You're Welcome to everyone who has thanked us for the thread. So many people contribute to it and I'd like to thank them as well :) CSR is a total passion of mine and I felt that there wasn't enough info about it on these boards.

Anyways, I leave in less than a week!!!!!!! :) I have to fax my room request on Friday, I'm sooooooo pumped!

Have a great time Tinkerbelle! Come back with a full report and pics are a plus! :)

Hope you have a great trip TinkerBelle_325...can't wait for you to return so you can tell us even more about CSR. :)

Add me to the list of Coronado Springs fans! I just got back and I absolutely loved it...I'm not sure I'll even try another resort!

We're going to Coronado Springs in 2 days!! :)
Our daughter (turning 22 on Sunday) is having a big birthday bash at our house  so we are getting out of town!
We got a good Florida Resident rate and we are looking forward to enjoying this great resort.
We haven't renewed our annual passes yet so we will just be relaxing and hanging out.
We'll probably go to PI one night and maybe have dinner at Flying Fish or Spoodles. Or maybe Palios. Or House of Blues.
;)
We know we will have a nice mini vacation getaway at CSR, it IS a wonderful resort! :)

Hello fellow CSR fanatics, I am CRAZY about this place and I haven't even been yet!:o :p

My husband and I have been married for almost a year (one year on Sept. 1st) and will FINALLY be taking our looonnngg awaited honeymoon to Disney from September 8th to September 12th. My husband is in the military and we were not able to go on our honeymoon right after the wedding due to financial restrictions and his military obligations.

We had originally booked an off site (LBV Hawthorn Suites), but I decided I wanted to experience the TRUE Disney honeymoon and stay on-site. Can you believe my husband and I have never, ever been to Disney!

ANYWAYS...here is my question. After looking at tons of pictures of CSR and doing a lot of research, I have decided that I want to stay in either the Casitas or Ranchos. I don't like the decor of the Cabanas (too bright).

So, if you had to choose between the two, which would you want. I like the darker, muted shades of the Ranchos the best, but also love the location of Casitas. We booked a water view room, if that makes any difference. Ummm what else, we would like a fairly quiet area, although from what I heard the who resort is quite large and a little less noisy than others.

Also-I plan on sending in a request for the Casitas or Ranchos about four days before we arrive. Is that still something that guests practice, or should I call the reservation line and have them add it on my res?

So, give me your expert advice! I welcome it with open arms!:D

Hi sdrinon,

yes...guests still fax in requests.

Try Ranchos 7b. Closest to the main pool area, surrounds the quiet pool and close to bus stop #4. The resort is large but nothing outrageous.

A few pages back I posted distances from different locations.

Have a great honeymoon!

Hello, I am new to this site and am thrilled with all of the information out here. I have been trying to read through all the posts on CSR, but since I am at work it was taking a little too much time since I was enjoying it so much :p I apologize if this question was already asked.

I am planning a trip for December 2004. Will have an almost 4 and an almost 2 year old with us. Last year stayed at GF and ended up having early nights because DD was in the same room and would go to sleep early. Wouldn't sleep with light on and is a light sleeper so we couldn't even watch tv. Does CSR have connecting rooms? I am torn between the Wilderness Cabins and CSR since two rooms at CSR would be about the same price as a cabin and would give us two bedrooms. Just want to make sure they have connecting rooms and hear about anyone's experiences with doing it this way.

Thanks!

This is a great thread-tons of info on the resort. On Feb 20/04,the resort will be invaded by approx. 2000 sun-starved Canadians, for the National Conference of all the owners and Store managers of Shopper's Drug Mart. (For those of our U.S. friends who don't know us, we are the Walgreen's of Canada- 900 stores! Of course, both before and after the conference, most of the attendees will have their families there for a vacation.
This could push the number to almost 3,000, although they won't obviously be staying all at CSR.
My question is regarding the "Parlour Room" our T.A has booked for my clan. Because we are 5, we can't get away with just a standard room. Is a Parlour room the same as a Junior suite? Judging by the price USD $195/nite (convention rate), I suspect not. Anyone know? I've seen elsewhere on the site that there are 30 such Parlour rooms =anyone know which part of the resort they are located? Or are there some in each section?

Any help appreciated!

P.S How do you put that countdown timer in your messages?

CSR does have connecting rooms. We had them on 2 of our trips.

The cabins are great too. We stayed there on one trip because of the reason you mentioned, cheaper than 2 rooms but that was before I found out about mousesavers.com.

Check out my CSR website below for more info.

Thank you so much Buzz2001. Your website is wonderful and so are the links to the other sites. I am starting to get really excited about CSR....too bad I have to wait so long.

Go to the technical support board (from the message board home page). There is a thread (it's one of the very first few) that says "Get your countdown here" (or something similar). It has all the instructions on how to get the countdown. Good luck!

I was in the UK for the summer, but I'm back and looking forward to my first Coronado stay in October!

Two food questions: I've read somewhere that if Pepper Market food is ordered as take-out, there is no gratuity added. True?

And, also, do any pizza chains in Orlando (Domino's, Papa John's, etc...) bring take-out as far as the Disney resorts?

Any info on cheap eats at CSR would be appreciated.

True! But make sure you tell the hostess it is for take out. They use different cards.

Not sure.

Does anyone know if CSR has an official Walt Disney World® Theme Park Ticket Window? My husband and I want to take advantage of the Military Salute discount, but you have to buy them at a Theme Park Ticket Window?

If they don't have one, do you know where we would go to get one? Thanks for your help! ;)

I don't know if they consider it an OFFICIAL window but they have a desk across from the check-in desk that sells theme park passes. You can call CSR at 407-939-1000 and ask.

I'm considering going here for a vacation with my girlfriend and I was wondering if the rooms have air conditioning because everywhere I look I see rooms with a fan. Anyone? Thanks.

Yes all rooms at Coronado Springs have air conditioning and ceiling fans.
