Hello all.
Checking in from Florida! So funny you guys are talking about driving down. We drove down on Saturday. Left Maryland around 5am and got here (about 2 hours north of Orlando) around 7pm. I like to drive straight through. My boys did great!

Going to see Mickey today for 3 days! Can't wait to see the look on DS face!! For those who don't know. I am surprising my DS and taking him to Disney for 3 days for his birthday. We are down here because we are going on a cruise on Sunday. I'll be sure to post pictures when I get back

Wow You made good time driving....Have a great time, would love to see the look on your DS face when he finds out about going to see Mickey...try to stay cool, I have read it has been hot down there.

Anyone else do scrapbooks or Disney Photo Books? I have done 4 scrapbooks and 3 photobooks (through the Disney photo pass). They are awesome but expepnsive. I've been playing around with digital scrapbooking and think I might try and do my own book designs through Artscow. I've gotten hold of some Disney background papers and embellishments through the disigners and ebay. Just curious if anyone else does this stuff.

We did the Disney photo book for this last trip we took in January. I absolutely love it!!! I was looking into pre-purchasing the photo cd this time and saw on the photo pass website where you can get the cd and a photo book for $150 by pre-purchasing, so I am seriously considering doing that this time.

I wish we could fly. All the flights leaving here we can't work into our schedule without paying about $500 a ticket! We have drove every year anyways, so I guess this year will be no different. It is around a 12-13 hour drive. We always split it in 2 days. The girls are good travelers, so it is usually pretty simple. We typically try to make it as far as Columbia, SC if we are leaving on a Fri evening and then drive the rest of the way in on Sat for check in. We have drove it all in one day several times on our return. We have a bad habit of adding days once we get there!

I hope you all have a blast!! Make sure you get a pic of your son's face when he finds out. I got one of Jessica and Tiff when they found out about their surprise trip this past October and it is priceless!

DisneyFam09- They do a special paprade and fireworks during the MVMCP. The parade is awesome! I don't remember the changes to the fireworks. This year we are going for the 3rd time, we added an extra day just to be able to go- we love it!

Anyone done or heard of the Pirate's League? It's at the POTC ride and you go get made up like a pirate and they give you a pirate name and other stuff. My boys did it last Oct and it was really cool. I really didn't think it was too expensive for everything we got. I'm going to post some pics for you to see (the one thing I will say is that the make up was a pain to get off)

Very cute Pirate League pics! We haven't done that. The boys did do a Pirate Cruise at CBR one trip though and had a blast!!

Ok, I need someone to stop me from planning more! I am about to renew my annual pass and get everyone else seasonal passes. (I have an annual pass because my old job used to take me to Orlando regularly.) These tickets alone are gonna cost quite a bit. (But cheaper than buying 6 or 7 day park hoppers.) YET, I want more!

Listening to everyone talk about MVMCP has me just chomping at the bits to go!! Jessica, Tiffany and I just went to our first MNSSHP this past Oct and it was great. Now I want everyone else to see the Christmas version, BUT that is another $311 plus tax! Is the party really worth it? Should I just chill and enjoy what we already have planned? We are already doing the DP for the first time this trip and that will add something new but......

If you just can't swing the party don't worry about it! I personally, liked the Halloween party better of the two! It was just more fun..and spooky!!! Hee Hee!! I am considering the Christmas party for us this year...because we aren't doing F! or HDDR or anything....and we haven't been to it in several years..but the last 2 or 3 trips during that time we didn't do it. I surely don't think I need to go every year...buy my kids REALLY want to do it!! And I am trying to talk Mike into one or two extra days...he ain't buying!! Silly man...what is wrong with him?

I know what you mean about not "having" to do it. We have been in Nov before and didn't do it, but I can't lie I really want to go and so do the kids. (Hubby doesn't really care and would probably agree if I asked.) This trip I really want every bit of magic I can get! And its already costing so much whats another $350?

What's wrong with your hubby!? Extra days at Disney are always better than less! I think that may be why I decided on leaving on Saturday this trip, just in case we decide we "need" an extra day. (We stayed two extra days on our last trip in January.)

I'm trying to get a feel for our tentative touring schedule/plans morning and evening...I'd love to see the Lights on the the 23rd (one of my DD's b-days)...

now I noticed on the offical site they do not list any specific dates and still show one night from last yr 2009 when the "show" wasn't available...

any help/thoughts?

I LOVE to create Disney albums and mini custom books...too fun...I have not done any digital excpet for a PhotoPass book too (which is great)...the digital books I've done have been manily general, school, wedding...on photo sites

love to hear of other options for digital Disney...

Hmm. . . I really don't remember where I got that! Actually I think someone else posted it when they saw it on some other site and I copied it to the front page of the thread. And several people that got that Monster Pin said that it was listed on there as starting on the 8th. Someone posted a link to the Monster Pin awhile back. But no, it is still not listed on the WDW site and when I have called and asked when the OL start no one seems to know. . .

Ksueboo- I don't think you can post pics directly from snapfish. You need to set up a photobucket acct and do it from there. These recent pics we've been posting are my first and it was pretty easy (took me two times)

Cyndi-Thank you! That is kinda what I was thinking when I was searching everywhere for an IMG code on snapfish and all I could find were links.


I LOVE the passport idea. We have never done that. I think we might try the Kim Possible Adventure while we are at Epcot. It looks like something my 12 year old and 9 year old twins might enjoy!

Cyndiloveswalt~ Thank you for the reply. I just wanted to make sure buying the tix for MVMCP are worth it.

I have two nephews that would love the Pirate League. I'll have to tell my sister, they are going in August.
