Buzz2001, someone told me to ask you this question.

What is going on for construction at CSR, how is it impacting guests?
We're going to be there June 24th-June 29th.

Thanks for your help. I love all the information you give on CSR. This is our first time staying at this resort and we're really looking forward to it.
Francisco's is being enlarged. The arcade is being removed to make way for a larger lounge area for Francisco's and La Tienda will be moving into the front part of the arcade space once it is ready. There is a second arcade poolside. CSR just completed a new lounge outside on the promenade too.

We are heading down to CSR in 2 weeks:banana: Are there life vests at the main pool there for my kids to use? I know June is a busy month - will there be enough if they have them? Or should I bring my own?
Thanks!

They do have life vests at the pool. When my DD was still using them we could check them out for the length of our stay, I don't know if they still do this. What I can say is that during the summer months they go quickly. If you have room I would pack one just in case.

When I was there last year you had to go to the bike/boat rental place to get them. Which is near the main building. You can take them out for the length of stay. They did not have any by the pool. Have a great trip!:thumbsup2

As far as I am aware, they have them poolside. There is a box that holds them by the snack bar. You may have to ask because it is locked.

When I was there last November I went to the pool and didn't see the box. I asked the bartender and he told me I had to go the marina. That is where I got mine for the week. It did seem a bit odd that they weren't by the pool. Anyhow, that is where I got mine.:)

I have just booked a 5 night stay for my wonderful boyfriend and myself for Oct. There are no king rooms avail at this time, but I was curious if anyone knows what buildings (or at least what type of building) they are located in. Sorry if this has already been addressed. So many pages to scan and so little time...

The 124 king bed rooms are spread out among all the buildings.

We have a ressie in September and yes I'm a smoker who now needs to be close to a designated smoking area. Does anyone know where these areas at CSR are yet? I need to put in a new room request, I now know I want to be ground floor, but need to put in an area. Any help would be appreciated!

I'm curious about smoking at the pool. Is it still allowed in the designated areas or is it banned altogether? And are people allowed to smoke as they are walking to and from the main building or is this also banned?

Question about transportation from CSR to a few of our ADR's -
We are going in September

Best way to get to Chef Mickey's for Breakfast - at Cont.?
Best way to get to Ohana for dinner - at Poly?

The rest are at the parks - TIA!!!

Oh - and we have smaller children, 6 and 4, do you find it difficult to go to a park in the morning - come back to CSR for a break and back out at evening or do you find that is too much on the bus back and forth?

TIA again!!!:)

MGM - Bus Stop 2 (2nd to last) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
AK - Bus Stop 8 (middle) - 6 min ride once leaving resort
MK - Bus Stop 10 (1st) - 10 min ride once leaving resort
Epcot - Bus Stop 7 (2nd) - 7 min ride once leaving resort
BB - Bus Stop 6 (middle) - 3 min ride once leaving resort

Depending on which stop you get on the bus at CSR, it will add approx 5 more mins to the numbers above.

We are going in Sept this year - are these bus stops still accurate! This is WONDERFUL information - I've been trying to plan our back and forth with park hoppers!

Has anyone ever gotten a taxi at CSR? We are thinking of doing the surf lessons at Typhoon Lagoon and need to be there at 6:30am. I just wanted an idea of how much is would cost.

Thanks!
Lisa

For Chef Mickey's, take the bus to MK and walk over to the Cont. If you are the only people on the bus, the driver will sometimes take you directly to the Cont.

For the Poly, do the same thing as above and then hop on the monorail.

Other option is a cab which will be about $10.00 plus tip.

CSR has some of the best transportation I've experienced at WDW. You shouldn't have a problem other than park closings. The buses can get crowded.

There are usually taxi's at CSR because it is a convention resort. Not sure of the cost to TL but it only cost me $5.75 from the YC to CSR and $10.00 from the Cont. Plus tip of course.

Don't have that info yet.

My boyfriend and I took mid day breaks from the parks a lot on our trip at CSR. The longest bus ride is probably about 10 minutes or so and the buses run really efficiently. We never found it to be a waste of time :)
