Anyone have a picture of a recent resort refillable mug from the Polynesian?

Two weeks from this moment our plane leaves Milwaukee and a few hours later we'll be at the Poly...I can't wait!!!!!

Wow, your trip is coming up fast:) I didn't realize it was coming up so soon. The anticipation is so much fun isn't it?

Do you know, can the 40% be applied to packages with dining?
Thanks,

Not sure what the current offer is, but we had a 40% code in September, which we used for our stay at the Poly, and it could NOT be combined with Free Dining. The choices were 40% code OR rack rate with free dining. Using the code and paying OOP for food was a no brainer for us.

Hi All!
Thanks so much for this thread! I have gotten so much great Poly info here! We will be staying there for the first time in 23 days!!! I was wondering if someone could tell me if there is internet access in the rooms at the Poly and also if there are DVD players. We have booked a standard GV room. Sorry if this question has been covered before. Thanks in advance! -Kelly

Hi Kelly,

Yes, there is high speed internet access for $9.95/day (as of September when I was there). Unfortunately, there is no DVD player in the standard rooms.

HTH!

Thanks,

Depends on the pin, but you should be able to book a package with a 40% pin. The 40% is only applied to the room, and the tickets and dining are regular price. I did this in September:goodvibes

Hey! We'll be there at the same time! Leaving on Nov. 20th - 27th. Garden View, 2 rooms, 6 people, deluxe dining. Can - not - wait. Our first time at the Poly also.

Upstate NY also. Leaving from Syracuse. Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

I love love love the music that comes up with the Poly on the WDW resort website so I pull it up at least once a day just to hear it and relax, today DH and youngest DS started humming it...

My daughter and I are leaving from Syracuse too! We're meeting my mom and sister at MCO. Mom leaving from Maine and my sister from Washington DC. We have a 7AM flight from Syracuse! Yikes! We're gonna be up early since we've got an 1 hr+ drive to Syracuse! The flight is direct, though, otherwise we wouldn't be leaving from there. Having a nonstop flight is so much easier with a toddler! Did you make any room requests? Have a great trip!! I can't believe it's only a few weeks away! :wizard: -Kelly

Hi everyone! We just returned from our land & Sea vacation and had 4 wonderful nights at the Poly. Hopefully I should be able to post some pics in the next couple of days.

Does anyone have any questions that I might be able to answer?

We got back Friday night from a 6-night stay at the Poly. This was our 9th stay at the Poly and it was wonderful as usual! We were in Fiji #3313 (facing the marina and volcano pool). I'll post pictures once I get them all uploaded.

This was our first stay since Captain Cook's was re-done. I don't think the set-up flows very well. I think I see how Disney intended the traffic flow to work but people don't really follow it so it gets's crowded and crazy in there. And the food prep service was SO slow. Lots of people were complaining about how long it was taking. We once waited 20 minutes for 2 burgers and a flatbread pizza.

And I think the Poly is using the new arcade as a meat locker too. It was SO cold in there! Brrrrr!

Boy, am I complaining alot or what? :rotfl: But, it really was a great stay and we will definitely return again.

Oh, and last Friday (Oct 24) was the Poly's 37th b-day so it was neat to be there for that.

Looking forward to the 10th stay .....

Which is better Ohana or Kona Cafe?

Am I looking for a more laid back dining experience or is a more raucous atmosphere my desire. Is it breakfast or dinner? I would choose Kona over 'Ohana for breakfast. Dinner would depend on what I was seeking--a more true "dining" style with multiple entree choices or a more active atmosphere with a set entree fare.

We've found both restaurants good, but prefer Kona for breakfast. If you give more information on what you are seeking, I'd be happy to refine my opinion. :)

Yes, I'd pick Kona for breakfast too. Actually, I would for dinner too and lunch is great as well.

But if you want characters, then 'Ohana's breakfast is fine. And if you're looking for quantity of food over quality, 'Ohana dinner is all you can eat. The food at Kona is much better IMO.

Yes, the anticipation is fun, but being there is so much better!! ;)

My DD10 is in an absolute PANIC because I haven't started packing yet. She hounded me about it again this morning and started rattling off everything we have going on in the next 12 days, and how will we possibly find time to pack? I'm trying a new approach this year - not packing weeks in advance in hopes of not overpacking everything under the sun (that we'll never need).

Hello again. Leaving on Nov. 20th via Jet Blue, 7am non stop flight to MCO. Renting car @MCO also. Bringing the parents, hubby, and 2 Daughters (9 & 10). We have a 30 min. drive to Syracuse. It's going to be an early morning. I'm sure we're all going to be tired; we have the Hoop Dee Doo at 5pm the same day.

No room requests. But we do have to have a handicap room. Mother has to have a scooter. She has arthritis issues and can't step up into the shower. So, we're letting fate have it's way...

Have you got any paper work yet? I haven't and I'm getting nervous..

So...if you see 6 people, one with a scooter, walking around the Poly at the same time, that would be me!
