Small mug is $11.95 and the large mug is $19.95. Mugs can be refilled at the Pepper Market, the small take out window outside the Pepper Market entrance, Francisco's (the bar) and Siestas (pool side).

Items for the CSR refillable mug. Sorry for the blurry pic.

That's great! Maybe we will see you there. What are your dates? Ours are Nov 29- Dec. 6. Wednesday to Wednesday. Do you know which buidling you want to stay in? First I was thinking Cabanas, but after looking at Buzz's pictures I'm leaning toward Casitas. They look really interesting and pretty.
We don't spend much time at the hotel, so we don't need to be close to anything except a busstop. We usually only hit the pool once for about and hour, just so DD can say she went swimming. Well, have fun planning and have a great trip! :sunny:

We are leaving for CSR in 10 days! I requested Cabanas 9B with my travel agent. I am pregnant and wanted to be as close as possible to El Centro. Would it be worth it to call and have this noted on my reservation or will the request I already made (without stating I am pregnant) be as good as I can get?

Stayed Fri & Sat night this last weekend, Cabana 9B, 2nd Floor overlooking lagoon.

Pros - Excellent value for the buck, pool, hammocks, playground at pool area for kids (probably under 6), location to MGM, AK and Epcot, rooms were updated, clean and quiet with a small fridge.

Cons - bus service is inconsistent with times (i.e. may have 3 Blizzard Beach buses that are empty to each MK bus that is packed), had a horrible experience going to MK with the wait and people with older children cutting in front of us. That said, we had a terrific experience coming back from MK with the bus there and leaving immediately where we had no wait, so YMMV. Pepper Market food is below average with the Disney $$ premium price, I cannot recommend Pepper Mkt for dinner. Rooms can be quite far from elevators.

Even with the bus service, if you're staying at Coronado - go to MK on the bus. If you drive, it is a timely experience to actually get there (parking = parking lot train = bus or monorail). I would recommend at the bus stop to stand up (at least the dad's) near where the bus will pull up. People are ruthless and could care less how long you have been waiting for the bus. The bus may stop prior to where you think it will stop due to another bus in front loading people to go to a different park. I really think Disney needs to set up a queue (i.e. specific lines for MK, AK, Epcot, MGM, etc). I cannot reiterate how surprised I was to see adults and their children cut in front of several families with some of these single mothers with children.

If you feel like driving to the other parks besides MK (we drove to Epcot) it is quite easy and fast, but be forewarned - signage is bad, you have to really look out for the signs.

For the money, it was a great experience and Coronado Springs will be part of our rotation in the upcoming years of visits.

I made the request to be in 9B during the ressie phone call and at check-in it was noted, so hopefully your travel agent made a note of it. I would recommend you ask for the ground floor.

Glad you enjoyed CSR overall!! Sorry about your experience with the transportation and Pepper Market. We love the food there but it always seems to be a love it or hate it eatery. It's always a must do for us.

We've never encounter bad bus service in all of our nine trips to CSR (knock on wood) so hopefully on your next stay it will be improved. Can't blame the rudeness of the guests (cutting in front of you) on the resort. Welcome back!

Agreed, absolutely do not blame resort on the actions of the guest. The only way around this is to stay at a resort that you do not need bus service (i.e. Contemporary, GF, Poly, WL or FW). However, each of these are much more expensive. The way I'll handle it is the next time at a 'bus only' resort, I will be much more proactive in the way I utilize transportation. I won't be rude, but will be fair where as our family boards the bus in front of the would be cutters.

Coronado is a terrific Disney Resort!

I would have them note it on the reservation. I've had trouble getting my requests there, and if they know that it could help. Good luck! :wizard:

Are you able to see the fireworks from CSR?

Are there any other tips... gotta see/do... secrets about CSR?

you can see some of the fireworks from CSR, especially from casita 4 and 5 which face in that direction and from the path around the lake.

We'll be going to CS for our first visit starting on 11/24/06; just DH and myself.

I've been reading everything on this resort and it looks very nice. This is the only Mod we have yet to stay at.

We will have a car and are planning on arriving at the resort mid morning and not doing any parks that day. We will want to stay at the resort and rest and enjoy the ambiance. :goodvibes

A couple of questions - which area should we request. We'd like to be near the quiet pool and not far from the Dig Site - since we want to experience that too. We also want to be near the food area.

Looking at a map, it looks like Casitas building 4 might be a good area. What experiences do you folks have with this area?

The casitas are my favorite section of CSR. The landscaping and theming are beautiful and in the evening when the lights are on and the fountains are flowing it is breathtaking. You will love this area.
