Ok, so AC Moore had 50% off regular price coupon today (also Sun and Mon) so I went and purchased a bunch of stuff (one for each family member) including: Turkey (ish) feathers!

I'll try gluing some onto my LGMH that I already have made to see how it looks. I'll post a pic if it looks good!

Ooh have you been to the Garden View Tea Room? Its so elegant!! We have had a "ladies" tea there on several occasions. We always dress up in pretty sundresses to fit into the elegant setting. The service is superior, the food and tea excellent. It was the most relaxed unhurried meal we've ever had at Disney. I always get the Buckingham Palace, which is the service that includes champagne and strawberries!

This is my 4th time there, Mom's second and friends 2nd. It's so lovely and a nice break from the parks. We normally go a la carte because we're not big dessert eaters but we love the cheese, scones and tea sandwich's.

I love Hebrew National brand FF hot dogs cause I can have two instead of one cause they are so low calorie.

BUT, most of all I love their motto "No ifs, ands or butts"! You can sell me almost anything with humor.

weHEARTmickey, you are so clever. I recently scanned the LGM you once left me into my computer to add to a Disney c/d. Do not feel badly, I did the same with my grandchildren's baby pictures in preparation for a move to a much smaller home. One c/d takes the place of several photo albums.

Oh come on!! I used to live in Texas. Where do you live? Hebrew National Franks are the leading Kosher brand! They're wonderful and even now come in reduced fat, and maybe fat free (but the fat free ones aren't great). You'll probably not find a "kosher" market in most small towns, but you'd probably find one in Austin, Dallas and Houston and Galveston. The oldest Jewish congregation in Texas is in Galveston. However, kosher foods are everywhere. You just need to know their symbols to find them. For instance, Entennmans baked goods are kosher. Heinz ketchup is. Bushes baked beans vegetarian (blue label) is kosher, although their other varieties are not. This means the vegetarian ones (orthodox certification) are made in a separate facility. I even found kosher food in HEB! You probably won't find a kosher deli though, unless you're in a big city.

I have not noticed those symbols..perhaps because I haven't been aware they were there, or what they were for....I didn't know about the Jewish people in Galveston either. Apparently you are a lot more educated with this topic than we are...so, forgive my ignorance.

I need to start planning and shopping for my window decorating. My parents are driving down (they live in Fl half the year) so we are sending what we can with them (decorations, swim suits, wipes, diapers etc ) so it's less to carry. Since weheartmickey was such a sweet gal my window theme will be fall and my parents will be Christmas! I got cute little pumpkin things from walgreens today. If I figure out how to pip from my phone I will.

Jessica - many prayers for your grandmother's peaceful passing. Not sure if I mentioned it yet here (I know I did on the "Skinny Island" WISH thread) but DH's grandmother was diagnosed with bile duct cancer this week. She's 85 and has some other health issues, but is electing to do chemo and radiation as long as she can tolerate it. We're hoping she can make it until her next great-granddaughter is born (due Nov. 2) and through Christmas, but most of all don't want her to suffer.

Two months from right now we'll be finishing packing up the truck to leave the next morning for Florida; woo-hoo!

Hi everyone! There is no way that I will be able to read this entire thread, but couldn't not post

We (me, DH, and DD's 7 and 4) along with our friends will be headed to Disney on the 26the of November, staying at Pop and heading home on the 3rd of December. I am the only one of the 7 of us that have been to Disney and it was 1984 when I was there

We aren't telling our girls until the morning we get up to leave. They are going to be SOOOO excited. I can't wait.

I think we have everything planned out, but I'm always up for suggestions. I got soooooo much of this information from this board and used the tools and resources that I have learned from here to plan it as best I could (I am a HUGE lurker, and infrequent poster).

August 26th room only at Pop
Package begins August 27th
MK with a 10:20 Crystal Palace ressie, 4:35 early dinner at 1900 Park Fare
28th: Epcot 8:10 am breakfast at Akershus
29thHS, no TS planned
30th: Animal Kingdom-dinner for DH and I at Narcoosees
1st: MK with 9:10 at Ohana
2nd: free day with MVMCP that night.
3rd: departure day

I cannot wait to go!

Thank You ALL for your well wishes and prayers. She is still hanging on -tho no one knows how or why. She even was awake some yesterday and talked to us. She laughed and smiled all day yesterday. She isn't hurting, they have her doped up on way to much morphine for pain. But she is mad because she is ready to go to Heaven and her Angels seem to be lost. She told me yesterday she seen her Angels but they were leaving. I told her to yell for them to come back and get her. And she said she couldn't. For me to yell for Lois. I asked her who Lois was and she said her Angel. I don't know if I really believe she seen her Angels or if her mind is starting to go. But that was the only thing she said that would have been off all day. So maybe she really did! But in any case, she is having one heck of a time watching and waiting! I can only hope when it is my time to go, that I can have as much joy and peace in it as she does. She amazes me!

And I wanted to add, the Lime Green Mickey Heads are great!

Aww Jessica, it must be so very hard but you are so lucky too that she was awake and you were able to talk to her so close to the end and at least she is not in pain due to the morphine, I will pray the angel Lois comes back to show your Dear Grandmother the way home
