Hello everyone!
I just spent 45 minutes reading through this entire thread and it is getting me super excited for our trip. We will be at SSR from Nov.19-28. It is me,DH,DS12,DS6.
We have been for Thanskgiving once before and loved it! We actually added on the 19th so that we could do MVMCP because they don't do it the week of Thanksgiving.
We will be driving down (which we've done before and don't mind) because airfare is crazy when returning over the holiday weekend.
For those who will be there for Thanksgiving, where are you planning to eat? This is my biggest dilemma. We ate at Chef Mickey's last time and it was OK but wanted something different-thingking about Liberty Tree.
Please add me to your list and lets keep the excitement going!!

Anyone doing anything this weekend that is related to the trip?

Yesterday, I looked at cargo boxes (that go on top of vehicles) to get a feel for the size. We have finally decided that we need one. Our Armada holds 7 people, but when it comes to 'stuff ....' it is a little limited on space. My son had to sit next to a wall of luggage last fall when we headed down to Orlando and PC for the cruise. Haha! He was ok with it, but my mom was freaking out that he was too crowded.

I will continue to figure out my ADRs so that I can send them to the IPO next week. Whew. That "180-days-out day" is coming soon!!

Sounds like you are getting all ready for the trip! I'm sure your DS will be glad to have the extra space in the vehicle!

Nope, no real Disney related plans this weekend. . . Unless I end up at the mall, then I might have to buy a new outfit for the trip!!

WOW! Wonder what they were waiting for? The hours don't seem too different from that time last year, do they? Oh well...just glad they are up...let the planning begin!!

I have TWO questions. #1-We are leaning towards Thanksgiving week + either the week BEFORE or AFTER. Does anyone know which week will be busier? (Before or after Thanksgiving?) I'm sure T-giving week is crazy, so we'd like to avoid the crowds on the other days.

#2-Also hoping to volunteer at a shelter/soup kitchen, etc.. on Thanksgiving Day, since we won't be w/ our family anyway. Has anyone done this? Any suggestions on where? (DH, me, DD10, DS7) Thanks!

I haven't been either week, but from everything I read on here I would say the week before Thanksgiving will be less crowded.

If I went to the parks page, select a park, and then calendar; it would allow me to see the November 2010 hours.

Hi Shelly! thank you so much for taking over.. I know I neglected the other nov countdown.. just got super busy with life I guess. But I am back and ready to start the planning! .. now I need to get caught up.. only got to page 7.. will have to go back and finish tomorrow!

Count us in!

We are going 11/10-17 and staying at the Poly.

We are looking forward to catching the end of F&W and a MVMCP The Osbourne lights would be a excellent bonus.

As far as dining, we each get to pick our personal favorite and then we will go from there. I am hoping to try some new places this trip.

Saw this thread and wanted to add our surprise trip dates.
we will be going 10/30-11/5 staying at Pop.

We are surprising our DDs ages 7 and 6 at the time of the trip. Can't wait to see their faces.

I am surprising my son for a short 2 day trip for his birthday in June too.. we will be in Florida leaving on a cruise on Sunday.. taking him to Disney Thur, fri and sat.. can't wait to see his face!!
