Does anyone know if you can use the snack credits from the DDP to buy "real" coffee and muffins from the coffee bar?

Yes, yes you can! :thumbsup2

Hello I am new to the thread. I have booked a club level stay at the Poly for 5 nights.

Welcome aboard the Ship of Polynesian Resort Love! :goodvibes You are going to love club level!

I've never stayed at the Poly, but now I really want to!!!

What a wonderful dream! :cloud9: I think your subconsious mind is telling you to start planning a stay at the Poly. :thumbsup2

Hello,

I have never stayed at the Poly but have a garden view booked for next month. I would really enjoy having a balcony but not sure many have this option? What should I request for the most likely to receive that? I know it would only be a request and not a guarantee. Or is there a better place to request even if it doesn't have a balcony? It's just me so no kids, etc.

Thanks! :goodvibes

re: snacks? Can I get a Dole Whip as a snack from Captin Cooks? :flower3:

31 more days - me and my dd are getting soooooooooo excited!! :dance3:

Actually most rooms do have either balconies or patios. If that is the most important thing to you, I would just request a balcony.

The three newer buildings have balconies on the second and third floor rooms. The original longhouses only have balconies off third floor rooms. But since the newer longhouses are large and comprise nearly 40% of the rooms at the Polynesian, many rooms do have balconies.

I didn't notice in January...well, actually didn't even set foot in CCs:goodvibes ... but I know last year the Dole Whip machines had the little DDP icon denoting a snack option.

You are so close now!:cool1:

Do you mean the coffee cart in the upstairs lobby of the GCH? We were told last September that we could not use snack credits. If we can in June, then I am so all over the cheese danish and yummy coffee!

Yes, this is exactly the one I mean. I've seen others use their snack credits there without any problems.

The cheese danish and the Kona coffee is to die for! :cloud9:

Does anyone know if they serve the Lilikoi juice (passion fruit, orange & Guava) at Capt. Cooks or is it only at Kona Cafe? We loved that juice!!!

Has anyone taken photos of the shops at the Poly that show what sunscreen & aloe products they have?

I'm trying to pack just carry-ons, but we'll need a bunch of sunscreen for our trip!

We're going back to the Polynesian!:cool1:

Nope, we can't afford it. But thanks to the 4/3 deal and a miserable year, we're going back anyway!!!

I requested a Tokelau balcony room-- we LOVED our room last year!!

I am SO excited!!!!!

I don't think so - but I will look. Maybe I have some photos that have that in the background??

mmmears, I'm not staying at the Polynesian next trip but we'll be having breakfast there at least once so I'll try to remember to look too....of course I have an old memory!:rotfl:

You wanted a high SPF Neutrogena product?

johnsonet, you're getting close!:cool1:

Just a quick Poly question :O).

For those of you with smaller children and/or strollers, do you always stay on the ground level? Is it a pain to have to go up and down the elevator?

That being said, if you don't mind the frequent elevator ride, do you PREFER a patio/ground level room or a room with a balcony (and then, second or third floor?).

:O)

We just returned from the Poly, and did not find the elevators to be a factor at all. They were always available, and very quick.
We stayed 3rd floor Tokelau Garden View, but did have a wonderful castle view if you looked out sideways from the balcony, and a beautiful pool view straight ahead.

We did bring our own stroller, and it was so convenient being able to just roll our DD out of the parks and onto the monorail without having to wake her up until we returned to the room.

Enjoy your stay!

Hi all Poly lovers! We have stayed at the poly 4 times now and will be heading back :woohoo: Aug.9th - 16th thanks to 4-3 deal!!:dance3:
Everytime I have started planning a new trip I always start off looking at other resorts but just can't bring myself to do it! The best part about this trip is we are trying club level for the first time!!! I can't wait.
The trip is a surprise for the kids and we will be celebrating our anniversary the day we arrive!
Happy planning to all!

Question, The poly pool is NOT currently closed is it?

PS -- I cant figure out how to multiquote!

It took me a long time to figure that out! Just hit the " icon near the bottom right after each post you want to quote. The " will change to red so you know you've quoted it. After the last one, hit reply or the regular Quote button works too I think. HTH.:goodvibes
