Yup. Sorry. :) Well to be specific, yes if you want to be on the 7th floor.

You want North Wing woods view for sure. As high up as you can get to get away from the trees that can/do block the view.

Best floor for fireworks?

So 7th is concierge, 6th is smoking....that leaves 5th as the highest for MK viewing, North wing-correct?

If you are not staying on the concierge floor then I would request it in advance. If not, remember, this is Disney. If they don't have something you want in the hotel, I am sure they will get it from another hotel.

Worrying about the fridge and coffee maker is something I wouldn't do.

One other thing you can do is get a $2 styrofoam cooler at the local walmart and use the ice machines to fill it daily. Saves you $10 a night for the fridge. :)

I have already requested a lot on my reservation. I would hate to request more and be that "annoying" guest and not get any of my requests. Should I wait until I arrive to request a frig and coffee pot? Do they typically run out of these?

By the way the information in this thread is FANTASTIC....

Thanks.... Coffee pot is for my mom and I really need the frig for my baby's formula... So that being said I might call and request at least the frig.

Concierge is sold out during our stay.... Is there a possibility something might open up if I keep trying? The problem is I need two rooms... I would love to upgrade to concierge and surprise my family..

I'm just curious what kind of offering are available at concierge for "snack foods" in the afternoon and "appetizers" in late afternoon..... Breakfast I already know.

Thanks

Call every day in the morning and check for availability. My experience is that something always opens up. Again, per a CM friend of mine, the key is calling in the AM.

As of late, it has been getting harder and harder to book concierge at WL. They have been getting lots of attention.

Good luck!

I know there was a post that Corky made on one of the older threads about this. She may be the better person to answer this.

Do you know anything about the wishes cruise? Does the WL offer cruises? I think I read it somewhere that they did. If so how much is it? and how long is the ride? Plus who would I call to ask about reserving this?

One more question... Has anyone ever used one of their cribs? Is it a real crib or pack n play? If so, are they clean? and in good shape? or should I just plan on bringing my own?

:wave2: Luv2trav - welcome to WL Faq thread!

The cribs used at WL are pack n play's. They are clean and in great shape. Just about every trip I've made I've used it.

The cruise you can inquire and book by calling (407) WDW-PLAY

I mistakenly posted this to the general resort board..OOPS! I meant to post it here....
DH and I had a wonderful first stay at WL conciegre this past September. One of our favorite things was the bed!! It was pure comfort, we have never slept so soundly! We are now in the process of purchasing a new master bedroom, complete with much needed matress/boxspring. Does anyone know what type of mattresses they have on the conciegre floor??? We would love to get the same set if at all possible. I sent an email to the conciegre staff, but I know how busy they are up there and am doubtful I will hear back from them. if any of you WL Vets have any idea, please let me know!

Thanks!

Luv2trav- we used their play n packs during our last stay and it was in good condition.
I brought a crib comforter from home though to add a little more padding for my son. I know the play n packs can be kind of hard on the bottom.

As for the quesiton on coffee makers/refrigerators, everytime I have stayed at WL there has been a coffee maker in the room. I believe each room has their own. Plus it came with coffee/filters (one regular and one decaf).
When we checked in we just asked that a refrigerator be brought up to the room. There was not problem getting it on the spot. There is a charge (I believe $10 a day) for one.

Have fun!

I am looking forward to my first visit to Wilderness Lodge for Memorial Day weekend. I got a great AP rate of $145 per night with a woods view.

On Friday night I will have my first dining experience at Artist Point, yummmmm.

Then later that night I booked a WISHES cruise. It will depart right from the Lodge dock at 9:30 p.m. and the "show" is at 10:00 p.m. The cost was $120 and I can have up to 12 people on the pontoon boat (although at the moment it's just my husband and myself). I called 1-407-WDW-PLAY and this could be done 90 days in advance.

I'm so excited!!!

Brenda

Some people are saying that "we researved Room#:xxxx". Well, when I called WDW, 2/3 agents told me we can not assing room# till we get there. We have party of 15 trip going on October and my paretns-in-law insits they want their room to be together and guranteed.... what should I do???? Please help!

...requests are just THAT - REQUESTS! They will never preassign a room number to a guest, let alone 2 or 3 rooms. You could politely explain your situation that you "elderly" parents will be visiting the WL with you, and you would like connecting rooms (adjoining rooms are next to each other, but do not have a common door between them!) I'm sure that they will try their best to accomodate you. Remember, the EARLIER you check in, the better chances you have for getting your request met. Good luck!

Since you've all been so helpful around here- I need a little advice that's kinda off WL topic!

Have any of you ever taken your own stroller to Disney on a plane, and did you use an umbrella stroller, or the larger travel system type of stroller?
I'm a little concerned gate checking our nice stroller, but on the other hand, DD would be so much more comfortable. She's pretty tall for her age, and her feet nearly touch the ground with an umbrella stroller!

Any advice would be helpful!
Thanks!

I used to bring DD's stroller (full-size) with us. Sometimes we checked it, and other times we brought in right on with us (we used the closet area to place it during the flight). It has been quite a while since we have used one, and after 911, I'm clueless as to the "checking" process for such an item. I'm sure someone else here would be able to assist you. ::yes::

BambyTambi~Hope you are keeping the YS for your upcoming plans/visit! It will be my desired choice for our next stay at WL. Fred, have you ever stayed in this suite?

My prayers and thoughts are with you, Roy. :goodvibes:

We gate check our stroller all the time! It's very easy. They'll give you a tag just before you board. You leave it at the door to the plane, and pick it up at the plane door in your new airport!

I stayed in the Yosemite Suite but have toured all of the suites on the 7th floor. They are both nice. As has been said before, the Yosemite seems to be more themed and the Yellowstone is fancier. I really like the bedroom in the Yellowstone though.

Thank you for the advise, Kimmer.... BTW, we would like our parents to have delux room and the rest of us will stay standard room. Is there paticuler section of WL that people recommend?
Is there any delux room in 5th floor up on Northwing and woods view?
