Well, Lobo is now at a shelter. It was the hardest thing for me to do and i cried the whole time but I was left with no choice yesterday.
It was the best decision though ... i can tell how much more relaxed our house is now without him freaking out at everything.

 I agree that you did the right thing for your family. I know it wasn't easy, and we had to get rid of a dog over a year ago now that I still think about and worry about whether she got adopted and how her new family treats her, if she misses us, feels like we abandoned her, etc. She wasn't a violent or dangerous dog, but situations changed and nobody in our family could keep her anymore. I still feel terrible. :sad1:

Well i have decided to take the job after talking to my old boss.

Congrats & good luck in the new job! When do you start?

-- I got into a fender bender on my way to work.
-- Colin had a raging ear ache, his first real fever and then developed what we think was roseola.
-- We spent this weekend in Dearborn, Michigan on a mini holiday. The good: a visit to Greenfield Village was really cool. The bad: Colin no longer does very well sleeping in the same room as us. It was BAD!! Also, I got food poisoning or SOMETHING

Sounds like you've been going through a lot lately! I hope things continue to get better for you! We're pretty sure that Alex had roseola before (his first real fever too), but when we called his pediatrician, they said that they didn't need to see him anyway b/c there was nothing they could do. Unless the fever didn't break or the rash didn't go away, they said it was unnecessary.

We had a great time yesterday at my cousin's for a pool party/Prison Break season premiere party. We put Alex in the pool with a life vest on, but he still hasn't really mastered balance, and drank A LOT of pool water yesterday, but had a great time. Everytime he started to dip his face under the water, somebody would pull him up and he would come up all grins and giggles.
Does anybody else watch Prison Break? I thought last night's episode was pretty good, better than some last season for sure! :thumbsup2

Hi Moms!

DMickey - I'm so sorry about your dog. It must be heartbreaking to have to give him up, but in the end, it's the best choice for both you and him. Most of the shelters around here are really good about matching up people and dogs who are good matches (no kids, other dogs, etc)

Mel - The trip sounds like fun (minus the food poisoning...). Christopher always did good sleeping with us, but he hasn't in a while. We have to take him for an overnight to a hotel coming up, so I'm hoping he still can.

Michelle - congrats on the new job!

Denise - if Mo really likes the YoBaby yogurt, you can also try buying just plain yogurt, and mixing in pureed fruit (and maybe some sugar). It's WAY cheaper than the YoBaby stuff. Christopher really likes it, and it's pretty easy. Everyone told me the seeds from some fruits would be bad, but he never really minded.

Ash - you are so good with the stuff you make for Ellery! I'm so impressed.

So Christopher is giving me a run for my money :) Yesterday he was laying in his crib doing everything possible to not take a nap, and somehow managed to get his leg through the slats in the crib, and then turn it so he couldn't get it back out. I couldn't get it out, and of course, DH is out working in the yard with the chainsaw running. So I have to leave Christopher screaming in his crib while I run outside to get Brian. He's got a little bruise on his leg, but otherwise, no problems. A few hours later, I'm getting him ready to go in the tub. He standing up holding the edge of the tub and watching the water go in, when he decided to try and reach the water. You guessed it - headfirst into the tub. He thought it was funny, but I'm having chest pain :) And after all of this, I'm outside bringing some brush down to the pile with the golf cart. Our dog loves to run around the golf cart, and somehow managed to run right in front of me. Of course, I'm only going about 5 mph, so he only got a bump, but again, more chest pain for me!

Let me tell you - what a relief to go back to work!!!! :)

Thanks for the kind words about Lobo.

Jen - I am sorry you had such a tough day!! DS used to get his legs caught in the slates once in a while. The worst is that I think he is in there just pissed off that I am making him lay down ... then you go in and see he is stuck. Worst Mommy in the World award for that. That's when I started recognizing the different levels of cry!!

Note to self: Make sure there is not a Huggies Overnight diaper in the load of laundry. Luckily it was clean but now I am having to re-wash everything to get all the little jelly balls off of it. It was a nice load of clothes too, I have no idea how the diaper got in there.

Oh no! :lmao: Was Alexander around the hamper or laundry basket? My Alex loves to take things and put things into any type of container, so I am constantly finding things that don't belong in the laundry. These kids keep us busy!

HA ... No, he wasn't. The load was mostly from our trip last weekend and I think there must have been a stray diaper from the suitcase in the pile. I hope that i don't have to wash it too many times to get it out!!!

DMICKEY- huge hugs to you. you had me crying just reading that. I can't imagine how hard it was, but you did what you had to do. I hope it gets easier each day. :grouphug:

MEL- welcome back, sorry about the fender bender and stomach flu!! that's no fun.

JEN- gosh, you are giving me a heart attack reading all that! :rotfl: Glad everyone is okay, dog included! lol

Well turned in my notice today. I couldn't get a hold of my boss by phone (he works in PA, i work in TX), so i finally had to just leave him a VM and send him the letter by email. I had to leave a VM, because he is so busy, he would probably not see the email. I also sent it to HR. my last day will be Sept 18th. I am waiting to see if they still want me to go to this tradeshow in Atlanta or not. I would leave on sat the 13th and come back on the 18th (my last day). So we will see. I would prefer not to go, but I will if they need me, because that is just how I am. I know, too nice! Plus i will miss my little Will for 5 nights. ugh!

