Hello everyone.

Didn't eat any spicy chicken today.

A close friend became very sick last night, went to the hospital in major pain, and had to have immediate surgery and is now in the ICU. All of her children and grand children were in town.

This morning I went over to her house because on of her granchildren borrow DS's ski stuff. So I went to pick it up his stuff this morning and walked into the bad news. So I spent the day watching the grand kids age 11years to 2 months while the children went to see thier mom in shifts. Long day for me, worse day for them.

If I'm not on for a while it's because likely tomorrow of Friday I'm going to thier ranch. Her husband will need to stay behind, so I'll go with thier son. Calves should start dropping like rain so it will be a busy spring break for me.

So sorry to hear about your friend. I hope everything turns out well in the end. Good for you helping out with the grandkids & now the calving...I know that both of those can be big jobs...esp with worry about a loved one thrown into the mix. If we miss you for a day or two...know we will be around to welcome you back when you return!

She has not had the little bugger yet...and yes she is full mon miserable poor thing but I guess this will be just like a human baby it will get here when it is ready.

The pool would be for the date, time and sex of the foal. I will say April 1 st. at about 6:01 in the am and will be a filly. In a real pool, one would bet money of course. So in theory my bet will be for 5 dollars.

Thanks for the support everyone. I'll be off to the ranch tomorrow and into next week.

While it is unfortunate that it looks like rain and snow the whole time which will keep us from prepping the hay fields. If we don't have problems calving we might be able to get some projects done that are usually lower priority. Plus now that it is melted out there are some things that happen in winter that need to be redone. I'm sure it will be busy.

Everyone else, stay warm and dry.

I have been off line for a bit. My son will be of to Basic (Army) on Monday. It is a great start for him. We will miss him lots.

Well it looks like all of the island inhabitants are still sleeping in (Except me) on this very lazy Sunday morning. Wake up!........ I am starting to become bored talking to my Ferrari posters, and cats. Then there is the Ferrari poster, that has a cat driving it.
