It is 2:07 am. :surfweb: I have to work tomorrow. And my kid has been up and SCREAMING BLOODY MURDER for, oh, 2 hours. I'm so tired, agitated, and crabby that I'm considering running away. (Ok, fantasizing, really- in my fantasy I leave the house and go to a hotel and SLEEP.)

Sorry you had such a rough night, is she doing any better today? Did she take a nap ok?

Brady is on his way to get tubes...just like his big brother.

Not only does he have his 3rd double ear infection in 3 months, he has hand/foot/mouth.

Sorry I don't have any recommendations, but I hope Brady is feeling better soon! That must be tough on both of you.

We are back from the allergist. They did a skin test for milk, egg, peanut, soy and wheat. The doctor will have to get the official results but he did have a reaction to the milk so we are on to step two which will be a more extensive blood workup.

I hope they are able to figure everything out with the allergies. Better to do it now than after he has a bad reaction!

Stacy - I don't know of a specific ENT up here, but I know of a few kids that I work with that have gone to The Elliot (the main hospital in Manchester, NH) for the procedure and have done great and have had no issues. Maybe give Elliot a call and see if they can point you in the right direction? Or try their website? Hope that helps!!

:hug: to you ladies having rough nights! Becky - I am the same way with Brady. He is such a great, great sleeper that the nights that he happens to get up in the middle of the night crying freak me out because I think something is really wrong with him.

All your stories make me think I should maybe start putting a blanket in with Brady. And that I should take my bumpers off.

Denise - love the pics of Mo!! He seems like such a happy little guy! Not sure what to tell you about the naps, only that teeth can cause some strange behavior - so maybe that's it? :confused3

So this Sunday my little guy turns 1!!!! :cool1: Hard to believe a year ago I was huge, swollen, and miserable. :laughing: God....this first year has absolutely FLOWN by. I have learned so much and feel like my life has changed so much since Brady was born. I couldn't be in a happier place - hard to believe I have a 1 year old little guy!! :love:

happy early birthday Brady!!! so are you doing a party with family?

Meredith- i checked out the pics and they are so adorable!love the one on his head and i have the same green feeding chair!

another 110 day. i have a sinus infection and feel like crap. lovely! :rotfl: just booked a 5 night trip to Atlanta for work in mid September-----i am going to go crazy, missing my little guy. Poor Dh has to fend for himself for 5 nights, 4 days. i always come back more appreciated though. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Vaylie was fine all day yesterday. My grandma and mom said she took two really good loooong naps. :rolleyes1: Of course she did! Little stinker. I was dead on my feet yesterday, so last night I went to bed at 9pm. I just could not stay awake. But, no issues last night. :yay:

Denise- I love that picture of Mo- so cute.

