Not at all. None of the stops get too bad because the resorts convention guests don't use the buses during the day since they are busy at work.

Your 'convention' thread doesn't have anything listed for when we will be there...will there still be alot of business guests, even if there isn't a convention at CSR?

We stayed at CSR in Cabanas 8A in July, and had nothing but great bus experiences. 8A, like the other Cabanas buildings, is closest to bus stop 4. That is the 3rd bus stop for park-bound buses, but we never rode on a full bus, much less a crowded bus. Even returning to the resort right after the nighttime parades, fireworks & Spectromagic, the CSR buses were not crowded. The bus situation at CSR is truly wonderful!

The buses really are a great feature.

Can someone tell me about the lounge at CSR? Is it a nice place to hang out and relax with hubby after a long day at the parks?

The indoor lounge (Francisco's) is still closed until 10/12 according to the DIS rehab/closure site. The renderings look nice though. It was a great place but now it will be even bigger and better. There is a outdoor lounge (which I happen seen in person) but looks good in the pictures. It must be nice to have a drink at night overlooking the lake with the light glimmering of the water.

What delicious drinks does Francisco's service besides Margaritas- too strong for me!! I like the idea of relaxing after a long day at the parks.

We just returned from CSR. We were in 6a which wasn't bad. Nice and quiet actually. A little walk to the Dig pool but not bad. We ended up with 2 joining rooms and one by itself. Rooms were fine and it was nice having a fridge in the room. Had a few problems with the housekeeping staff but front dest helped in that area. We liked the resort but would probably not go back because of the convention people. We were at Peppers Market for lunch (actually 3 p.m.) and they would seat the convention people leaving several families waiting by the side. Really angered some of my party. They kept saying they were looking for tables for 5 and 7 (two different groups with ours being 7 people) but they were seating parties of 6 and 7 convention people. I guess the tables for 7 were different kinds if you were with a convention. We did like the locality of the Resort. It seemed to be close to everything.

We're heading for our first stay at CSR in a little under two months. Quick question about the bus stops: has anyone ever had trouble getting a spot on a bus at Bus Stop 1 (main building stop) since it's the last stop on the way to the resorts?

Out of nine trips to CSR and the 100's of times on the bus, only once did we have to stand on an AM bus going to Epcot from bust stop #1.

OK Buzz2001 - tell us what not to miss at this resort on our trip....... We will be there 12/21 through 12/28.

This is our first trip to this resort and also our first trip to WDW at Christmas (previous years trips in May and Aug at POP and ASMU). So at the CBR - what should we definitely set time aside for?

What is the best photo op at this resort?

Also we do have one ADR dinner for the Maya Grill - what can you recommend there?

thanx

i have a question about the refillable mugs. i'm going to be staying at CSR in december and i'm wondering if the mugs are still emblazoned with the three cabs/pepper market or have they since switched to the generic YOMD design?

We just got back on Sept.29 and they still had the 3 caballaros design.

Same mugs. The Pepper Market is not run by WDW so they have not switched to the YOMD mugs.
