Hi all,
Does anyone know if they have life vests to rent at the pool for the kids or if we should bring our own?

Thanks!

I've just switched our ressies for Nov from POFQ to CSR!! I've stayed at POFQ before but these boards convinced me to try something new and we're very excited. Does anyone know if there is a hair wrap station? On the resort information page for this site it mentions that there is one at the Dig Site pool area, but I don't recall seeing that info anywhere else. Just was curious if anyone knows for sure. Thank you!

Hey everyone! First time poster. Booked at CSR for the second time. Last time we didn't request a certain area of the resort (standard room) and we were in cabanas far far far away from almost everything.

This time I booked again through aavacations.com (gotta get extra FF miles ya know?) and wonder if I can now call WDW reservations and put in a plug for the cabana area nearest the main building? We are heading there the middle of May.

IOW, how is it we make requests for certain areas of CSR after the initial reservation online?

There was but it has been closed. It didn't really make sense being there since most kids went in the pool and to get hair wrapped, it had to be dry.

Does anyone know if the poll area becomes very crowded? If so what time of day does this happen?
It usually isn't that bad. These photos are at 10:30am of Easter/spring break 2006 week. You get the folks that get up early to save tables but there are quite a few. By noon it picks up. Being a convention resort really helps with the crowds on the buses and at the pool.

Here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building.

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building.

Thank you Buzz! Do i call WDW now (7 weeks before our trip) and request a certain building or do I wait until check-in to request? I made the reservations online and couldn't request anything other than standard room.

Call now and add it to your reservation.

If you booked through a travel agent, or through an airline package deal, you may need to call up the TA in order to add your room request to your reservation. If you booked online directly with WDW, then you should be able to add your request when you log on to the site -- or you can always call them up and ask them to add it to your reservation.

Enjoy your trip!

Thanks! I always assume people book on their own.

No prob. Having now been to WDW and knowing now how easy it would have been to book everything on my own, I would definitely book my stay online directly with WDW in the future. But I went through a TA for my trip in January, and I remember being told by WDW that any special requests for my room would need to be placed through my TA. I couldn't even find my reservation online when I tried to log on! (For the little control freak in me, this was a bit of a sore point since I like knowing that the info is always at my fingertips and booking with a TA meant having to go through her for everything related to my reservation... I probably drove her nuts with all of my emails)

Hi, do all the buildings at CSR have a water view or just some. I am wondering if you pay for the view if you increase your odds to end up where you want to be?? Does that make sense?

Thanks Buzz2001 for the hair wrap info. I never thought about it like that, but it does make a lot of sense that the hair should be dry.

Disney considers fountains and quiet pools as waterview also some many do have waterview but some do not. You can really tell by the map on my website. Rancho 6a, 6b and 7a and the backside of the casitas and cabanas (except 9b) buildings do not have waterviews.

We made our reservations online and have a king bed... is it worth calling this far in advance to request a certain room since there is only a fraction of the hotel with king beds?? (the trip is over 2 months away)

Can you request rooms this far away or should I wait until it gets closer?

Yes, the king beds are spread out among all the different sections.