Meredith- your twins are getting so big! And Sam standing on his head is adorable- that's one of Vaylie's favorite things, too!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I can't decide when I am going to put Vaylie into a toddler bed. I'm thinking around when she turns 2. I'm just not entirely sure that I'll be able to trust her to stay in it....
Now, she sleeps with little Mickey, Jedi Mickey, DH's bear from his childhood, a lion and a bear from Build-a-Bear, an Ugly doll, and a small stuffed Darth Vader. :lmao: Since she doesn't have a bumper (I don't even remember when we took it off), I put the stuffed animals in the corners to protect her noggin. And she sleeps with the ugliest blankie we own. It was a "gift" from DH's great-uncle. It's like a bright red southwestern print. He got it for donating money to some Catholic Charity for Native Americans and sent it to us as a present! :rotfl: But, that is her "blankie." Whatever, kid. Nevermind that is doesn't match any of the bedding that your mommy painstakingly picked out to coordinate with the paint job and curtains. :lmao:
WOW!!! My lil' puker Zoe is now eating cheerios and puffs without gagging!! I am so proud of her! Sam is getting most of them in his mouth when he eats cheerios, and Zoe still looks like she is grabbing air when she has cheerios on her tray. I am trying to hand them to her so that she gets the idea better of how to get them in her mouth since her pincer grasp is still not very good. Can't believe that at nearly nine months we are finally making feeding progress! I know I still kinda have to look at adjusted age of 7 1/2 months sometimes, but my guys have basically caught up plus some (even though Zoe is still a teeny peanut!) :lovestruc :cutie: :rotfl: :cloud9:
Not going good for me. My dad has had another heart attack. This will be his 8th. We don't know the damage yet. Ellery keeps looking at me and smiling so big, which is making me cry. She's so sweet and innocent.
:hug: oh Ash ... I am so sorry. I will keep your dad and your family in my thoughts and prayers tonight.
Yes, we are having a big party on Sunday (sailboat themed :boat: ) - mostly family and a few close friends which ended up being around 50 people! :eek: So, we decided to get it catered because it would just be easier on DH and I instead of us running around all day cooking, etc... I'll make sure to take pics of everything. I made chocolate candies (seashells and boats) and put them in little baggies for "favors"...ordered balloons and his cake yesterday. Still so much to do....yikes...not to mention clean the whole house!! It should be a fun day, though! :thumbsup2 I just hope people understand that it is very overwhelming for a little guy to have 50 people in his face all day. Some people just don't "get it", YKWIM? Oh - and not to mention the fact that I am a germ-a-phobe and have been CRAZY trying to keep Brady away from other kids and adults for FEAR that he will get sick before we leave for Disney. So, to have all these people over is kinda freaking me out that he will catch something. :sad2: Sometimes I wish I could just be one of those calm, laid-back moms...but...alas...I am not. ;) :headache:
Becky - glad to hear Vaylie napped well! I love the items in her crib...to cute! My girlfriend just moved her daughter to a toddler bed and she is 4 years old!! Yikes! A little late IMHO....I am hoping to convert Brady's bed into his toddler bed around 3ish. But...we will see!
How exciting!! That is great that Zoe is eating those foods without gagging! In no-time she will be grabbing all kinds of things off her tray and won't let you spoon-feed her anything. ;)
Happy (almost) 1st Birthday Brady! :cheer2: :cheer2:
Thanks Pollito and Alex! :goodvibes
Oh Ash....:grouphug: and more :hug: to you. I will be praying and thinking of you and your dad tonight.
Oh Ash...prayers and blessings coming your way. :hug: And I know how you feel when Ellery looks at you and just smiles when you feel your worse. Mo did that to me today and I just lost it. :sad1: We have the best babies, don't we??
I am so sorry, Ash! :( I hope your dad is okay. He (and you!) will be in my thoughts and prayers.
I'm so sorry, Ash. Hang in there...I'm thinking of you and praying for you and your family. :hug:
DH and I are doing better, although he still doesn't understand exactly how crabby and irrational he gets when he's got low blood sugar. :rolleyes: We really need to figure out a way to get a date night sometime this weekend. Hopefully I can find a babysitter.
Owen has discovered that he can get his bins of toys off of the shelf and empty them out. It's so funny to watch him! But he gets really mad because there's one basket that he can't get out by himself. He's so annoyed by it! And I've also learned that the cart I've been using for his little people castle will have to go - it tips too easily when he grabs it and that castle is going to crash on his head. :scared1: He's just starting to realize that he can grab stuff and try and pull himself up (not that he can pull himself up yet, but he's getting close), and that cart will go right over the minute he starts to pull up on it. :sad2:
Oh, Ash :hug: I'm so sorry about your father. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Cherish little Ellery and her innocence!
Ash - I hope your dad is doing well.
Kelly - sounds like a fun b-day party!
Meredith - Christopher couldn't figure out how to pick up the cheerios for the longest time. The puffs were ok, but not the cheerios. Isn't it funny when they figure out how to feed themselves?
Michelle - hope you're feeling better
Jen- what an adorable pic in your sig!
Ash- so sorry about your dad. Lots of prayers, hugs and thoughts coming your way.
Kelly- the party sounds great! can't wait to see pics. I bet he has a great time.
Beck- too funny on Vaylie and her 'ugly' blanket. don't these kids know how hard we worked to decorate and coordinate? and that is hilarious about the star wars stuffed animals- Dh would love that. i have a pirate mickey i bought last time for him, since we have a peter pan/pirate themed nursery. i put a monkey he has and a shamu from seaworld in his crib for now. he shows no interest in them. i might move pooh bear in there too. i have a stuffed tink, wendy, peter and hook too, but they are more for decoration. lol
Oh, Ash- I'm so sorry things are so hard right now. :hug:
Well, I have been MIA because I went for 24 hours without power at my house. Our teeny tiny town even made the news nationally!! :wooho: Ok. It's not that exciting, but still. We had crazy storms Tuesday evening that knocked the power out around 6:30 pm and they didn't get it back on until 5:00 yesterday. I had to have my MIL come over to the house while I was at work and get all of my food so it didn't spoil (I JUST went grocery shopping and spent $170!!!! SAVE THE FOOD! :rotfl: ). And at 11:30 pm Tuesday night we got to watch the transformer outside our house blow up. :scared:
SO, it's been an interesting couple of days. I am SO glad to have my AC back!
Becky - I am glad that you got power back on. That stinks. For the last two Christmas's when I was home visiting family we lost power for at least 24 hours. Honestly, some of the best times!!
So I finally made a decision on the stroller. I bought the Peg Perego Pliko P3 for $179!! I just finally decided to do it .... I think it's the right choice for now. I'll probably get a Maclaren eventually but for now I think is good. I wanted something with a snack tray for DS when we got to the mall or once the weather gets cooler and we go to the zoo.
Alexander can open up doors now!! He can open his bedroom door after he closes himself in there. Darn ... i used his room as a LARGE playpen because it's baby proofed and he could play in there while i did something that he couldn't be around ... now he can open the door and just waltz out. Now that I think about it, I might have posted that the other day too.
Holy crap I don't know what I would do without my AC!!! And the food! Good thinking to have your MIL come save it all!!
You will :love: the Pliko P3. It is such a great stroller, I can't say enough about it. Brady is so content being in it - I swear it's because of their unique strap mechanism - he has so much freedom to move around. It is going to be so much easier bringing that down to Disney as compared to last time with our big Chicco travel system! Oh - and a secret trick - you can get it to recline flat by taking out the silver tabs in the back. For some reason the US models have these silver tabs, yet other country's models do not??? Got this tip from a friend in Australia! Too funny about Alexander opening doors....it's so funny to me that one day they will just wake up and have an entirely new skill that they can do!!
Still birthday planning and getting stuff ready. DH's sister is over from CA for the week, so it has been nice to see her. Oh - AND...Brady took his first steps the other night!! About 20 paces across the family room!!! :banana: :banana: There is a video of it (kinda dark and not great since we used our regular camera as we were scrambling to get something to document it!!) on Brady's blog if you want to check it out.... http://www.nhbradyboy.blogspot.com/
Kelly - Yeah Brady!! That's awesome ... he is going to be walking everywhere now!!! Sounds like a wonderful birthday party coming up. Is Sunday his actual birthday?
I am so excited about the stroller. We have a Chicco Cortina and a Ct5. I think i am going to try and sell the Cortina and carseat with it. I am hoping for a girl next time and I want to go pink crazy!!! I haven't used the Cortina in months and the CT5 is just a PITA to turn with one hand now and I wanted the snack tray again for Alexander.
