We were disapointed in the menu as well. And the prices are HIGH! The only thing I was all that interested in was the three tacos, it was more affordable but hoping they add more before then. We will be eating at Don paablos earlier in the week, not taht it is authentic I know but we love it so much there, It was the one restaurant we could afford and we all agreed on but ours closed about 3 years ago. We went to the one in Orlando on our last trip and have it already planned again this trip, so if it sounds somewhat promising I think I will make it just DH and I and let the kids go off iwth the grandparents (who don't like Mexican much anyway) and let us see for ourselves, but it may just be for appitizers with those crazy prices. We will see when the DISers start reviewing it.

Good Morning All

Well I cancelled the ADR I made yesterday for La Hacienda, maybe next trip. I forgot that was the night I made the late ADR for Via Napoli and planned on just grazing the F&W between lunch and dinner.

Stepping away from the computer as someone suggested yesterday , no not really but other than checking for an earlier ADR at CP I am not making no more changes

Just a little bummed that the Army wasn't nice enough to allow DH's R&R to coincide with F&WF- we will miss it by 1 day...

Just found part 2..Nice new thread. Just sent in the remaining balance,kinda bittersweet. Hate parting with the money but at least I know its paid for now. Debating on if we should do the christmas party or not,decisions decisions

I was very nervous making our final payment... then when I wrote out the check to cover my part, I was a little sad too. But it just means this epic trip (well epic in my mind ) is getting closer!

We did opt for the party as well - from what I've read on the boards if you've not done it before you should go... It's also one of the few times in my life I will allow Christmas to be celebrated before my birthday and super excited about it! Me and roommate are even making shirts for the occasion!

I too did a final payment this morning!! I also called to turn in my flight info(which I had forgotten to do)...so we are set!!!! I just have to wait a few weeks for my Mickey Mail to get here!!!!!! Very exciting....I am going to order those packing cubes/envelopes too---I need to go ahead and do that so I can make sure how many I will use!Any of y'all had experience with the envelopes? I am not sure if dh will need 2 or 3....I am telling u--he packs a ton of clothing!!!!!! But, I am hoping it's gonna mostly be shorts and not a need for lots of cool weather clothing! Won't know till closer I guess!

RnR trips are so hard to plan! We did one for Christmas/New Years in 04/05. DH got stuck in both Baghdad and Kuwait and took him 3 extra days to get home. Luckily we were booked from Dec 26-Jan 2. I just called SOG and told them we wouldn't be there until the 28th.

Not to change the subject, but any other Survivor fans out there? Starts tonight and of course we have open house (I'll DVR it but hope to get home early enough to watch tonight). My boys really love it and it's a fun family night in front of the TV. I think they are changing it to Wed. though.

Does everyone have their plans pretty much set now? I know we have done the "plan" thing before. But not everyone was set yet. We are 100% done planning now. Only thing left to do is finish packing. As of yesterday, I have officially started packing. I pretty much only have jeans and long sleeves to pack and I will be done. Even my toiletries bag is pretty much done. I was very productive yesterday!

Well, I see I once again I have a ton of catching up to do! Have not been around for a few days due to having an epidural steroid injection in my neck and found out on Tuesday I am having carpal tunnel surgery on 9/23. Boy getting older sucks!! Oh well, what can you do right? At least I should be fairly well recovered before our trip. (Hope so anyway, because otherwise hubby is putting up the tent alone! )

We did final payment a while back.

I think I am pretty much set as far as planing. We have ADRS we are happy with, and know what we want to do in each park each day. Beyond which FP to get at RD we are going with the flow. We are a thrill ride family, and everyone likes to ride so that makes it easier to just go with it. I am just wating for my ticker to roll over to a one!!

Our plans are pretty much set. The trip is paid for, the "fun $$" is in the bank... We also have the ADR's that we (I) wanted, we have our tickets to MVMCP, reservations for the Candlelight Processional, and the safari at AK.... Now we just have to countdown and pack.... The wait has been long but it will be well worth it.....

Yep, our short trip is pretty much set. We're just doing 3 days in the park so only going to MK and DHS. Hopefully, this trip will be a relaxing one for us -- main goal is to enjoy all the Christmas lights and decorations.

Glad your trip worked out- I guess SOG is sorta used to that!

It is a lovely rainy day here! We actually need the rain badly - everything is turning brown.

Off of work today!! Got DH & DS off to school/work at 8am, laid down on the couch to enjoy the quiet - woke up at noon!!!

WDW tickets - paid!
MVMCP tickets - paid!
DDP - paid!
ADRs - done (ish) - slight adjustments due to possibility of Aunt coming
Spending money - building up!
extra fun stuff - pirate league, pirate fireworks, dessert party, family magic tour - scheduled!!

I'm waiting on my friend (who is a travel agent & we moved our reservation to her)to get back from WDW to make our final payment. I had to wait on my rewards card to arrive from Chase so we'll apply that then what little we have to pay out of pocket next week once she is home.

I really need to sit down and figure out which park we're doing which day(s). I've only went so far as to possibly decide on Sunday 28th.

I'm glad everyone likes the new thread!! It looks like I have a lot of catching up to do. I will try to go back and read the last several pages tonight. I have been called in to sub every day this week and am already scheduled for Mon & Tues of next week. I am so exhausted!
