators for the other floors? And are the elevators conveinant?

Thanks again, everyone on this board is so helpful! :yay:
