The "new" College Scorecard

Frankly, before hearing about it on NPR yesterday I'd never heard of the old one. Has anyone used it to research colleges? Have you compared it to US News & World Reports' or College Boards' (did I do those apostrophe's right?) scoring systems? Or did you, like me, didn't even know it existed?

I don't put too much faith into the ranking system of colleges that rely on a lot of student input, especially the ones that have questions about 'party atmosphere' etc. I think it's more important to look at useful majors and which schools give you a solid degree for the least amount of money.
