We are flying for the first time and I think we want to try Southern Elegance to get back and forth to the airport! Do you have contact info for them or can you PM me with it?
Thanks!

Princessrule4:I just made my reservations with Southern Elegance (thanks, Lives4Disney!). I PM'd you the information.

I do have a question regarding pick up times. I have a 5:45 pick up scheduled for a 8:00am flight out of MCO. Is that going to be enough time to get to the airport and through security? The nice man at Southern Elegance didn't really want to tell me what time I should leave, he said everyone has a different idea of what time they should be at the airport :confused3 .

We were only going to allow 2 hours between SE pick up and flight departure. I hope that's enough!

I hope you guys love Southern Elegance. THey are really great.:wizard:

I think we have a 3:30 pick up time for our 5:35 flight home....I usually go about 2 1/2 to 3 hrs before the flight time & we have been ok so far. SE is usually 15 minutes early and waiting downstairs at the Grand, though.

I am getting EXCITED!!!! :dance3:

Channing :)

You should be!!! Are you packing? I'm 2 weeks out and ready to open the suitcase on the bed, and start filling it!!

Hi....question again....does anybody know if the Swan/Dolphin will still transfer luggage to a WDW resort?? Probably the wrong thread but wondering.:confused3

The girls and I changed our flight!!:lmao: We are leaving Thursday morning to stay a nt at the S/D so we can check into the GF earlier than midnight and get the best room possible. The guys will meet us midnight on Friday at the GF!!!

I need a room for Nov 15, haha. Nope no packing going on yet, but I need to step it up now! :cheer2:

Heatherlynn, your trip will be here before you know it. I cannot believe we leave in a few days.:scared1:

Happy planning!

Lives4Disney :)

I just called the Swan they said they DO NOT transfer luggage as they re not a Disney resort.
I am so glad you got a new flight.

Hello, everyone. I have not been on the boards for a while. It seems I blinked and my trip is less than three months away already! I remember reading about Channing's Thanksgiving trip a few months ago and thinking how far away that was!!!

We are staying RPC in February, and I am wondering what kind of view I can expect. What should I request in terms of floor/view for the main building and when should I request it? Do I have hope of possibly getting a castle view?

Thanks in advance.

- Andrea

Channing, have fun on your trip. If you see a Gingerbread house pin, would you pick it up for Rees? I'll send you the money. Thanks!

Channing, I can't believe you changed your flight!!! LOL
Here's hoping it brings you good luck towards room selection!!

Denise - ABSOLUTELY!! :thumbsup2 Is there anything else you might want?? I hope Rees is doing better.

Grannieminnie - ya, I am crazy. I am just worried about that midnight check in during such a busy season.

Arbonnette
, you can have a castle view from RPC if you are in a marina view room over Gasparillas. 4401 - 4409 and 4301 to 4309 are those room numbers for standard RPC rooms w/castle views. The lounge is on the fourth floor so you may like to request 4th. The concierge desks are on the 3rd. There is a corner elevator and a carpeted stair way to use if you're not on the 4th. It's all very convenient. Happy planning

Thanks, Channing. Acutally, no he's not better, and he may be in the hospital for a while as he's losing tons of weight. He is so excited to go to the GF in February. We all really need this trip.

just 26 days  until our 1st stary at the GF and I have a question about Transportation and how to get to MGM and Downtown Disney ... would I just take the bus? I heard Bus transportation at GF is not the greatest.

We are planing on Taking a Taxi to AKL lodge for Breakfast and then catching the bus to AK, but not sure how to talkle MGM and Downtown Disney. Any sugestions?

thank you

Hi, yes you take the bus. I haven't had any transportation issues at all when we've stayed GF. The only thing is that the bus to AK stops at the water parks too on the way there and back and it seems to take a LONG time to get to AK....not that we go to AK much, though, anyway.;)

The resorts I have definitely had bus issues with are the Epcot resorts. UGH.:sad2:

I'm going to be staying in the RPC in May and I've just hit my 180 day booking window. I would like to get reservations for Mother's Day. Should I just call myself or should I send an e-mail to IPO with my request? Some of the previous threads that I've read indicate that many people are not happy with the GF IPO office. That's a little concerning in and of itself considering what it costs to stay concierge. I'm new to the whole concierge scene and I'm hoping some of the concierge experts can give me some advice. Thanks.

Quick question..I see posts about GF bus transportation above..but it really didn't answer my question...so I was wondering if you GF alum could help me out.

What is the best way to get to the other parks (non monorail of course) from GF? Do the buses stop at GF and if so where are the bus stops? OR do we take the monorail to the TTTC and get a bus from there?

Thanks!
