Congrats, one day I would love to see everything decorated for the holidays!!

will be at GF in 44 days !!!

Quick cabana questions...i am thinking of booking one for our down day as a surprise so my questions if anyone knowd...

1. what are the time blocks you can book for
2. can I book it now or do i have to wait til that day?
3. Is the stocked fridge items extra or included
5. do you get a "cabana boy" ;) ?
6. and lastly..anyone know the current $$ ?

thanks!!!

OK!! As always I never claim to be a pro, I am still in training!!:teacher:

But I have rented the Cabanas and I have called for this year so here goes!

1. 10 to 2 or 3 to 7
2. You can book 90 days from the first day of arrival
3. Soda, Water, Juice (included)
4. Lifeguards are the Cabana men or women
5. $60 for 1/2 day and $110 for full day!!

So, how did I do? Hope well!!

Here's alittle extra:

There is a TV, Air Conditioner, Satellite Radio, Basket of Fruit. Table with two chairs & Two lounge chairs.

Have a great time!!

I saw a picture of the H2O bath products someone posted and was wondering if only club level guest get the leg gel and shower gel. All we got in our room was the shampoo, conditioner, body butter, and bar nubby soap, and facial soap. Just wondering, Thanks.

THANKS!!! Its the little extras you added that will have me on the phone bright and early tomorrow to see if there are any available :) especially the part about tv and air conditioning ;) I will get DH to be my cabana boy... just want someone to get my frozen drinks for me

The cabanas sound wonderful and I know my dh and ds would love one as much as I would. But ... we're going in December and the weather is unpredictable. I'd hate to reserve one in advance and have it just be too chilly to enjoy a pool day.

So my question is ... are they always booked up in advance, or would we have a chance of getting one on the day we actually want to use it?

We got all those you mentioned in RPC but I'm confused by 'leg gel' ... we got something called 'foot rub'

Woo Hoo! We'll be at GF in September and I can't wait until 90-days out to book my cabana. I'm not a lounging around kinda gal but I promised DH that I'd try it -- so I'm doing it in style!! (hehe)

One Q: Just call the main GF number to reserve? Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you!

Hi everyone, this is a great thread.

I am thinking of staying at the GF next year though probably only a garden view, it seems club level is very popular however as we are staying for 14 nights we can't afford club level though it does sound fantastic.

Is it still worth staying at the GF if we only have a standard view room?

Welcome!!

Not that I wouldn't love club level, but I have always choosen more time at WDW with a GV.

The first time at the GF we worried about our decision (GV). Well, we loved it and request the same building every time (Big Pine Key).

Maybe one day we'll try RPC, but I am afraid that I will love it so much I'll never be able to go back to GV!!:woohoo:

No, you call 1-407-WDW-PLAY.

Its the number for Golf, Cabanas and recreational bookings!!:goodvibes

If you have any pictures of things like a close up of the Tink on the bed spreads and close up the differents characters in the carpet. I really wanted pictures of that stuff but with four kids our hands were full........

I have these, but they're not on my computer yet. The disc is at home and I'm at work. If no one else posts one before I get home tonight, I'll do it then.

Hi, Thank you for your reply, hopefully I will be able to get a really nice GV room too.

Yes, I meant foot rub, sorry. So I guess you only get the extras if your in club level.

I was going to mention, we are staying at the GF and have stayed at the BC, now we were once upgraded to BC Clb Level and from what it sounds like their club level was not near what the GF sounds like....While very nice not to have had to pay for it, I am not sure that I could justify it at this point, maybe with kids it would be more convenient for us and it sounds like the GF is the place to do it.

You see we are Disney Commando types (hhahaa) and do not spend enough time in the room and I am truly the kind who would have to get my moneys worth- Josh would be mad at me all the time, with my kind of schedule.

I think that you will be just fine in your GV, that is what we have booked.

Does the GF have a bar or lounge?

I convinced DH to get a babysitter for one evening (we've never done this before!) and to go to Narcoosees for dinner. The minimum time for the babysitter (Kid's Nite Out) is 4 hours. I don't want to leave the grounds. I know we could stroll around the property, but if we could sit somewhere have a glass of wine that would be lovely.

Thanks,
Mare

Yep! Mizner's Lounge on the 2nd level of the Main Building opens around 5 p.m., and I think is open until at least midnight.

Depending on the time of year, the pool bar might be open as well.

Narcoossee's also has a bar area.

wideeyes, this might sound like heresy on this thread but I would book garden before club level at the GF especially for a nice long stay like yours. You'll be able to enjoy more fine meals, buy more souvenirs, schedule spa treatments or order chocolate strawberries for the room with the money you will save. Or just enjoy the GF. When we have stayed club level at the GF, it has been because that's all that's available when we've booked an accessible room. There aren't that many so we take what we can get. And our only RPC was when we were walked from lagoon view concierge at the Polynesian (not an accessible room that time). We were sorely disappointed to have a courtyard view at the GF when we had booked the stunning lagoon view at the Polynesian. Club level at the GF is nice but not worth the extra money IMHO. And the food offerings would get real old, real fast on a stay of that length. I know there are many fans of club level on this thread. It is nice but really overpriced IMO.
