I am trying to plan my ADR now and I would like to know what resorts are the easiest to get to from the Contemporary..via boat..obviously, I know the monorail resorts but I think I heard that the boat goes straight from the CR to Fort Wilderness..is this true and where else would the boat go from CR?

Boat goes to Fort Wilderness and Wilderness Lodge from the CR.

Great thread, thanks for all of the info!

We are planning on staying in the CR in September. This will be our DS's first trip. DD has been there twice. We need to bring DS for his first haircut! We have never stayed at a deluxe and can't wait to be able to walk to the Magic Kingdom. We just think it will make the trip so much less stressful to be able to come and go as we please. We do go to other parks, but the majority of our time is at the MK.

We are going August 4 and have our 'important' dining reservations done, but were wondering if there were any casual places to eat breakfast that usually wouldn't require a reservation that are in the monorail vacinity (in any of the hotels or even the parks). Thanks!

I went to the Poly twice during my stay in September. We did Capt. Cooks first. Great Breakfast, but it was an absolute madhouse. The next time we walked into the lobby and noticed the Kona Cafe was empty. We were able to get a table with no reservation and no wait. Not sure if thats always the case, but I'd say it's certainly worth a look.

No one knows 100% when the Wave will open since it was not been announced, however I would say by August it should be open since the construction of it is taking place right now and the fact that the Concourse Steakhouse will have closed by then. Finally I would assume they would be serving lunch since that is what the Concourse Steakhouse served lunch, so you would think the Wave would also do the same.

Subscribing, we're staying there for the first time since 92 when Hurricane Andrew rolled through. I may have to look at knocking the Dining plan down to the regular but I don't know yet.

No more flu bug for ANY of us. Hope he's feeling better. My kiddos are finally and have been watching Disney planning DVD, old trip videos all day. They are so excited we got the Tower MK view again!

Well, we got 4 nights in the Tower!!! So it's a 4/4 split between the Tower MK view and the Beach Club. My kids are thrilled to get to go to Storm Along Bay and swim too.

I'm so glad you got the MK view for your rescheduled trip! I saw that you had to cancel and felt so bad for all of you.

I'm going to be at CR MK view for three nights in October!

We are booked for Xmas at the CR in a concierge room. This will be our 4th xmas in a row. I am so excited about staying at the CR.

Hey CR fans. On my trip in December, I actually discovered something kind of cool. Everyone probably already knows this, but on the Convention Center level of the Tower (2nd floor) there is a vending machine with REALLY cheap food items as if you were using one at home. The ones on the room floors are VERY pricey, but not this one! I'm assuming they do this for the conventioneers.
