My sister and I went to MK on January 30, 2015. Splash Mountain was one of the things she really wanted to go on, but it was in it's very last days of refurb and wasn't supposed to open until (I believe) two days later, on July 1st. As we went around the park, we spotted CM's going on test runs (this is what you're seeing). All the other 'logs' were empty. Later that evening, we just happened to be back in that area when I heard the unmistakable sound of the logs going down the big drop accompanied by screams. We quickly ran over to find that they had opened Splash Mountain early, it was 8 pm when they opened it. We walked straight through with no wait and had an evening ride!! It was an awesome surprise!!
