There are 124 king rooms at CSR out of 1,924 total rooms. The 124 are scattered among the 3 villages and most king rooms have some sort of handicap accessiblity feature.

Thanks Buzz..Just wanted to know if there was a method to the madness or if I should be requesting something particular (though Cabanas 9b looks like a good spot! :0) )

Can't wait...LESS then a month to go!!! You and your photos have really hit a spot with me...I love POR and thought it was gorgeous but no photos have the look anf feeling that CSR's have...It'll be just DH and I, so the ambience looks perfect!   :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

My DW and I just love it there. There is nothing better than walking around the resort at night when its all lit up. I don't think there is a better resort for the way CSSR looks at night. Simply breathtaking!! Don't forget to visit the hammocks. Have a great trip!!

Does anyone know a way to see which conventions will be at CSR?
I usually search Google by typing "CORONADO SPRINGS CONVENTION 2006" or whatever year you want. You may have to go through a few pages.

Here is what I found

Managing SAP Projects
October 16-18, 2006

Learning 2006
November 5-8, 2006

National Scholastic K-12/Collegiate Chess Championship
December 8–10, 2006

Gear-Up Seminar - Magic Week
December 12-16, 2006

NSCS
January 3-5, 2007

VNU Learning Expo
February 26-28, 2007

Hi; I am a newbie here and am so happy I found this forum. I usually participate in cruise forums. Anyway, my wife and I have just made reservations for CSR for June 10-16 2007. Last time we were at Disney World was the year before we built our log home. That was 1996 and stayed at CBR. The time before that was for our Honeymoon in 1989 and stayed at Fort Wilderness cabins.

We like quit and peaceful areas. So, after much research we booked the following:
1. Ranchos section
2. King room
3. Top floor
4. Non-smoking.
5. Magic your way plus dining.

So, from the experts, is the Ranchos section the least noisy area then the others? Did we do good with our booking?

Looking forward to your input.. By the way, Mario, I LOVE your website. I have been there many times and got a lot of info from it. It is also on my "favorites" list. Thanks for a great job.

So, from the experts, is the Ranchos section the least noisy area then the others? I've found all sections to be quiet. Never had an issue with noise in any of the sections. I've stayed in all 3. Rancho 6b is nice. No parking lot views, but no water either. The backside is many woods and the front is the rancho dessert theme.

Did we do good with our booking? It's all in the eye of the beholder.

By the way, Mario, I LOVE your website. Thanks!!

I tossed around resorts ....I was driving myself crazy.... Made the decision ...CSR....Feel really at peace that I made the right decision, It is just DH and I. You did great!

Hi All!

I called WDW reservations last week to make reservations at CSR for 9/14/07-9/20/07 (yes, 2007). I wanted a water view room with 2 double beds. There were NONE available. Nor were there any non-view rooms with 2 double beds. I asked the reservation agent what was up with that considering I was booking over a year in advance. She told me that since this is a convention resort they haven't released the double-bed rooms yet. I thought this was ridiculous.

Does anybody out there have any insight into this problem? Do you know when they are likely to release the water view/2 double bed rooms?

They did have King water view rooms available and Jr. Suites available - but no rooms with 2 double beds. I thought that rooms with 2-double beds were the norm at CSR.

Also, does CSR typically have rooms with the AAA rate available? Since they didn't have the type of room available when I called they were unable to tell me if a AAA rate was available.

Thanks for any and all insight!

Best,
Tracey

Never heard that before, that this far in advance. Sept is usually a slower month too.

We reserved our room with a AAA rate. Since no AP rates were available for our time, the AAA was the next best thing.

I wold continue to call back to see if they have any cancellations.

Just returned from 11 days in WDW. Glad to be home! Just wanted to let you all know that our first 4 nights were at CSR and even though we thought the resort was nice and were fine with our room (8A, 2nd floor facing the Ranchos), we were not at all impressed with the service. Just not as top notch as CBR.
We also stayed at the Swan and CBR. Our 4 nights at the Swan went down to 1 because of the room (smell and not fans), so we added 3 nights to our prexisting 2 at CBR. Felt sooo much better there. The crowds were too high for us, we've been spoiled in the past with walking onto things.

Hi Buzz!

I've been reading the Dis since April 2005 and love your comments and pictures!

I stayed at CSR last Oct & Dec and am going back November but am on a tight budget. My friend and I are going, no kids, and would like to have a few beers after the parks close (real early compared to the summer months!) I remember the last time a six pack was about $10 or $12. This is going to break the bank for us since we will be there for 8 days! Would you know the best way for us to get to the nearest supermarket from the CSR? We will not have a car since we will be taking the ME.

Much appreciation for any help you could give us!!
