They are a decent size. The white one in the post earlier is not the standard fridge they use. Those are the ones with the mini-freezer for folks who need that for medical needs. It's quite a bit smaller.

My el cheapo hubby goes to DTD and walks across the street to the Hess Shop to purchase his beer for our duration. Actually you save alot of money doing this. You will have enough room in the fridge then, I am so happy.

The Hess at the Car Car Center is almost walking distance from the Poly :rotfl:

First time in just over 2 weeks now!

Just wondering, are the drinks in the lounge and the pool bar crazy expensive?

Yep! I think the average price I paid for a frozen drink at the pool bar was around $9, and they weren't big by any means, but the kind in a plastic cup. Over the course of a trip, that really can add up!

Thanks! Last year I paid $16 for TWO AA batteries, that was more than crazy. Would it be worth taking a taxi over there or are the prices the same as the shops in the Poly? Or is gardengrocer a better option?
You're welcome and I am not sure about taking a taxi or the difference in cost, so hopefully someone else will be able to answer that for you.

We have a lagoon room view booked and I've read some conflicting opinions as to if it's worth upgrading to concierge or not?
I kind of like the idea of the cereals in the morning for the kids, the DVD player in the room and snacks throughout the day.
So my question to anyone who's been recently, do you think it would be worth it?
Thanks,

While it's not likely you'll eat enough to make up for the price difference, it's nice to have them available and not have to think about it.

I'm also a big fan of the pre-planning. I hate calling DRC to make reservations.

Okay I am missing something- where is it at??

You drive right past it (right hand side of the road) as you travel to DHS, AK, or BB. It really is not very far from the Polynesian (just south of the parking lots).

Here's some info I found for you. I stopped there for gas once and they have just about everything you need and the prices are reasonable for where it's located at.

The Hess gas station on World Drive near the Magic Kingdom is the main station on the Walt Disney World Property. At its location is the AAA Car Care Center which officers towing and car repair. Surprisingly, the station usually has the lowest gas prices in the area.

Hi all!
I'm gearing up for our first trip to WDW and of course to the Poly-31 Days now!!!! I am beyond excited and LOVE this thread-You are all such warm, helpful and fun people-Thanks for all the info!

My question this time is about a good time for the Poly Photo shoot. I checked and saw that sunset is between 7:15 and 7:30 while we are there (9/15-9/25). We have a 1 1/2 year old and a 3 1/2 year old and earlier in the day may be good for them, but I don't want to have to "fight the sun" and have them (and us) squinting. Does anyone have feedback on what time(s) might work best for us? What are the times they offer?

Thanks in advance!

Seaspray, I was looking at your beyond awesome pictures, and in one picture of checking in at the lounge, beside the juice....was those park maps or just Disney brochers????....looked like park maps.

As far as upgrading to "concierge" club level. I agonized years ago about the same thing. My daughters convinced me that since we were a group of 9 in 3 separate rooms the club lounge would be a good place to be able to get together every morning. I was not impressed by the cost vs the lounge offerings (snacks). But, being the only male member of a group of 9, my vote didn't seem to count for much. To make a long story short, the so-called (by me) "snack offerings" were amazing! And with all that was available, I honestly didn't require any more than 1 good served meal daily. And I do love to eat. I was never wanting for food. Add to that the ambiance of the lounge , the magnificient view, and the amazing CMs working there, it was the best extra money I've ever spent. Since then, I don't even consider staying at the Poly unless I can do club level. OK OK, I admit that I would love any room at the Poly. But the club level definitely spoiled me. It was well worth the extra $$ for me.

Just booked the Poly Magic Kingdom View for our early May trip. We Disneymooned at the Poly 14 years ago, and my kiddos really wanted to try it. They love how the Volcano pool looks. We are very excited!

Which bldgs have Handicap Accessible rooms for MK view? Does Tahiti?