DMickey - I'm so glad I haven't washed a diaper yet. Christopher loves to put things in buckets, so I'm sure it's only a matter of time. His latest favorite is to sit in the grocery cart, and put things back on the shelves if I stop too long. He's like my little budget man - "No Mommy, don't buy that!"

Awww ... I need a little budget man!! Mine is the opposite and either throwing things in the cart or pulling tags off so that I need to buy it anyway!!

Michelle - Congratulations on putting in the notice. I think this a good move for you. I don't know exactly what you do but I doubt they will have you go to the show unless they are really strapped.

Hi ladies!! Live from WDW tonight!! ;) :cloud9:

Today was our first real day at The World....DH and I spent Labor Day weekend at my girlfriends house in northern Orlando, and checked-in to the Boardwalk Villas today. My parents (who were visiting friends in West Palm Beach) picked us up....and here we are!!!

We checked-in around 2:00 and decided to relax at the hotel and let Brady take an afternoon nap. We then had dinner at Cape May Cafe, and went over to Epcot to walk around and get a margarita in Mexico! We were going to stay for Illuminations, but Brady went MENTAL in his stroller around 8:30....so....we came back. Funny, I'm sitting watching Big Brother (what I would do on a normal Tuesday night) while Brady is sleeping! We put his pack-n-play in the closet  and so far so good!

The place seems EMPTY - at least at the Boardwalk and at Epcot tonight. It's kinda weird, since the last time I was down here was Christmas and it was so freakin crowded you couldn't even walk anywhere!! Our plan for tomorrow is to go to the Magic Kingdom in the morning and get Brady's hair cut at the Barber Shop!!

I put some cute pics of our first couple of days on the blog....http://nhbradyboy.blogspot.com/

Hope all is well ladies!! :goodvibes

I guess that's better than throwing them on the floor or pulling them off of shelves to put in the cart or throw on the floor. :headache:

KELLY- glad you guys are having a good time and glad it isn't crowded- Brady looks like he is having a blast!

JEN- too funny on him putting things back at the grocery store. that is just too adorable! :goodvibes

Well my last day here is Sept 18th! Everyone knows as of today. So time to start transitioning stuff over. I am nervous about the new job, but it always works out and I always adjust. I am a Marketing Director and do everything from marketing strategy to coordinationg tradeshows, writing press releases, branding campaigns etc.

Man there are so many political threads on the board, i am tempted, but i keep telling myself, 'slowly step away from the thread!'......lol

oh and i saw some cute little sweat shirt type zip up jackets at target for toddler boys for $11. They had cars, then a cute brown one with mickey and then an all out mickey one with mickey's all over it. I picked up one in size 2T for when we go to WDW next year for Will!

Michelle..I ordered t shirts $5 t-shirts for myself, DH, and the twins lsat week from disney shopping. We got them the NEXY DAY!! Crazy! The hoodies sound cute!

------------------------------

Well, we are awaiting Hurricane Hanna, and it looks like dead on for Wilmington/ Brunswick county beaches. Should be tomorrow evening through saturday morning. Doesn't look too bad as far as storms go, so we are staying put (although if Ike comes this way we are outta here!).

The thing that stinks is that the twins club thrift sate was supposed to be this weekend! I was ready to shop. It has been postponed, and now the club will have to find a new location, since the location we have used for years is booked for the immediate future! Hopefully we will get it sorted out and maybe we can have the sale next weekend...we shall see!

Michelle- back away from the political threads... It's no good. :sad2: I swear, I have got to stop! And I need to stop watching the TV all the time. It's making me crazy!!! At work we talk about politics, but everyone is respectful. That is seriously lacking in most political arenas (including the DIS). Honestly, sometimes I think it would be easier just not to care. :guilty:

Meredith- Stay safe! I hope it takes it easy on you!

I just can't wait for the election to be over. I can't get away from it, there is political fighting everywhere.

Ugh- I hear ya. But I am so ridiculous- I keep watching the speeches, tuning into CNN, reading the news and clicking on those &^%&^$ political threads. I'm like an addict. :headache:

Can we please just fast-forward to November and get it over with so my guy can win? ;) :rotfl:

You sound just like me :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm watching "that other guy" right now. :confused3 I think maybe I need to go play tetris or something.

:lmao: Me too! :lmao: I can't help myself.

Is there like, a 12 step program for this?

I don't know. I know I was like this in '04 too, except maybe worse. I was glued to CNN pretty much around the clock and I was a bit more fiery about it 4 years ago too. Now I don't say much about it to anyone else, just kind of sit around and brew. It's not good. Maybe step 1 should be

1. Do not leave the mom's thread

2. News channels=bad.

3. virtual shopping

okay I only got to 3.

Ok, now I'm annoyed. (at the booing).

4. Do not click on any political threads.

5. If you do click, don't post.
