Re: room numbers, I always read/heard you were NOT supposed to request room numbers, because the chances of them getting you a specific room are slim and none (they may look, see that room is occupied, and put you someplace else entirely) but chances of getting a specific building are very good.
That said, my mom and dad went to Coronado last spring, requested building 9B, and got room 9622, a water view on the back side of the building.
We went down in August of the same year, also requested building 9B when we booked, and we ALSO got room 9622 when we arrived! What are the odds? I never mentioned my parents going down when I booked our room, and my last name is different from theirs so there was no real way this could have been anything but a coincidence! But it certainly was a fun one, and they had no problem remembering what room we were in all week.
