There are elevators right? I want to request a high floor but I don't think I can do stairs after a long day at the park!

Hello,

There are elevators in each building at Coronado, even the 2 story buildings.

Hope that help,s

Take care,

Bill

Has anyone had a king bed room overlooking the lion fountains between Casitas 2 & 3? That's the area I'd like to request but I don't know if there are king beds in that area...

OK. I already have my reservations for CSR and I know I want to be closest to the Dig Site. However, I have an odd question....
If I want a room to be the most "non-Disney", would I want Cabanas or Ranchos? I know that must be an odd question for this board, but DH hates all the commercial aspects of Disney & is going just because he loves his kids (& me). :D So I thought if I picked out the area that is the least Disney, it will help him handle being there for 5 nights. (When DH is happy, the family is happy :p ) Thanks!

I think you'd be fine in any of the sections. None of them say "commercial disney" they are all southwest flvour :) I've stayed in the Cabanas section and the Casitas section. I thought the Casitas section reminded me most of deluxe style accomodations, and the Cabanas were very tropical. The Ranchos look like they have a unique style as well.

Why don't you show your DH pictures of each of the sections and let him choose?

Thanks for the quick reply, Tink. I guess I was most concerned with the actual rooms. I have seen pictures in this thread, as well as of the sites of Epcotfan & Buzz (and TGM) and the outside of all of CSR looks great. However, actual room pictures are not as plentiful. Is there anything in the rooms that might scream Disney? If not, then I know I don't need to worry. Thanks again!

Motaei,

If you go to the very first page of this thread and keep scrolling down, you'll see pictures of the insides of a room. (You said you already saw pix in this thread, but I wasn't sure if you saw the room pix:D )

Out of all the disney resorts I've stayed at, CSR seems the least "Disneyish". Maybe because of the conventioneers and the "grown-up" atmosphere. Plenty of kiddies, although it did not seem "overun" with kids like at the other resorts.

Thanks for all the info. If that is the case, I will not worry about it. It sounds like Ranchos or Cabanas will be just fine, as long as we are close to the Dig Site! I am very excited to stay at CSR. The large hot tub. The long water slide for all 4 kids (praying for warm enough weather). The non-Disney atmosphere (for DH & also the other DW in the other family we're going with). The work-out room. The beauty. Etc..... Only 4+ months to go. :bounce:

Hey all!

I'll be staying at CSR in 27 days!! Yippeee!!!! :Pinkbounc

Anyway I have a couple of questions:

1.) Is there an alarm clock? If so, does it have a radio?

2.) Do the room automatically have an iron and ironing board or do you have to ask?

3.) Has anyone used the Business Center at CSR? Specifically, is there any way to get both internet and printer access?

Thanks!

We stayed at CSR in early July in Casitas and I believe we did have a clock radio in the room - didn't really use it, left a wake-up call instead (something about receiving a call from Mickey in the morning that adds to the magic).

I don't honestly remember if there was an iron or not. We did use the business center to ship some things home and I recall seeing internet connections available, am not sure about printer access. There was a fee for the internet use (hi speed connection-you need a NIC card in your computer). Have a great trip!!!

Does anyone have a floor plan of the Jr. suites.
I would like to know the lay out and how they fit 6 people.
Thanks:D

maine_jennifer -

1) yes there are clock radios with alarms in the room, but trust me, the wake up calls are soooo magical!! We do a wake up call and then set the alarm for 5 to 10 minutes after in case we miss it LOL

2) Yes to my knowledge there is at least an Ironing board in every room, you may have to request the iron, or it may already be there I can't remember as we don't use it. Though I do remember seeing it

3) Sorry, I've never used the business centre so I can't help you there!

Dalpal

To my knowledge the Jr. Suites can only fit 4 ppl. The set up is 2 adjoining rooms., one with a king bed and the other with a pull down or Murphy bed, (a double I believe) The advantage is having 2 bathrooms as well as 2 tvs and more space. There is also a desk with a fax machine I believe and the ability to hook up a laptop in the room with the Murphy bed.

Hello all! Thank you for this great information. My husband and I are going to WDW in August - it will be my first time! We are staying at the CSR - we just randomly picked it but now I'm glad we did! I have one question. We won't be checking in until later (early evening). They won't give our room away, will they? We have no real preferences as to where we end up - we like to be surprised. BUT, we do want a room!
Thanks again!

TinkerBelle_325,
I just booked a Jr. suite and the CM said it will take 6 people. I was looking at the pics I could find on them and could not figure out how. So I thought a floor plan would clear that up for me.

maine_jennifer,
When we stayed there two yrs ago the rooms had both board and iron. I used them everyday. It was in the room, I did not have to ask for it.

Dalpal, if you don't mind me asking, what did they give you for a rate?

Thanks!

It was $315. rack rate, but $325. to us rack rate, because the 6th parson is my sister. So I have to pay for the extra adult.
I am an AP holder so I am hoping for an AP rate before we go. Its not until 6/04 so I have time.
If not Ill just have to go for two rooms.

Hello again!

I know Maya Grill opens at 7 am for breakfast but does the Pepper Market open any earlier?
