It's one of my favorite resorts to stay in. It isn't as nice looking as say the Floridian but I will take the customer service any day at the CSR over most of the other resorts. Have a great time! :cool1:

Hi everyone,
I'm not sure if this is the right thread for this question but since you guys are the CSR masters, I know you can point me in the right direction. :)

I am going to be spending my honeymoon at CSR at the beginning of May. Well, I would like to try and have a little something in the room when we arrive. I know that there is the Disney Florist and I have looked at some of their stuff online but nothing really screams at me. I'm wondering if I were to call CSR, if they can put a little something in our room. I don't really know what I am exactly looking for but definately not flowers. He might not appreciate. He's a great guy but not into flowers. :rotfl:

Thanks for all your help!!

They will deliver balloons and a card, at no charge, but I don't know about anything other than that. I know that you can get chocolate dipped strawberries from the in-room service menu, as well, but I don't know how they are presented. Hopefully Buzz can get you more info! :goodvibes

Thanks hockeybabe.... Great idea. I'm sure I can call them directly when we get closer to the date and ask them. I'm thinking I can order the strawberries and pay with my credit card before we arrive. I'm soo excited...

Thanks all for the great information. We are out of here tomorrow afternoon!!!!!!! Can't wait!

I was just looking at the map and realized there are only two quiet pools..so if you stay at casitas 1 its close to el centro but far away from the quiet pool and laundry..we stayed in cabanas last year9b and it was awesome ,my mom has bad knees and cannot walk far so it was really close to everything...I wanted to try casitas this time but I'm afraid the walk to anything will be too far for all of us...I never realized there were not more quiet pools...cbr has alot more...but I like csr...I don't know what to do now..what to do ..what to do...hmmmmm...

There are three quite pools - one by Casita 4 - my favorite Rancho 7b area and Cabana 9b area. Knee bothered me when I was there in October of this year...took full advantage of the inter resort tranportation carts.

We can't wait for tomorrow :cool1: My kids don't know and think that we are going to Papa's house for a short Christmas visit. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: . We are so excited. :earboy2: :cloud9:

Thanks to all the people on this board I have really gotten excited about this resort. I hope that the parks are not so crowded that we can't move around. That would be very disappointing. I am kinda concerned about the weather, but it is florida so maybe it will just be a passing storm. :umbrella:

As our trip is getting closer, I keep thinking of more things to ask about :)

Our group is staying as part of a convention--is there traditionally an area of the resort used for convention groups, or will the rooms be scattered all over the resort? I'm guessing that I can't make any sort of request at all, since I have no control over any of the booking process....which is driving me nuts, LOL!

As you can see by my signature, I have stayed at CSR twice. I enjoyed it both times. It's really conveniently located to all the parks.

We're arriving on the 14th also and our kids don't know either. They think they are getting to go with dad on a work trip. I'm not sure if my kids can be any more excited than I am. I just can't wait!

Usually in the casitas but depending on the size of the convention they can be scattered all over the resort.

I wanted to thank everyone for their advice and info - especially Mario, who should be getting commission from CSR!!! I wanted to share some of my experiences with everyone and answer any questions you may have about this BIG, beautiful, fun resort.

Cast: DW, DD11,DD7,DS6, DD2 & Me
Ranchos 6A Rm 6151 & 52
Dates – 12/3 – 12/10
Weather – Mostly cloudy during the day, highs in the upper 60/low 70. Nights down to high 50/low 60s. 1 Full day of rain (12/8 – did EPCOT)

Resort Good Points – CSR is absolutely beautiful and BIG. The main pool (Dig Site) was a favorite of my kids and was entertaining by itself. Everything was in one complex – pool, playground, archede, and kiddie pool. There was also a bar and counter service food. The main eating area (Pepper Market) had the best tasting food we have ever had at WDW. Curtain divinding the bedroom area and bathroowm area was a great idea, we made that the nursery.

Rooms were very spacious, we never felt jammed in! We also requested and got adjoining rooms, which was a big help.

Resort Bad Points – CSR is BIG. They offer transportation around the resort on golf carts, however, getting around with little ones is difficult to begin with. DW and me would definitely stay there again, but without the kids. Pepper Market was confusing, slow, and very – very – very expensive. Kids orders were pre-cooked so they could just eat. DW and I had to wait for our food and then make them wait until we finished – so things were a little rushed. At other resorts all the food was ready about the same time so we ate more as a family.

Lessons Learned:
We usually go during Hurricane season, so the crowd (well what we consider a crowd) was a little shock to us (we were told that CSR was the only MOD with rooms available). We had heard that this was even less crowded than our usual time, however, I think the word got out and everyone came down for Christmas.

CSR is a great resort with DELUX services at MOD prices. We believe it is really great resort for adults and juniors (12+). We would probably return, but not until the youngest is able to swim and play on her own.

Let me know if you have any questions or need additional info. Time to start planning the next trip.....

thanks! I think this convention has about 1500 attendees in all, and everyone is booked at CSR. Looking forward to it! In all our trips to WDW, we've never stayed there!

Welcome back! Glad you had a great time! I agree with you points. It could be difficult to navigate the PM with little ones. My DD is 12 so she feels like a big shot being able to go around and pick out the food and get her card stamp. My DD was 5 the first time we went.

You will probably be all over the resort with 1500 attendees.

that's what I was afraid of....but, we can handle that when we get there! Hopefully the 21 people in our group will be placed together...we won't know that until we check in.

thanks again for all the advice and tips!

I realize check in is at 3pm for CSR, but I have never stayed there. Can we store our luggage there until checkin as we will be arriving early in the morning? TIA.

Yes, you can check in your luggage with bell services.

Just a quick note. Back from Coronado springs. Loved the resort, loved everything about it. I'll post more later..................
