What are the plans with the kitchen?

We are pulling all the upper cabinets out they are so shallow that if you put a dinner plate in there you can't close the doors.. All the upper cabinets are getting re-purposed in the garage, shed & laundry room. All the lower cabinets are being re-finished and the sink is getting moved to under the window. We are also moving the refrigerator as right now it is right next to the stove and cleaning the side of it sucks! The upper cabinets are getting replaced with these really cool open shelves built with supports made of plumbing pipe and wooden shelves (really cooler looking than it sounds). A new lower cabinet with a butcher block top and upper spice cupboard is going where the fridge used to be by the stove. We are pouring our own new concrete countertops...We helped a friend do hers last fall and it came out wonderful and so much cheaper than any other option out there besides more laminate. The UGLY (why would someone do this) Blue rose covered Grandma's living room wallpaper is coming down and the plaster walls are being repaired and painted yellow to show off the huge silly collection of John Deere stuff that we have in our kitchen and the floor is kinda still up in the air.. Either tile with in floor heating or bamboo flooring just still have not decided... Large Samples of both are sitting on our kitchen floor right now and I am leaning towards the bamboo because it feels so much nicer when you have to stand for along time. When we bought the house I loved the size of the kitchen but knew the layout was awful so this remodel has been going on in my mind for 3 years.

When my MIL died in 2009 and we paid off our house with the life insurance we started putting away the $ that used to go to the mortgage for home improvements. Last year was the new metal roof and this year it's the kitchen... Next year we are adding Dormers and turning the attic into a master suite..It will be so nice to have 2 bathrooms! With a house built in 1916 there will likely never be an end to something left to be done.

I would really enjoy the yogurt, and my daughter would as well. My husband and son are anti-yogurt. We grill almost everynight as well in the summer. We have already started using it some this year, everything just tastes better when it's grilled.

Don't tell them the yogurt is there until after... Brant doesn't do yogurt either although Colton and I love it but he likes the smoothies! Def try the peach mangop one...you can buy the peaches already frozen at the grocery store (if I can find it here you can find it anywhere!) since I have not had much luck freezing either peaches or mangos at home.

We have already grilled several times despite the weather, see the what did you have for dinner thread post #379 for a pic of Brant grilling knee deep in snow!

What you don't know won't hurt you?

Sherri that sounds amitious but a very worthy remodel. I have heated tile in my kichen. I like that it doesn't scratch because it is the heaviest walked floor in the house. It has a simple design to heat it. I have forced air heat, and it goes through a grid in under the kitchen to the registers. It certainly has warm and cool places but doesn't require a second heat source. Also one register is under the sink so it warms you feet while you do dishes. Can be really nice in the winter when looking out the window at the snow.

Good Morning. It's really hard to get anything done when the internet is down. I swear it was the cable company messing with me.

True, but somone will get a tape, granted Since DHS has thiers open a ealier the videos will be out pretty quick anyway.

I know that DHS will be opened earlier than DL, but I want to enjoy the ride than just video taping. I said in one of the pp that I will be just taking pictures of the queue while I am in line. I'm hoping that I can get to ride ST2 that weekend.

I totally understand that you want to experience the ride, not experience what it is like to film something you have never done.

Did you enter that drawing? Just later yesterday Disney made a Facebook announcement about the AP previews so I'm sure lots of people entered yesterday evening. Hopefully you got your entries in first.

I also read an interview by the actor who of C3PO. He sounds really excited about the attraction. In particular about the 54 variations. His little article made me more excited about it.

When I do the ride first, than I will videotape it when I go back in June. It is always fun to experience the ride first before I videotape the ride. When I saw WoC last summer during its debut, I was focus on videotaping it then watching it. This time with something new, I want to experience it first before I videotape it. Videotaping shows are nothing compare to experience it in person.

Yes, I did it a few days ago. I bet that a lot of AP holders including the ones on the threads here have entered. I'm hoping that I can get selected to see the sneak peak.

I am excited about this ride including LMAUA and Soundsational.

