Hey all
Can anyone tell me about the daily offerings in the concierge at WL. Especially the "dinner" time offerings. At the poly it filled us up! Thinking about switching over to Wl honeymoon "suite". Thankx for the 411.::MinnieMo

Hope this helps a bit,
I don't remember exactly where I previously posted this in the past so I have to go on memory now.....I will do my best
Breakfast:
juices
milk
coffee/tea
cereals
croissants
bagels
fruit
danish
muffins
During the afternoon hours they typically had:
cookies (the sugar cookies are great)
mixed nuts
gummies
whole fruit
iced tea
lemonade
coffee/tea
In the evening:
a soup
a hot dish (stew, or spring rolls, or???)
bread with a really yummy spread
crudites
cheeses and fruit tray
crustless PB&J sandwiches (absolutely delicious)
soda, wines, coffee/tea
Late evening:
a dessert (usually a cobbler or pie)
assorted cookies, brownies
wine/cordials/coffee/tea/hot cocoa

There are a few things I'm sure I've forgot, but I think that gives you the idea.....it was all really yummy.

Ok, Friday looks pretty good but I can't do 5 to 7. Would have to be more like 3 to 5???

Saturday we have plans in the evening so I would have to say more like 2 to 4? Sorry to make it harder.

Sunday we are leaving for the airport at 4pm so I could also do something that day? We only want to have enough time to have a early dinner before we leave. Outside of that, no problem.

Can these hours work?

Fred

The only reason I didn't choose earlier hours Friday is I have to wait on my neice to get out of school, not sure of exact time I'll be arriving...

But Saturday @ 2:00pm-4:00pm sounds Great it will even give dizneykid, and DisneyDmbNut-Betsy time to drive over/up to WDW to meet if they can. So lets make it for then...........If this is good for you?

Then you can have your dinner and not feel rushed Sunday. I know how it is on the last day.

I just spoke with my DH and he said that Saturday is just fine with him. We could drive over and meet you all. Let us know when plans are finalized. Hope to see you all soon. :D

On our last visit to WL, we needed a crib...so we requested a Queen/bunks. That gave us more walking space. Even with 2 queens, you will be okay though!!

Thanks so much for the info.! Is there a spot in the room where the crib would fit nicely without having to do gymnastics to get around it? :teeth: If so, where? THANKS!

They usually set up the crib next to the TV. There is a little indent that fits the crib perfectly. You will not have to worry about walking into it. Also, if you have requested the crib in advance, they set it up for you and include Mickey sheets and blanket!

ironz,

I just wanted to wish you good luck in St. Croix!!!:wave2:

Have a great trip.

MagicInMyHeart,

I'm not sure what day would work for us. Sat, May 22 we are doing the Family Magic Tour at MK followed by lunch. I don't know if we will be back at the Lodge at 2pm but we can try.

Sunday is up in the air. We will be at FW a majority of the time but will be back and forth between the Lodge for rest and snacks.

Just keep me posted on a time.

:sunny:

Arriving at WL on a Sunday afternoon.........after touring the Lodge and getting settled in and maybe going for a swim, which restaurant would be a better choice for a first time WL meal (dinner).....WCC or AP? It will be a family of four with kids aged 11 and 13. Thanks!:wave2:

Speech guy.......although I loved my meal at AP, DH wasn't too thrilled as he's not a big meat eater and the only fish is Salmon-which I love and he dislikes-he's a Tuna Man. AP is very pricey and you really need to make a ressie.

Your kids probably would like all the commotion of Whispering Canyon-it's all smoked meats there. We absolutely love the cheeseburgers at the "quick" eating place-Roaring Forks.
:D

I agree with ScarlettO. We also love the cheeseburgers at RF. They are very good. They toast the bun before they make the burger and it just makes them delicious.

I would probably go for WC on the first night. It should put you in the mood for a good trip. :D

A space for the crib-

Just wanted to let you know during our last visit they set the portable crib up in the space between the TV cabinet and the wall (right in front of the door you would use if you had rooms that connected.
It was a great space for it because it wasnt it the way.
One nice thing too about the WL is because the beds are high up, there is plenty of room under them to out your suitcases and stuff.

I was just on Disneyworld.com looking at vacation quotes and the WL had one with a *lodge view* what's that? The only other option available was standard, I was trying to book courtyard.

TIA!

The lodge view would be the Woods View...If you would like a Courtyard View I would call Disney Reservations. The web site wouldn't let me select other options for room types either.

ok..even a Vet needs help...

I need a bunkbed room that faces the inside pool...are there such animals??

DisneyDmbNut

Hi Betsy,

Room 6127 or 6047 would fill the bill, both are non-smoking with one queen and bunk beds. * note Room 6047 may have a view of the EWP, from balcony.

Beckie

Opps, found more 4113, 4145, 4165, 5061, 5117, 5149, & 6121.

Thanks Beckie!!

I have never thought of getting bunkbeds with Kate in the past, but since we are taking DSS, this would be PERFECT!
