So I did something silly today - I tracked our flight number to see if it's been running on time the past couple of days. It left 2.5 hours late today . So late, in fact, that the flight that leaves 2 hours later got in before this flight. Of course now I'm a nervous wreck worrying about the same thing happening to us. I swear I give myself things to worry about!

Hey, good idea - I forgot that I can see that on JetBlue's site. I just checked and it had a 100% on time record as of February (guess not after today though). Hopefully it was a fluke!

Don't forget the brus fires in the Meadowlands, winds, etc...it will be fine,it will...

LittleStinkerbelle, good luck with the flight, hopefully it will be on time, or maybe even a little early! I love when the plane takes off and the captain comes on and says the flight time will be shorter than you expect, even if it is only 5 or 10 minutes! I don't know what airport you fly out of, we fly out of Newark, which can be a mess. I am taking the 8 AM flight down, so I am hoping to be at the GF before noon!!!

I am bringing my camera and iPad, so I will be taking pictures and posting while I am there. I think WDWKOOK gave us great photos of the construction, but if there is anything specific someone wants to see, let me know.

k&a&c'smom, sounds like you had a housefull for Easter! It's always great when our adult children come home And, I gather a wedding is in the future if younger DS has a finance! Congratulations!

A 100% on time record - yay! Whenever I see anything over 90%, I'm happy. Sounds like you have little to worry about, and can concentrate on your first day activities.

I'm so excited for you, one more sleep and you'll be at the Grand! Before noon is my choice, too, we try to take the first flight whenever it is a non-stop.

Looking forward to your photos, I'll try to remember what I have lately been wishing I had snapped.

We did have a houseful; 4 kids, 4 dogs and a cat! Not to mention the stray my soon-to-be DIL found on one of the dog walks. It took us half a day to get him back to where he belonged.

Yes, we will be having a wedding next year - the kids announced their engagement this past Monday, so exciting!

Wanted to keep you all in the loop who are headed to GF shortly, the monorail is again undergoing closures for "late April and early May." I called again this morning to speak to a different CM, and he did confirm the work would begin 4/30 and continue through early May. The closures are only expected to affect off-peak hours, 11am to 6pm.
It's always helpful to know these things ahead of time so I thought I'd pass along the info! If this is old news, I apologize! It's "new" news to me!

They do plan on accommodating guests via busses and water taxis, and will offer direct water taxis to MK resorts. Per the CM, a GF water taxi will take you directly to Poly.

I love that too! We are flying out of JFK this time around - it's been a while since we've used that airport. We've been using HPN lately but switched it up this time around.

My DH is encouraging all the kids to elope and he'll give them a check for what the wedding will cost Congrats on a new daughter soon to join your wonderful family (how exciting) Any chance for a Disney Wedding

So happy with DH!!! I booked a quick Poly stay at the end of our trip for him (instead of Myrtle Beach) I asked if he'd like to do that, and he LOVED the idea!!! Now he wants to drive straight home....poor guy...but he'd rather have the extra Poly time..I will give him some R&R the last day and take the kiddos out. ALL GOOD

Sadly the construction means no beach, the slide pool is open but the only way to get to the zero entry end is to swim there. Pictures and more details later, I just wanted to say hi!!!

So glad you made it safely! Now I'm not AS upset I changed..... DMIL coming along...DH wants her in her own room...which I am paying for....BUT I was able to book a Sept weekend for HRH and I at RPC....shhhhhhhh....not telling DH yet Love the CY pool view

Relaxing after being at the MK at 8 when it opened. it wasn't crowded and we were able to do what we wanted and come back for a late breakfast and some downtime!

Construction update. WDWKOOK did such a nice job of posting pictures a couple weeks ago, but I thought I could supplement since there has been more work done!

Pool bar is closed. However there is a small counter by the cabanas that you
can get drinks and snacks as well as order from room service.

This is the view of the pool and lagoon from the cabana area. You can see there is no deck to speak of by the zero entry end.

The courtyard pool is now where the children's games and activities are. There are now also lifeguards around the courtyard pool.

That's all I plan on posting about the construction this week unless someone has a specific question. My posts and pictures for the rest of my vacation will be of the GF in all it's glory
