QOTD- As soon as we pull out of the driveway I feel like I am on vacation, but it's when we go under the archway hat I feel like I am officially in Disney!

16 days...

Hope everyone had a good Halloween. We had snow and sleet but the kids still had fun, we had about half as many kids as normal, 119 total, so loads of leftover candy. I am going to put a bunch away now for the kids' stockings.

I'm sorta packed. We're leaving on Friday afternoon, so I'll have time to pick up a few last-minute things then. (Note to self: new white socks.)

No dinner reservations for us, we're going just for a long weekend and will graze around the Food and Wine Festival, or eat counter-service meals.

It's an adults-only trip!

QOTD - The smell of the loby at the Yacht Club is how I know I'm officially on vacation at Disney! I wish I could buy an air freshener that smells like that!

27 days!! I woke DD up with we're going to Disney this month also, she kinda opened her eyes and said only 11 days till my birthday then we can go to Disney!

To me, my trip doesn't officially start until I hug Mickey mouse!

As soon as we land in Orlando! Although, it's like vacation starts the night before!

It's Monday. I leave on Friday. I am not packed, I still have things I need to get, I do not have all our ADRs, nothing is ready....... I don't know how I'm going to do this.

We leave Friday too. I am getting a little stressed myself. Today is the day to get most of it done because Tues and Wed are jammed packed. Thurs I only work a half day so I can finish up then! Trying to get to bed at a decent hour Thursday night knowing we have to be up before 4AM is going to be HARD!

Driving through the main entrance of the Disney property. Once I am through those gates, I know I won't be back in the outside world until I am headed home!

I do have the ADRs done that we need, but other than that I am right there with you! For so long this trip seemed like it would never get here and now it is right around the corner!

And of course hubby tells me a few mins ago that he thinks he is getting sick and that Josh is stuffed up too. I told him he better get busy taking some meds and vitamins, because I am going to WDW with or without him Of course putting up a tent on my own would be quite interesting but I am sure I can figure it out!

Once I am on Magical Express heading to my hotel

And today I'm officially in the SINGLE digits!

The trip is so close I'm kind of at a loss of my next move. Yes I need to pack (was suppose to do it over the weekend but then realized I had too much not ready, like laundry and looking at the weather to pack correctly), get a hair cut, make arrangements for my hamster to be taken care of, another ADR since we're leaving later in the day our last but no clue where to start!

Well, we are 12 days out!!! I can't wait!! But, again, I feel so unready this time! I think it's because of the time of year...we have been going in Dec and Jan the last few trips,so I wasn't so crammed with the kids school...but..it'll get taken care of!! This week is a lot slower for me than the last 3-4, so that's great! I just need to get up and get with it...but, LIFE keeps on happening!! LOL...

Vllygrrl! I am sooo sorry about your grandma! I know how hard it is....be glad that she got to see your little boy...my granny never even got to meet my husband...or see any of her grandkids children....Hope he is better about it today, I will be praying for you and your family!

I feel like vacation starts for me when we get outta town and make it to the airport!! I am a lover of flying, so that's a big deal for us...once we are ready to take off on that runway I finally start to relax! Months of planning and organizing-then TADA!!!! You are actually doing it!! We have to leave so early this time I may not even stay awake for take-off!

I've been watching the weather. Right now it shows 69 the first day in the parks. A few days ago that day said 73. I guess I'll look the day before we leave and plan for that. LOL

I may pack another pair of capris though. I'm really hoping for upper 70's and low 80's. So far that's what it's showing.

we leave in 18 days too, and I am in the same boat. WE have had so much going on I feel like I am so far behind!! My ADR's are missing too. I have called twice and they are all there, but there has been at least one report on the missing ADR thread of being told they are ok, and then getting to WDW and no one bieng able to find them! At this point I feel like I have done everything I can do and I am not gonig to stress about it!
I am more nervous aobut this trip too. I just feel less prepared, and I don't know why. I have done all the same things I do every year to get ready. Oh well, I am just staying focused on the fact that 2 weeks from Friday we will be on our way to 8 days of Disney!!

And only 3 more days until I can check-in online!

I really don't know what to do now...after all the months of planning and shopping and getting ready, I have NOTHING to do. We're all set with kenneling our dog and his shots were updated at the vet 2 weeks ago, we closed up the beach house this weekend for the season, reserved and pre-paid for airport parking, I've packed whatever I could except for clothing, DH and I have both had our haircuts. Ta da.


Wednesday is Grandparents Day at DGD10's school, so I'll be spending the morning in her classroom and then keeping her with me for the rest of the day as well as all day Thursday. They have half-days all this week, it's "Jersey Week", and then school is closed completely on Thursday and Friday. She and I are going to work on our mousekeeping tip envelopes sometime this week, too.

QOTD: Disney begins for me as soon as the plane takes off on its way to MCO.
