The new Iphone

well I have mine up and running now
I really happy with it
even if my 2 DS's are fighting over it all evening

how comes they wouldnt let you take them home?

As they're the most incompetent people in the world? ;)

The main issue was due to not being able to do credit checks, meaning if you subsequently fail it you've effectively got a free iphone. However as a "select executive customer" who has regularly spent over £100/£150 a month with o2 over the past few years, i actually feel aggrieved by this. Still, if the shock that lots of people might have wanted to upgrade to this has worn off them by tomorrow, maybe they'll sort out their awful "gateway" upgrade system.

Still, this is o2 we're talking about here

:goodvibes

Sounds like a lot of hassle for a phone, hope it all gets sorted though :goodvibes

Don't have the same opinion of o2 at all, can't believe you're rating them worse than the customer services of say, Travel City Direct!!! :rotfl: To be fair to o2, they've emailed me prior to launch date, and today to update me of the likely availability, that sounds like good customer service to me.

Launch date for hyped items such as the iphone are invariably unsatisfactory affairs, (PS2, PS3, original iphone) spring to mind, but if you must have these items on launch day, then you have to put up with it.

As a self confessed inerd, count yourself lucky, I've yet to secure my iphone upgrade!

i'd feel less aggrieved if everyone was the same, but people being activated when they 'can't' do mine, leaves a bad taste!

Ok, for those of you with the new iphone whay Apps have you downloaded. I have downloaded Crash Bandicoot nitro kart - totally amazing, Tuner, this is pretty good too. Phone Saber, currency Remote and Local picks.

I haven't got an iPhone (I don't use my mobile enough to justify paying a monthly tariff) but I do have an iPod Touch. Just browsing through the Apps there seem to be a load of tip calculators there.

I like the look of iPint :drinking1 Just downloading the 2.0 update for my Touch and then I'll have a proper look through.
