Will be visiting CSR Sept 19th to the 27th and can't wait. I'm a bit upset the lounge will closed off especially since my boyfriend mentioned he wanted to know if there was any place in the resort we could get late night drinks. Since the lounge is closed for refurb will there be any other place at the resort to get alcoholic drinks before bed?

Thanks for all the general information! We are staying at CSR for 4 nights in June and it was great to see all the pics!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We leave June 2nd, taking mom and dad, their first time, and the 3 kids. Is there any way to find out what part of the resort we are staying at before we get there? We asked for a room close to things, dad has some medical problems, and thought we might have a heads up as to how far we are from everything.

I doubt it. My understanding is that any request is just that and you get what's available. We were there Easter break and requested Cabanas (specifically 8A and 9B due to their proximity to the pool) and we were put in the Ranchos, although we were still almost as close to the pool and were a short walk to the bus stop.

I am pretty sure that Typhoon Lagoon shares a bus with Downtown Disney from/to CSR. We did that last year, but it wasn't bad.

Yes, we were just there in April and there was a Downtown Disney/Typhoon Lagoon bus and TL was the first stop but that may have been because of the time of day (10:30am or so).

Here are some good building choices.

Cabana 9b is close to bus stop 1 and the main building with a short walk to the Dig Site (main pool) over the wooden bridge. Most convenient location and most preferred.

Cabana 8a is close to the Dig Site (and playground) and bus stop 4 with a short walk to the main building. (Closest to the Pool)

Cabana 8b and 9a are in between the 2 above. 9a has a quiet pool and is also a smoking optional building (until June 1st).

Ranchos 7b has a quiet pool, is close to the Dig Site and bus stop 4 with a bit longer walk to the main building. 7b is behind cabana 8a.

Casita 3 has great courtyard and fountain views but you will have to walk or ride the internal shuttle to get to the pool.

Casita 5 has some nice fountain and lake views and is close to the Dig Site but farther from the main building.

Thanks bab31 and Mrs. Mud. We are certainly looking forward to it. Thanks for the info on ME, that helps a bit with the planning. This is our first time using it and I am unsure how it all works.

yesmylove, you can't move the beds together, I don't think. At least we couldn't when we stayed at CBR for our honeymoon or this last time at WL. But lets hope that we both can score those king bed rooms!!! We will be there at the same time as you, celebrating our 10th anniversary. Congrats on your 25th!!

Thanks again everyone for all the help and info. Muchos gracias!!!

Were also staying during that time, first time at CSR. My best friend and I are going.
Although, i have to wait for her flight to get in so we can check in together for the DDP.
Will they let me hang out at the pool without a room key?

Yes, you can hang out by the pool.

Looking to book CSR for the week 10/06-10/13, can anyone tell me if children can enjoy the waterslide at the Dig Site with a life jacket.?

My 4 year old son is a good swimmer but I would feel more comfortable knowing he could wear a safety device......Plus I don't want him to be devestated if I don't allow him to go down w/o one.

Thanks in advance.

Why would king beds be sold out Sept 7-15th? We are booked at CSR for free dining and no king beds available. I even checked on disney's website and plugged in our dates with and without free dining and even changed some dates around...still nothing. There are kings available at CBR.

Any idea of why this might be?

Thanks!

Because there are only 124 of them. It's not a lot when you consider there are 1,921 rooms.

I was thinking that but I've checked for almost every other time of the year where the resort had availability, there were king beds available. I just thought that was strange being that Sept is one of the slowest times of the year. Maybe they are holding some for a convention?

sit tight and keep trying... the kings may become available when convention reservation deadlines pass.

I thought the Pepper Market had a little bar counter?? I could have sworn I was behind people in line getting wine/beer there. They also sell some alcohol at the gift shop. I just stop at SuperTarget in the trip in and buy a 6-pack along with the other supplies.

This sounds like a lovely resort. However, I am concerned about the size of it. I think I would love it as long as I had a good room location. I know that no request is guaranteed though. This makes me a little nervous about trying it. What do you think buzz?

Woohoo Booked our Disneymoon at CSR for Oct 7-13. We stayed there last year in april and loved it so much we are staign there again. Love the pool area and the nice walk to Elcentro. Peper market was great aswell.
The bus service was by far the best part of CSR.:thumbsup2

Oh yeah. The big 100. Hit the 100 mark in posting , go me.