Time to make dinner, Indiana Jones in the Temple of Doom just started. What do I do?

Took a break from Indy and made dinner. Exciting dinner. Saw two twin moose almost 1 year old. There mom was hit by a car in the fall. Then 3 hawks. Then a cow and calf moose that is almost 2yo. I think the kitchen window had a better show than AMC tonight.

Still waiting to hear the good parts Gisele..............

What were you and the lady fighting about that you almost got booted off the train??

A woman boarded the train with her I believe it was grandmother. The younger woman, who appeared to be in her mid to late 30's, began to knock on the train window, of course that was behind me. OK, so a few knocks, see she was trying to get the attention of her parents. But then, the knocking becomes incessant, then her relative begins to join her! :scared1: Then she calls her father, but he does not hear his phone ring. So.... she continues with the knocking.... I cannot take it anymore, so I say to her excuse me but that is really starting to become annoying, do you mind stopping? Then she looks at me with daggers, followed with if you don't mind I am trying to say good bye to my parents. Then I said, well it is becoming really annoying, do you mind? Then I said what are you 5? Then she commented upon my hair, by saying your hair looks like a 5 year old (Which it did not thank you) then I said no it does not. Then she tells me how ugly she can get. The ticket conductor comes by, I inform him how annoying she is, insulting my hair no less, then she says something, cannot remember what exactly, so now we are talking over each other, then he tells us that if we both don't be quiet we will both be getting off the train. Well that shut us both up. I don't remember what stop that was, but it was not anywhere close to Anaheim, I can tell you that much. Then the rest of the trip she just does not take a breath. Yada yada yada, between her and her relative. Then they leave for a bit. Thank God! But oh no..... they return.... now I know what I sound like when I talk kind of a lot. :scared1: :lmao:

And even before going to wait for the Amtrak bus that early morning, the gold edged rim that was on my bracelet came off, good grief! Not a cheap bracelet either, not to me anyway....

And.......walking down Harbor Blvd to the Disney parking lot on Friday, when it was suppose to rain, but did not really, which was dissapointing to me, my favorite mini-silver metallic umbrella comes off of my bag, and there it lay (Apparently) on the side walk, unbeknowen to me, until I take a seat on the bus. I decided, I am not getting off, to go back to whence I just came. I miss that little umbrella.....

The train does not go anywhere near San Quentin, Matt. It does go to the California State Prison, Corcoran (COR) It is in the Central Valley, in Kings County. I watched a documentary about that prison, and I thought to myself, I recognize that prison. Anyway, from the documentary I learned about something new, well new to me anyway...pruno.
Anyway.... San Quentin is located in Marin County, Ca. It is it's own self contained community. And it is next to the San Francisco Bay, which if you are traveling upon the Golden Gate Ferry, one can have a very good view of the prison. Complete with inmates waving to the passengers that are taking passage upon said ferry. I am not certain that when some do that, they are being smart aleck's, or actually feel like being friendly. Frankly, I am leaning to the former, for their motive.

Bad luck comes in threes? And things got better right?

I wonder if the conductor would of stopped the train and let you out or if he meant at the next stop. If just stoppping the train at least then the lady could walk a mile back to say goodbye.

Unless Corcoran is nothing but the prison with a Amtrak station near it. I would guess it's a similar distance to that of San Quentin to Richmond where Amtrak stops. As I recall there is a bridge from Richmond to San Quentin.

The train had not left the station yet. Anyway.... I was wearing my Tinker bell/Feisty sweater. :) Also, do not insult my hair. Not after a salon visit anyway!
I was disappointed in so far as when I was in So Ca, Charlie Sheen was in Detroit, with his one man show. Therefore, my want of becoming his security goddess is on hold. But not for long. I am getting extremely bored, and am available 24/7 to work. Sleeping is for babies!

I answered in my weather thread.... but summed up.... cloudy, raining, cold. I love this weather! No, I really do. :)

I had seen. But why do you like that weather? People picture California as "fun in the sun".
