Hey Ladies, I don't want to be the downer of the thread today, but you all are a great supportive bunch..... My grandma that I have mentioned earlier in the thread is critical. The is in congestive heart failure and end stage lung cancer. (She never smoked a day in her life!). The family was called in earlier this week to tell her goodbye. She has been in and out of conscience since Wed night. We have been told we only have a few days. Could you all say a prayer for her. That she goes quickly and that she doesn't suffer anymore. She is so ready to go "home". Thanks everyone!

Jessica

Oh Jessica! I am so sorry! You are in our prayers!:grouphug::hug::grouphug:

That's a great idea!

First of all - we need to come up with a name for our group!!

Since all DISers hang the LGMH on their bags, backpacks, and strollers, we need something to identify our group here. When I was on a January countdown we called ourselves the Snowbirds. Then we all got the LGMH and wrote "Snowbirds" on them. It was fun spotting them in the parks! I think I saw 4 or 5 Snowbirds on that trip! One of them right in the Pittsburgh airport - we were on the same flight! :goodvibes

Unfortunately I'm not very creative, so someone else is going to have to come up with a name!! :rotfl: I can't even think of a title for my PTR, and I want to start it next week! :upsidedow

Oh my goodness! I thought I recognized you! I was part of that thread too! But, I forgot my LGMH tags at home on that trip. The only thing I forgot. :guilty: I do like the idea of a Turkey Mickey!

I have an idea! What if we do the Mickey Heads in brown or orange, it looks 'fallish' and there isn't a lot of creativity needed for those of us who lack in that dept. Like me. :lmao:
Let me know what you guys think. I am headed to Home Dept today and can see what 'fallish' colors they have right now.
Just a thought. I won't be offended if you guys don't like it. :thumbsup2

Ideas ... maybe you'll like something here or it will inspire someone else for something grand!
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If you want to continue on the fall theme, we could use "Fall for Mickey" or "Fall for Disney" on our MH.

Go to craft store and get feathers (get the fall colors) and glue onto your LGMH (or fall colored MH)

A picture of a turkey with Mickey ears.

Grab fall colored Chenille Sticks (we used to call these pipe cleaners) and make three circles to form a Mickey. Hang from your stroller, bag, etc. (Although these may be hard to see).

As for Names:
----------------
Mickey + Thanksgiving = Mickeygiving

Since you were called Snowbirds before, we could just be called the Turkeys! :rotfl2:

Or a play on Turducken = TurMickey or MicTurkey

Turkeys + Tinkerbell = Turkerbells or Turkeybells

Another Snowbird??? :yay: That makes about 4-5 of us on this thread too!

I have an easy solution here. Kosher food. If its kosher, it will not have any pork in it,

apparently in Texas, there is not a high demand for Kosher food!! I agree--it is sooo good!! The only thing I have seen here, is a brand of weenies-I think the name is Hebrew National.? Not sure, but they were wonderful!!!! Thanks for all the Kosher info!!! I needed that!
My DD wants a Canon PowerShot for her birthday. I'm looking at the sd1400 is and the sd3500 is. Any thoughts? I want to keep it under $300.

We bought my ds a Canon last year for his 14th bday--He looooves it! I think it was around $200...not sure what it was...small, in fact he can put it in his pocket in his jacket and you don't see it...he has taken very good care of it and some of our Disney pics last year, and the pics they took in New York where mostly his! We got it at Best Buy...
:banana::cool1::banana: 9 WEEKS!! :banana::cool1::banana:

Yay Shelly!!!!!

Jessica~Your family is in my prayers today!!

We bought the Canon sd1400is because the salesyoungster at Best Buy showed my daughter a feature that takes the picture in black & white with only one other color emphasized. She flipped out and the camera shopping was quickly over!:thumbsup2

We didn't take dad, the engineer, with us. He would have whipped out a spread sheet and meticulously analyzed each feature on every camera. We would still be there.

Forgot to post my ADR's!

That sounds like a very interesting feature to have in a camera :thumbsup2

Oh come on!! I used to live in Texas. Where do you live? Hebrew National Franks are the leading Kosher brand! They're wonderful and even now come in reduced fat, and maybe fat free (but the fat free ones aren't great). You'll probably not find a "kosher" market in most small towns, but you'd probably find one in Austin, Dallas and Houston and Galveston. The oldest Jewish congregation in Texas is in Galveston. However, kosher foods are everywhere. You just need to know their symbols to find them. For instance, Entennmans baked goods are kosher. Heinz ketchup is. Bushes baked beans vegetarian (blue label) is kosher, although their other varieties are not. This means the vegetarian ones (orthodox certification) are made in a separate facility. I even found kosher food in HEB! You probably won't find a kosher deli though, unless you're in a big city.

Ooh have you been to the Garden View Tea Room? Its so elegant!! We have had a "ladies" tea there on several occasions. We always dress up in pretty sundresses to fit into the elegant setting. The service is superior, the food and tea excellent. It was the most relaxed unhurried meal we've ever had at Disney. I always get the Buckingham Palace, which is the service that includes champagne and strawberries! :yay:

Ok, so AC Moore had 50% off regular price coupon today (also Sun and Mon) so I went and purchased a bunch of stuff (one for each family member) including: Turkey (ish) feathers!

I'll try gluing some onto my LGMH that I already have made to see how it looks. I'll post a pic if it looks good!;)
